This book was nothing like I thought it was going to be and I’m going to be honest I was very disappointed.
The summary of this book is was amazing, I was really interested in finding out what happen. I was expecting far more then what I read and it just didn’t add up for me. I felt like this book had a lot of potential but it went from being “oh wow what’s going to happen.” To it just being “really this is it.”
Don’t get me wrong the beginning of this book gets you excited.. Sam is talking about another bear coming at him because he was in his truck with Suzy, then switches off to him at the ceremony being force to stand there so he can mate with Amelia. That he hated.
And it had me thinking, oh is this going to be one of the things when he gets away, and goes to be with Suzy. Or is this going to be one of those books where he falls in love with Amelia and you find out that she not all that bad as he thought.
But no she is this horrible person and yes he runs away much to everyone surprise. Now there’s another player in this book that isn’t mention in the summary. Her name is Jessa and she a wolverine shifter. Now I’m thinking oh this is about to get a hell of a lot interesting . And it doesn’t but not for the right reason that I was thinking.
Jessa goes searching for Sam to bring him back and goes to find Suzy, everything sounds good. Then BAM things goes from sound like this is going to be one of those stories that you’re going to be telling everyone about to be one of those books where your like “wait what? What just happen to the plot?”
Basically Jessa, Suzy, and Sam have a three way, and among the line I guess they need one another in each other lives. Fine that okay with me whatever, but the story doesn’t even stay with the summary or the plot.
Once Suzy does what she has to do in order to help Sam it just ends with sex. The book is a bunch of scenes ending in sex, not once following the summary or plot line.
Now I like a good sex scene here and there in my book but come on I really was expecting something really good out of this book. Well other than the sex scene. And it doesn’t end there Viola Notte ends it with them having sex.
You don’t get to find out anything that happens with Amelia, with her trying to take over both pack. Or the fact that her brother are set out to kill Sam, or what’s going to happen with Suzy. Nothing.
The only exciting thing about the whole book that has your interest other than the sex scene is when Jessa nearly kills Sam while fighting him. That’s it.
So I can say I’m disappointed in this book, a complete let down. I would recommend this book to anyone that is just looking for erotic books. Nothing but sex this is a book for you, but for anyone like myself that read the summary and wanted to read what happen with plot and etc. DO NOT READ THIS BOOK, YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED. I feel like this should’ve been less than $2.99 and that the summary should be alter. A great summary but it doesn’t really have anything to do with the book all that much. -
Not too impressed
Ok so this is book two of a series and I haven't read book one so bear with me. The books premise is good and the characters likeable. I just didn't feel it. I guess I need to read book one first. -
Pretty sexy story. Sam was due to mate Amelia but he is in love with Suzy who needed to be changed into a Bear Shifter for them to be mated and overthrow the threat. It was fast, quite harsh. Would have liked more description of the characters and surround - it just didn't grab me!
