An adventure of epic proportions!

I, Geronimo Stilton, had returned to the Kingdom of Fantasy on the wings of the Phoenix of Destiny! Blossom, Queen of the Fairies, needed my help once again. But Blossom was behaving strangely. She sent me off on quest after magical quest, each one more bizarre and dangerous than the last. It felt like my missions were building up to something truly terrible right under my snout. Could my friends and I put things right again? It's a story full of twists and turns, mazes and puzzles, and tons of fantastical creatures!

I read it aloud to a class of 10 year olds. They loved it. The pages are gold-edged and the cover is very beautiful. The children appreciated the way it looked. The Kindle edition would have been a big disappointment to them.

  • Siva Nachiappan

the book was ok but the end of the book was very obvios and the story kept on dragging on
but it had a nice message and moral

Es fantástico. Este libro es muy divertido (=

I really enjoyed this story. I checked it out from my library because I love how the book is designed: it has an intriguing cover and gold-edged pages! I read it as part of the
Tome Topple Readathon. And I'm glad I did. This book made for a nice break when I was feeling bored by another of the tomes I am reading (*ahem*
    Lonesome Dove *cough, cough*).

Sadly, I still have over 500 pages to go in Lonesome Dove, but I wanted to finish one of the four tomes I was reading, so I focused on this one today (August 8, 2017).

I really enjoyed this story. Geronimo Stilton is a delightful mouse protagonist and his adventures in here made for fascinating reading. I loved how we readers were given mazes and puzzles to solve, and a strange alphabet to decode (with the help of the key at the end of the book). :-)

I do wish, though, that the pages that asked us to find the phoenix feathers and Geronimo's notebook and pen had been worked into the beginning of the story. Coming as they did at the end, well. . . I did enjoy this story, but I didn't want to go through all 574 pages again to find those things. :-/

Apart from that minor complaint, though, this was a fun story. I loved how the text incorporated special fonts and font effects to delineate certain words (example: the word blue was colored blue).

And I really loved the illustrations. The team who created them did a fantastic job! They were so vibrant! :-)

I was a wee bit disappointed that it took Geronimo so long to realize that Blossom so wasn't herself that he should investigate why. But he did eventually investigate, and he did eventually solve that mystery. It took me by surprise that So that was a fun twist, and it explained why :-)

I did find it sort of annoying how, every once in awhile, Geronimo would drop a line referencing an earlier adventure of his in the Kingdom of Fantasy. I hadn't realized there were earlier adventures. But in the end of the book there was a long list of other stories featuring Geronimo and others. This book is apparently the eighth!

Again, though, this was a really fun story and I really enjoyed it. :-)

I am now hoping that my library owns others in this series, so that I can read all of Geronimo's adventure stories. :-)

Geweldig boek. Gekocht voor onze zoon, maar het boek trok zo aan dat ik het ook maar gelezen heb.
Zeker een aanrader voor de jonge lezer.

waarom deze boeken altijd favoriet zullen blijven:

    - healing my inner child
    - nostalgie
    - kras en ruik pagina's (hallo hoe creatief)
    - puzzels en zoekplaten tussendoor
    - geheimschrift
    - ZOVEEL fantasie landen/wezens

Sis u helped me through the tough times when I was a 9 year old <3

I read this book for nostalgic reasons. I do realize I’m not really the target audience for this book. I remember reading the kingdom of fantasy books but I had never read this one growing up. I thought the plot was really repetitive and through the middle I got kind of done with it. However I think it ends in a very meaningful way so that’s why I gave it three stars.

Geronimo is one of my son's favorite characters! We love reading these together.

As a bibliophile I was drawn in by the cool illustrations, quality paper and that a recent book had gold trim. So I borrowed it! On one hand it is utterly delightful, Geronimo is a mouse, who had many adventures in the land of Fantasy, and he returns once more to a series of quests set by the Fairy Queen Blossom. However Blossom appears somewhat changed, in fact after 1st visit he is greeted by locked doors and doesn't see her throughout. (Not often I start a series with the last one out).
The writing changes fonts, illustrations are prolific and the story is interspersed with find it puzzles and mazes (unusually for me I found them easy). There is a plethora of characters with new and old friends involved.
As an adult I found myself wanting a child to read it to, (and wondering if my grandson is too old for this or would it spark a revival of interest in reading?) The author takes a ton of cliches and re-invents them with an original outlook. (or something like that). Yet after awhile the repeated start of Blossom not seeing him is annoying. While the adventures unique and enjoyable, they are too easily and quickly dealt with. Or I'm too used to adult or older kids fantasy!

The Phoenix Of Destiny, by Geronimo Stilton, is about Geronimo going on an adventure to retrieve items from different places in the kingdom of fantasy. Queen Blossom of The Fairies is a nice, and kind queen and is a good friend to Geronimo. But, She has been acting mean lately. What's wrong with Blossom? Find Out in the book! (This is #8 of Geronimo's Kingdom Of Fantasy Adventure so read the first one to understand!) I recommend this book to kids 8-10. If you like fantasy, comedy, and action, then this is the book for you! Geronimo is a mouse that works at a newspaper place. He can get scared a lot of times but never gives up! The Phoenix of destiny is actually a frog with a curse! Her real name is Scarletthopper. Daughter of Scribblehopper, a friend of Geronimo. I rate this book 9 stars!

this time Geronimo Is going to go the the Kingdom of Fantasy. this time, Is very dangerous, mysterious and scariest quest! and the book is so beautiful though! Blossom,Queen of the fairies, seems to be very disturbing and mean! he demand Geronimo go to the every land of the Kingdom of Fantasy to search for items that she want. Actually the mean Blossom wasn't a REAL Blossom, but she is Blossom evil twins, Wither. She demand Geronimo to search for Sweet Dreams cradle at the Munchy wizards,Crystal coffin at the land of Vampirat, Essence of darkness at the Batlandia, click clack chain at the dragons place, and many more! this Is the best trip ever that I ever read

I'm giving this five stars because of how much my kids (5 and 8) love it. This is by far the longest book that my five-year-old has read all by himself. So obviously he's pretty enamored with it. I dig all the maps and puzzles and mazes and illustrations.
