    Excellent photography

This book has excellent photos of the wonders of the world. The facts are interesting and are some that I had not known. This book cab be used by teachers as a tool in the classroom, by children for school reports or for enjoyment.

A Nice Introduction to World Wonders

I enjoyed going through this picture book with my toddler niece. She liked looking at the pictures and really enjoyed that we could zoom in on details, such as the beaded gowns. We were able to relate some of the images and locations to favorite storybook and characters, making this book more relevant for her while also giving her favorite princess characters a more realistic background and history.

It definitely provided us with some inspiration for our library trip this afternoon to pick new books to read over the next two weeks. She's definitely wanting to see more dresses from around the world after getting to see the delicate Indian sari. Inspiration is always a good start to learning something new.

The images are crisp and clear. The resolution is solid for zooming in on small details. The narrative is clear and simple enough for grade school children to read alone or with parents.

I do wish that the narrative had been included alongside/on the same page as the images rather than having to flip back and forth. Reading a little, swiping back to the image, then back to the narrative over and over wasn't difficult but was tedious. Even if the narrative had been before the images would have been a better layout in my opinion, as then we could have gone into the image with a general idea and then just absorbed the beautiful and vibrant imagery in the e-book.

Even with my feelings about layout, it didn't detract from our enjoyment of this e-book over breakfast this morning.

disclaimer: I received this book for free as an e-book (at the time of this review, it's available for free to everyone) in exchange for my fair and unbiased review.
