"Readers looking for a sophisticated fantasy that shows a raw, rowdy, and rough side of life will be utterly satisfied. For fans of Robin LaFevers's His Fair Assassins series." -School Library Journal "An evocative, romantic adventure." -The Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books Glory is the Fenris Wolf, bound for hundreds of years in the shape of a small human girl so she can never grow large enough to devour Baldur the Beautiful, god of light. Imprisoned with her hunger, Glory may not be able to swallow the sun whole, but she can hunt Baldur down, rip out his heart with her hands, and eat him a piece at a time. Glory tries to deny her desire because she knows when she does eat Baldur it will signal the end of the world. But would that really be such a bad thing? These days the United States of Asgard seems too decadent, too media-saturated, and too greedy. It is rotting from within and maybe it should burn. Maybe now is the time, and her hunger is growing for a reason. Only two people stand in her way: Soren Bearstar, devoted to Baldur and a strong berserker warrior, and Tyr the Just, god of balance and shadows. Glory loves both of them, but when a girl finally embraces her destiny, is any love enough to keep the sun in the sky? With evocative writing and lush world building, Tessa Gratton once again captivates readers with her inventive reimagining of Norse mythology and American life in the latest novella in the United States of Asgard series. "With razor-sharp prose and bone-deep emotions, Tessa Gratton doesn't just tell a story. She invites readers into another world-- one we hate to leave when the last page is turned." -Saundra Mitchell, author of Mistwalker and The Vespertine

Glory's Teeth is my favourite of the United States of Asgard novellas. It does help that Glory (AKA The Fenris Wolf) has always been my favourite of the reoccurring secondary characters in Tessa Gratton's United States of Asgard novels.

Glory is the fiercest and most dangerous girl in the United States of Asgard, as she is the one who will cause the end of the world by eating the sun. She knows it. She owns it. And she hungers for it. This is the story of her hunger and her ongoing relationship with Tyr, the god of justice. This is also the first time we see Glory from within her own head, and Gratton does an amazing job of capturing Glory's hunger and despair.

Glory's Teeth is about having that endless hunger, that empty ache, and as a result it's also a story about kindness. This is a story focused on the emotional arc and internal battles. At the core of this tale is the important reminder that everyone deserves to be loved, even the Fenris Wolf.

Love a story about hungry, monstrous girls, and Fenris is a really good hungry monster girl. It's been a while since I've read a United States of Asgard story, but the references I did catch made me smile. And it's lovely to get Fenris's full story, since she sort of pops in the narrative in other places.

Anyway the sort of driving force of this novella is "I will never be satisfied" and it's pretty good to just-- see that painted tall. Fenris/Glory is great.

I wish I could give this book 6 stars. My absolute favorite from this author.

Good, but not my favourite ox the New Asgard books

I really love Tessa Gratton's take on the idea of what a " United States of Asgard" would be like. The world she's built is vibrant and feels like it could really exist. But as much as I love the other books this one just felt a bit flat to me. Maybe it's because Glory has never been my favourite of her characters, but something just felt a bit off. Also, while I know wolves depend on their highly sensitive sense of smell, with so much of Glory's narration being about what she smelled, the book could really have been called "Glory's Nose." On the whole, though, it's well worth reading if your a fan of the other books in the series.

This another one of Gratton's shorts I would recommend to wait until you have finished the series. I quite enjoyed it although, maybe quite like Fenris, I hungered for more, she is one of my favorite characters. I think a series should be dedicated just to her! If you are a fan of the series, don't miss out on this short story.

Pretty good. Did not like how it ended.
