I've actually never read a Bella Andre before but that defiantly doesn't mean I've never heard of her highly rated Sullivan series from friends. Though I'm glad my first read (from this author) was a sports Romance...
Since I do have a weakness for hot sweaty guys...BUT I usually seem to attract the cute BUT psychotic ones... :/

Game for Anything starts out 10 years after our leads Ty Calhoun & Julie Spencer graduated High school...True,they might have spent less than 12 hours in each other's arms all those years ago but for some reason that one night in that boat yacht together just doesn't seem to let them go..
My Thoughts on the characters: I loved Ty & Julie.They were wonderful characters.Both streamed from a sad childhood which ended up shaping them into sad,career-driven adults who get driven apart by their individual insecurities.
"And now she was nearly thirty,still running up these stairs,still hiding from everything she did not want to face,still looking for someone to love her back.."
My Thoughts on the plot: The plot was well paced and enjoyable.I loved the sexy batter between the couple just as much as I loved their emotional scenes..
Game for Anything is written in Dual POV so the reader gets an insight to BOTH,Ty&Julie's minds while getting spinets of the past through flash-backs mid-story...
Would I recommend this read ?
Defiantly ! Especially if your an avid sports-romance fan and have a weakness for guys on the field like me. ;)

Well, We do get to meet Book two's hero Dominic in this read..I actually didn't find his character intriguing personally..But since I rated this a FIVE,Im willing to give Book 2 a go...

2.5 stars for this no-brainer story about two people that don’t really do much but have sex here and there, have boohoo sad families, love little kids and want to help them in an aww-shucks-what-a-guy kind of way –time to queue the ol’ spew. Seen too much of that already that.
Here you have the hot babe football star who doesn’t want to be taken for a dumb jock anymore. Then there’s the brainy rich girl who has a successful business. The two had a one night stand back in high school and they have to work with each other now ten years later.
The writing is simplistic, you can pretty much map out what’s going to happen right to the end after the first few encounters between the h/h, the characters lack depth and the author is obsessed with women’s breasts. There was some love/hate for a bit, some sexual tension that wasn’t developed enough, throw in some sappy stories about how he loves working at football camp and he’s a pal to the poor little kids and there’s your story. It’s the way it’s all written that kills the novel and turns it into a gooey love story. The ending was also sickeningly predictable.
To the author’s credit there are some good sex scenes, the first though came totally out of left field and did not match with the heroine’s character which had me doing a double take.
Good cover but you can skip the pages following because you’ve no doubt read this one already –hopefully a better version :-/ -
Not bad. About 3 1/2 to 4 stars. Ty Calhoun's a high school football star from the wrong side of the tracks with an alcoholic father and an absent mother. The fact that he's gorgeous and on the fast-track to a pro football career doesn't hurt his love life either. On the night of a high school graduation party, he spies his secret crush, class valedictorian Julie Spencer, at the party. Julie's a brainy, beautiful, good girl who grew up with wealth and privelege. To Ty she represents the unattainable. Ty steals her away for an unforgettable night of passion, taking her virginity and stealing her heart in the process. But Ty's feelings of inferiority wreck the morning after, and Julie leaves feeling hurt and humiliated.
Fast forward 10 years, and Ty is now a star quarterback and a Super Bowl champ, with more money, women and fans than he can handle. Ty's been living the high life, partying with friends and assorted hangers-on, and appearing in the gossip pages far too many times. The new owner of his team wants him to settle down and portray a better image, so he hires an image consultant to make-over Ty. The image consultant is none other than his long ago one-night-stand, the woman who all his women are judged against and found lacking--Julie Spencer.
Julie runs her own image consulting business, and is in the process of turning the corner and making it very successful, all done without the help of her family's money. Julie's childhood was not ideal. She has an alcoholic mother and a philandering father. But she's always worked to portray a perfect image of her life, not letting anyone see her hurt or vulnerabilities. When she's offered the job of making over Ty's image, at first she wants to refuse. She's been carrying a grudge against him for 10 long years, and she's not in a forgiving mood. But she can't really afford to turn down such a lucrative offer, and after all, she's a professional. She can certainly face Ty again without being affected, can't she?
Well, apparently not. As soon as Ty and Julie lay eyes on each other again, the attraction is still there, although with lots of resentment on Julie's part. Julie's like a ticking time bomb, waiting to go off in Ty's arms. The attraction is palpable, and they agree to a no strings, hidden affair for two weeks, while Julie works with Ty to repair his public image. But what happens if they lose their hearts to each other in the process? Someone is bound to get hurt...
This was a pretty fast-paced, simple read. Boy from the wrong side of the tracks doesn't feel like he's good enough for the beautiful, successful princess, even though he's become very successful in his own right. And successful princess can't see that the gorgeous athlete didn't have it all so easy, and that they have far more in common besides mutual lust. At first I didn't like Ty too much--he seemed like a cocky, immature party boy, who was reluctant to grow up. But when he got around Julie he started to think about the direction his life was heading, and he began to change. And I warmed up to him once the author showed the vulnerabilities he had, and revealed that he was much more than a good-time-Charlie.
There was something that bugged me about Julie though. She just seemed way too judgmental, and I thought she carried her grudge against Ty, and athletes in general, for way too long. I also thought that Ty's treatment of her wasn't all that bad. She never let him explain, and after all, they were just teenagers, so I thought she could have cut him some slack, and at least let him apologize. And she did it a couple times when she was with Ty later in the story. She was quick to judge without ever hearing his side of the story. I also thought that she didn't really respect him, until late in the story, and was just using him for sex. So I had a little trouble with her, until late in the story when she finally wised up. The love scenes were fairly hot, but not quite in the erotic category, and there was kind of an unexpected twist at the end that I didn't see coming and left me scratching my head. There was also a teammate of Ty's introduced who acted as a sort of confidant to him, and I wouldn't mind reading a story about him in the future. If I had liked the character of Julie better I probably would have given this one a solid 4 stars, but for me it fell just short of that. But I will definitely look forward to reading the next one in this series, called "Game For Seduction". -
I was hoping for a little more from this, but it is still an ok read. The heroine, Julie, is hired as an image consultant for a NFL quarterback, who turns out to be the boy that broke her heart ten years ago. Julie is an uptight professional, Ty is the sexy playboy. She fights her attraction to him; he wants to spend his life with her instantly. I felt like I didn’t really know the characters and why they were they way they were. Yes I got that her dad was a powerful womanizing jerk, and Ty’s father was a drunk. We get told these things almost as an afterthought. The sex scenes are descriptive, but pretty vanilla. I would say this is definitly not erotica. As one reader noted, the author does seem to like boobs. A lot. They are mentioned constantly. A similar plot line is done with a baseball star in Jill Shalvis’s ,
Slow Heat and it’s a meatier (heh) story. I am still interested in this author, and I may check out the second book in the series,
Game for Seduction eventually. The hero, Dom, was mentioned in this one and he seemed potentially interesting. -

I can't say that it was one of my favorite readings, at all! I think this story should have MUCH more romance and less sex, because this is practically sex from the first to the last page, just over to the end is that the author presents us with a bit of romance and truly engaging moments.
I just don't give 1 star, because Ty deserves at least 2, but I found the story very superficial, lacking in content, lack of love, lack of character story and lack of more complete and complex characters. Not my type of reading! -

First off, could the book's cover model's body be any hotter? This is a quick, light, fluff, fun contemporary/sport romance about playboy star quarterback Ty Calhoun and uptight image consultant Julie Spencer hired to shape up his act. She also happens to be the same smart, goody-two-shoes that got her heart stomped on by the football bad-boy 10 years ago. There's some angst and hot sex, but the writing is pretty simplistic. It earns 4 stars for some steamy scenes and the sexy stud on the book cover! -

Bella Andre writes books that are decidedly spicy, but they don’t quite cross over into erotica for me. The fine line that divides mainstream romance and erotica seems to be becoming ever thinner in the past few years. For me to classify a book as erotica, there needs to be something more than just hot sex. Even a lot of hot sex. For me to use the term erotica, the story must have that ‘something’ extra; an unusual sex act, toys, more than two people, etc. So when I say that I don’t think “Game For Anything” crosses the line into erotica, it certainly doesn’t mean there’s not plenty of hot sex…because there is! But the relationship between these two, to me, has more of the elements of a romance than an erotica story. Complaints may be lodged and will be read…but hey, this is MY opinion.
I must confess that I’m not much of a sports fan. I will also confess, however, that football and baseball are fun to watch because it’s always a treat to check out all those buns in tight pants! I know, I know…for real sports fans that’s almost sacrilege, but again, this is MY opinion. The few times I’ve met football stars, I was awed at their sheer size. All I could think was how in the heck did their Mom feed them? A second mortgage? But I could certainly see why these men would be the object of many a fantasy. But with fame comes temptation, and let’s face it, most of these athletes are still kids when they are faced with more money than most of us will ever see in our lifetime and a free ticket for just about anything they want. How ANY of them resist the lure is a mystery. Our hero certainly didn’t tho’, he grabbed on with both hands and is still living it up when we first meet him in the book.
Ty had a crappy childhood, with the exception of football. Football was his ticket out of the trailerpark and into the high life. But always in the back of his mind, he’s measuring himself against others…and coming up short. And nobody can drive that point home quite like the girl he can’t forget. She was smart, rich, and pretty; he took her virginity in a night he can’t forget and she can’t forgive. And now she’s back in his life. She’s a successful image consultant and her job is to clean up his image. He’s fine with that. She can clean up his image while he plots to get her back in his bed.
Julie grew up with the appearance of everything. Her family had money, she was smart, she was pretty…her father was also a womanizing jerk and played around constantly on her alcoholic mother. Julie plowed her energy into her schoolwork and planned for the day she could escape into her own life. But even the ‘brainy’ girls can’t help but notice the school football hero. And for Julie, graduation night was memorable for more than being Valedictorian; it was the night she lost her virginity to the football hero. Only to be dumped the next morning. Now they expect her to polish football’s bad boy’s image?
I enjoyed reading “Game For Anything”. There’s a lot of hot sex, but there’s also a lot of meaningful interaction between Ty and Julie outside of the bedroom (or the lake, or the empty stadium…you get my drift). He has to prove to Julie that he’s more than ‘football’s bad boy’, and Julie has to figure out that appearances aren’t necessarily everything. The author does a good job playing this scenario out. I didn’t feel bogged down anywhere in the book although I would’ve like to have seen a little more fleshing out of the supporting cast. The good news is that you do catch a few glimpses of the hero of her next ‘bad boy’ whose book “Game For Seduction” will release in September 2008. So if you like bad boys, sports heroes, or just some steamy sex, be sure and give Bella Andre’s “Game For Anything” a shot. -
1.5 stars rounded up to 2 - simply because I think I've still read worse books than this one.
I picked up this book mainly because I've been craving some sports romance and I seem to have run out of the most obvious/popular ones (this is a subtle DESPERATE CRY FOR RECS, PLEASE SAVE ME FROM READING MORE BOOKS LIKE THIS ONE).
I shall start with the biggest bone I have to pick with this story, which is...the writing is just bad. SO. BAD. Most of the time I felt as if I was reading a first draft, not a published novel. More than that, it seemed to me that the author just kept writing the first thing that sprang to her mind, with no concern for logic, flow of the story or character development. POVs switched out of the blue in the middle of chapters. Characters seemed to think of not much else besides sex and their main purpose appeared to be lusting after each other.
The worst thing about all of this, however, at least to me, is how this whole story reads as one 300-page long Male Fantasy™ - and not the good kind. Firstly, the author seems to be obsessed with breasts. The heroine, Julie, compares herself to Ty's former flings, all of whom apparently have tiny waists and enormous/huge/surgically-enhanced/inflated boobs, ALL THE TIME. Ty's most reoccurring thought about Julie is how she both has the brains AND a nice rack, HE IS SO LUCKY.
(don't even get me started on how many times it's stressed that all the women Ty used to be with were dumb "bimbos" and apparently all it takes to be a dumb bimbo is have huge breasts and want to sleep with a football player)
Then, there's also a breakfast scene where Julie pretty much pretends to blow a banana because that's OH-SO-HOT.
Now onto romance and the characters. To keep it short, I'll just say this - to me, both fell flat. It's repeated over and over again how hot Julie and Ty are for each other and how angry Julie is at Ty for what he did 10 years ago (slept with her and acted like a jerk after). But despite these things being pretty much beaten into reader's head with a blunt force of a hammer, there is no heat behind the words. No chemistry. It all feels too sudden, with no build-up.
Characters are one-dimensional and just not engaging, in spite of author's attempts to deepen them. The thing is, just like with the romance, it's simply not done well and pretty much resembles some kind of basic formula like: character 1 + [insert] sob story 1 = depth.
Lastly, the ending. Oh boi. There's your typical argument over LITERALLY NOTHING and then the author thought it was a good idea to also throw in some last-minute plot twist that made absolutely NO SENSE and was resolved in the span of two pages. I was left with the overwhelming (actually it was underwhelming, as this whole book was) feeling of WTF.
If I had to find one thing I liked about this book to contribute to this earning 2 stars, not 1, I would have to say smut was surprisingly well-written. Not all of it but some scenes were actually pretty hot. So if you feel like reading something with lots of smut and not much plot (or sense), this might not be a bad pick.
Overall though, I can't recommend this to anyone, not with clear conscience. Personally, I learned my lesson and won't be reading anything by Bella Andre again. I just have no patience or time to waste on something I won't enjoy. -
While this book was entertaining, I didn't feel that it had much plot or character development. It was very quick and easy to read, but I was left feeling that something was lacking. The heroine wasn't particularly likeable through most of the book because of the extreme dislike that she had harbored for the hero for ten years. This colored too much of their early interaction for me, and it kept me from feeling much empathy for her. At first, the hero came across as a dissipated bad boy with poor judgement, but he tried to straighten up fairly quickly. The book was mostly enjoyable, but wasn't one of the better ones that I have read lately.
Julie Spencer, image consultant, has hated Ty Calhoun ever since she spent a passionate night with him ten years ago. When pro quarterback Ty's wild lifestyle causes him to be photographed one too many times with a scantily clad female, the new owner of his team insists that his public image must be improved. Ty is offended until he hears that the team owner wants to hire Julie. Ty has never forgotten that night with Julie that was incredibly special to him. He realizes that he made mistakes with Julie, but he was young and didn't feel that he could ever deserve her. Ty has never found another woman who could measure up to his memories of Julie.
Julie is horrified at the idea of working with Ty, but she needs the money, so she grudgingly agrees. Against her will, Julie is still very attracted to Ty. Before long, they are carried away by passion and involved in a steamy secret relationship that they declare will be temporary. As they spend time together, Julie begins to see things that she admires about Ty, and she realizes she may have misjudged him. Julie and Ty have to come to terms with the feelings that are developing for one another, and Julie must decide if she can ever truly trust Ty while he has to get past his feelings of being undeserving of her.
Overall, this was an enjoyable sports romance, but the storyline was a little bit too simplistic and underdeveloped for me. Both of the characters had issues that kept them from being easily likeable in the beginning, but I was rooting for both of them by the end. I felt more sympathy for the hero than the heroine because even toward the end of the book,she still doesn't really trust him. Even though I didn't find the book exceptionally appealing, it was good enough to make me want to read the next in the series. -

What I Liked: The story is easy to read and light, after the more emotional and drama-filled books that I finished lately it was perfect(adding to the fact that crappy school time is coming). It seemed to me that it was the "one that got away"and the "let's-assume-to-make-an-ass-out-of-you-and-me" type of book.
What I didn't like: The lack of communication got old fast. I get that they love sex, and great sex is hard to find, but how about a few minutes of conversation? Also the ending was anticlimactic and it suit as a saddle suits a sow.

Favorite character: I don't think I have an actual favorite, though Ty was ok. Not one of them was very memorable.
My least favorite character: Bobby-the way he treated women and spoke down on them, a big NO-NO in my book(thank Gods we don't see him often)

Favorite scene: I'll go with all the love and other scenes:
1st place: balcony sex at a party
2nd place: Ty's art and leisure room(making out around great paintings and sculptures is hot)
3rd place: Julie's room in her parents' house(it was so sweet!)
Honorable mention: making out on the shore of a lake(it would have been 1st place if it was in the night, below the shining rays the moon)

Would I recommend the book: If you are into sport romances, reformed bad boys and easy reads this one is for you!

Lo último que esperaba Julie era reencontrarse con el chico que amó en el instituto y al que le dio el mayor regalo de su vida. Y mucho menos esperaba tener que trabajar con él. Julie odia a Ty con toda su alma desde el día de su graduación así que cualquier intento por su parte de revivir una relación inexistente entre ellos es inútil... O no?
La historia me estaba gustando mucho, era dulce y con esa tensión y resistencia cuando quieren odiar pero no dan.
Ty es un oso grande amoroso con una armadura que hace que parezca un deportista estúpido y rico pero en realidad es todo lo contrario. Por eso, a pesar de que la cagó cuando eran niños y de verdad, sigo pensando que 10 años después ella ya debería haber pasado página, el drama innecesario que se hizo al final ME SOBRABA. Porque uno: se hizo una montaña de un grano de arena de algo que se sacó la autora de la manga. Creo que quería hacer drama con algo y no encontró con que y dijo pues esto! Y dos: Julie es tonta perdida. Creo que ella solo buscaba una excusa para poder mandar a Ty a la mierda y con lo de Jack dijo: me voy cagar en todos sus muertos y me quedo tan pancha. Y lo hizo, le dijo cosas feísimas porque le salió del mismísimo y que no venían a cuenta y luego ella se quejaba porque él le contestó de la misma forma. No sé qué esperabas querida, te crees que puedes hacerle daño a una persona y ella simplemente se quedará ahí esperando a que acabes? Pues no. Y también quiero decir que odio a las protagonistas que siempre necesitan saberlo todo, hasta cuándo el tipo va a cagar. De verdad que entiendo que no debe haber secretos, ciertos secretos, en una pareja pero no tengo porqué contarte ABSOLUTAMENTE TODO. De verdad que me da una rabia cuando se ponen en plan gilipollas por eso...
Bueno, al margen de mis quejas el libro es genial. La historia es fácil de leer, rapidita a pesar de que no es una historia corta y el drama aunque es absurdo e innecesario es corto y se resuelve rápido. -

Really enjoyed Ty and Julie's story! Loved watching the "star crossed lovers" in high school get a second chance. He was a jock and she was the valedictorian and they each thought they didn't stand a chance with each other. Now as successful adults they are forced back into close contact, she is hired to revamp his image and clean up his act. It is a chance neither can pass up and boy did to sparks fly! Lots of steam later, they admit to themselves and each other that they love each other. I thought the end was a little forced and somewhat weird, but I am still looking to reading about more of those bad boys! -

had I read this as a first book/try I would never have tried another of her books..wich would have been a shame because that way I would have missed out on the Sullivan series...

I've finally read my first trashy romance. Thin plot, transparent and unbelievable characters, and repetitive sex make this book more like a rejected porn movie script than a novel. I had to force my way through.

How fun! I was a little disappointed there wasn't more football action in this book - but the romance was Great!
Ty had just scored the Superbowl's winning touchdown - life couldn't get better than it was right now! Then he looked up into the crowds, saw the mess of blonde hair, and his hopes soared - could she have actually came to the game?? See his victory?? Then the lady pushed her hair back, and he realized it wasn't Julie - the one girl that got away 10 years ago. Day after day he thought of her, and even while out celebrating his victory, getting drunk, sleeping with women, making the life most would sell their soul for, Ty's life wasn't everything.
Julie's new business as an image consultant was finally on the way. She just needed to get a few high paying customers to help get things rolling.
That's why when Jay, the Agent of the ever famous Ty Calhoun - the quarterback for the San Francisco Outlaw's football team, needed Julie to help clean up Ty's image, no matter how much she wanted to turn him down, she knew the money, and the name would help get her business going.
Ty and Julie had gone to high school together. Julie was the valedictorian for their school, and of course, Ty was the Jock that everyone fell over themselves to fall into his crowed for.
The night of graduation, Julie found herself at the same graduation party as Ty. Watching him from across the room, she couldn't help but think of what could have been.. She had never kissed a guy before. but she had dreamed over the years of kissing him.. more than kissing him.
She couldn't' stand to watch him "bump and grind" with another bimbo, so she walked out the door, when she reached the railing, she heard the door shut behind her. turning around, there was Ty, stalking her.
His kissed her, and she didn't want to stop there. He had the key to the boat behind the house. They went down and spent the night together. A night of sweet passion that neither one of them were prepared for.
And the next morning, He broke her heart, and she shattered his only wish.. to be with her again.
And now 10 years later , they were thrown together by fate. And Ty could see it in her eyes that she wanted him just as badly as he wanted her.
Could they forget the past and get over his playboy image and have something meaningful? Or was everything a joke to Ty and never taking anything seriously?
Could Ty ever think he was good enough in Julie's eyes. Sure he had money, fame, and women throwing themselves at him, but could she see past all that superficial stuff, and get to know his real thoughts and feelings??
Great Story. Loved the barter between the two, and the innuendos were fun :)

I am a huge fan of Bella Andre! I have enjoyed reading the other two books from her trilogy Bad Boys Of Football, and this one was no different.
And aside from being a Bella Andre fan, I’m also into sports-centered books. This book features Tyler’s story, the boy from the wrong side of the tracks who meets the girl from the right side. And they have one night of explosive and mind-blowing sex.
My Casting:
Tyler Calhoun is the super-hot, sexy, and bad-boy quarterback for the Superbowl-winning Outlaws. But behind his image lies a good man with a soft heart, especially when it comes to the only woman who can ever fulfill his desire. He regretted his actions ten years ago. And he was willing to give anything to be with her again.
Julie Spencer is one tough lady. She came from a good family but didn’t rely on her parent’s money. She built her career on her own. She’s been trying to forget the past, specifically where Ty was a concern. But because of some unfortunate instances, she was hired to be the new image consultant for none other than Ty. And because she’s professional, she accepted the job. What she didn’t account for were the feelings she felt whenever he was around.
I like how their relationships slowly developed. Especially when Julie realized that he was not what she thought he was, that there was more to him. And as for Ty, he was willing to do everything to have her once again and made her realize how much he cared. I also loved that it was told from both Ty and Julie’s points of view.
As for the sex, it was oh-so-hot. Ty and Julie had hot in spades.
It was a quick, fun, and enjoyable read. Highly entertaining. Even those who are not a fan of football will appreciate this book about second chances. -
Tengo que admitir que elegí leer el libro por la portada. Sí, ya sé que dije que no siempre se debe juzgar a un libro justamente por eso, pero no me digan que no se ve tentador????? XD.
Pero también lo elegí por la cantidad de páginas que tiene. Es nada más que para variar un poco porque vengo leyendo libros largos.
Ty y Julie compartieron una noche especial el día de su graduación. Pero ellos nunca se habían dirigido la palabra antes. A pesar de que Julie siempre ha estado enamorada de él, siempre supo que Ty no le daría la hora ya que, después de todo él es la super-estrella del equipo de fútbol americano y por ende, no le faltan mujeres.
Pero cuando esa noche Ty se le acerca, ella comienza a tener esperanzas, que lamentablemente terminan en la nada.
Ty tiene todo lo que quiere....chicas....fama... pero eso no compensa el hecho de tener un padre alcohólico que sólo lo ve como un fajo de billetes andante. Y también está el tema de que no ha podido dejar de pensar en Julie.
Diez años han pasado y ninguno de los dos puede olvidarse del otro. Así que cuando Ty tiene la oportunidad de poder acercarse a ella, obviamente la toma.
Julie por su parte, no quiere saber nada con el hombre que rompió su corazón. Pero cuando él empieza a provocarla no se puede resistir. Sobretodo cuando se da cuenta de que Ty no es sólo una cara bonita sino que por dentro existe un hombre gentil, amoroso y compañero.
Así que por un lado tenemos a la dama que decide "aprovechar" los momentos que pasa con él pero sin caer enamorada de nuevo y, por el otro, a un hombre decidido a conquistar a la mujer que ama.
Una historia de romance con un toque de drama personal que me gustó bastante. -
This was a okay read,no conflicts between Ty-Julie,just that Julie had a crush on Ty in school and he thought she was too good for him but one night they both went ahead and Ty slept with Julie n took her virginity n said some hurtful things to her which made her vow she will never ever see n meet Ty again now its been 10 years,Ty is a Super Bowl player keeps sleeping around with strippers-groupies his pics are being posting in newspapers some lip locking n even worse
Then the team is taken up by someone conservative who gives ultimatum to Ty if he wants to stay in the team he has give up his wild life n be decent n clean his image which leads to bringing back Julie in his life she is image consultant who cleans all the messes for rich n famous and she is hired to clean out Ty's image n make him proper n respectful which Ty sees as an opportunity to ask for forgiveness for what he had done 10 years back to her cause he has been in guilt for his behaviour
There was no issues or conflicts in the story,just that Ty is ashamed for his behaviour and is in guilt and Julie she was heart broken but when she sees Ty again she keeps melting at his one look,how these 2 make their way to HEA
This was my first book by Bella Andre she writes good and her sexual scenes are steamy n sensuous but I am not a big fan of eroticas so did'nt enjoyed this book -

Well, there were moments I liked and others that got on my nerves. I'm waffling between a 2-3 star for this one. Since I can't do 1/2 stars, it's 2.5 stars, rounded up.
I really liked that Ty not only loved and was good at his job, but at other things as well. The same goes for Julie. I did think Julie quickly jumped to her own conclusions and didn't give the other party a chance to explain.
They got together super fast. I would have liked more exploration of their childhoods (and how it shaped the adults they are), I thought that part was settled very quickly. Instead, what was brought up repeatedly (in cause my brain wasn't working), was Julie's wealth and privilege and Ty's being from a trailer park.
What got super annoying was reading how hot Ty is and how women just can't help themselves when around him- ".."quivering masses of hormones." His supreme hotness was brought up, at least in the first half, EVERY FREAKING CHAPTER!" If I was playing a drinking game, I'd be drunk and passed out easily by chapter 10. -
Bad Boys of Football is just a spin off of so many other books around this topic. My favourite type of romances are those which are connected with second chances. When people meet young and then discover how much they've grown. Most of the time I find it endearing if it's written well.
Some are, some are not. Game for Anything wasn't because it was too fast, it gave answers too quickly and it melted my enthusiasm too sharply. She hated him too much, gave herself too naively and he didn't convince me that he was that good, that smart, that successful, that regretful, that funny, that sexy.
I did a little research on these players; of the teams who won Super Bowl in the past few years and I've discovered that 9/10 players are really bad looking.
The only one who looks good is Tom. -
Ty and Julie had a one night stand the night of their high school graduation. When things ended badly, Julie vowed to hate Ty forever. Cut to 10 years later when Ty is a Super Bowl winning football player and Julie is an image consultant. When Julie is hired to reform Ty's bad boy image, her feelings for him resurface and they start having an affair. Things go from good to great when Ty reveals that he is in love with Julie, but Julie still feels that she can't trust Ty. When a misunderstanding sends Julie leaving Ty stranded and alone, Ty has to prove to Julie that he is not the teenager who left her after their one night stand ten years earlier.
This is the first book in a series by Bella Andre about "bad boys of football." Clearly these books are predictable, but they are a good, fast, entertaining read. -
Pretty good read. Say at least 3.5. or 4. Very sexy read. I like that Ty was from the wrong side of the tracks and Julie was from a wealthy family. Even with the heartbreak 10 years before, that they worked together and found a way to make it work. Ty was made real by working with kids and charity events. While Julie was constantly working through trust issues with Ty. Ty still feeling like hes not good enough. I look forward to the next book in this series.

Didn't finish it. He was a jerk. And her goal was to reform his bad-boy image. So she has sex with him at a party, where they could easily be caught. Kinda defeats her whole goal.

Formula en este libro:
Si amas todo esto en un libro este es para ti.
Constante mente me pregunto por que cuesta tanto para las y los escritores escribir sobre mujeres que son fuertes no solo en el sentido de cree mi propio negocio y soy independiente económicamente, si no ir más allá carácter, determinación, amor propio. Es frustrante terminan siendo absurdamente infantiles y casi dependientes. Y por el lógicamente se dan cuenta que solo eran una fachada dura y que solo querían que alguien las ame. Siempre lo digo y diré no quiero insultar a nadie con mis comentarios pero di.
Uno más que esta lleno de personajes, planos, vacíos que si intentan tener trasfondo pero este termina siendo predecible o apresurado, lleno de múltiples escenas de sexo y peleas después de este, peleas para luego reconciliarse y como simpre un argumento para terminar apresuradamente el libro. -

Men are humorous for all the wrong reasons.
Normally I don’t have a reason to hate the format of books, but this one was strange. The POV switching back to each other’s pov messed with me, I think the author did a well job. But it just caught me off guard.
I liked the flashbacks, I wish it was more slow burn and not just all in to a sexual relationship. -
Von Bella Andre kenne ich bereits ein paar Geschichten und so war ich natürlich in den Startlöchern als ich hörte, dass sie nun auch eine Sportlerromanze am Start hat.
Im Fokus stehen Ty und Julie, die beide eine gemeinsame Vorgeschichte haben und nun zusammenarbeiten müssen. Ty ist der Starquarterback seines Teams, aber durch die Übernahme des Teams, muss er nun zu einem Imageberater, denn er ist ein typischer Sportler, wie ich finde. Hier trifft er auf Julie, denn sie ist beste Beraterin des Landes.
Persönlich fand ich Bella Andres neues Buch richtig klasse, denn wie schon in anderen Büchern hat sie eine tolle Mischung aus Gefühlen und Leben am Start. Es geht nämlich nicht nur um die Liebesgeschichte zwischen den beiden und ob bzw. die beiden sich näherkommen, sondern auch um alles rund herum. In diesem Roman geht es natürlich um Sport und was Sportler so alles machen. Dieser Aspekt war ebenso wie die Sache mit der Romantik richtig toll beschrieben und ich habe mich toll amüsiert. Das Ende war etwas absehbar und die Geschichte hat toll für kurzweilige Unterhaltung gesorgt.
Die Protagonisten waren toll dargestellt und ich fand das beide sehr tiefgründig wirkten. Ty ist der Held der Geschichte und er wurde auch so beschrieben. Er war sympathisch und authentisch, wodurch ich ihn richtig toll fand. Julie war ebenso gelungen dargestellt und ich fand sie sehr interessant. Ihre Arbeit würde mir wahrscheinlich auch gefallen, denn ich stelle es war mir als sehr spannend vor, wenn man anderen Menschen ein besseres Image besorgen muss.
Die Schreibweise war locker und rund, sodass die Seiten nur so dahingeflogen sind. Das Buch war toll zu lesen und ich konnte der Handlung gut folgen. Diese wird aus wechselnder Perspektive der beiden Hauptcharaktere erzählt, wodurch es schön abwechslungsreich bleibt.
Das Cover finde ich sehr ansprechend.
Fazit:
Toller Auftakt, der die typischen Aspekte einer Sportler – Liebesgeschichte enthält. Ich habe mich toll amüsiert und kann das Buch so absolut weiterempfehlen.

I really enjoy the sports-centered books. This one is about Ty, quarterback for the Superbowl-winning Outlaws.
I loved Julie's character. She came from money, but not necessarily a good home life. She has built her career and business entirely on her own. She knows how to handle and work people and is totally confident about herself and her own abilities until she gets around Ty and then she tends to melt into a hormonal puddle.
Ty has his own issues. He was raised by an alcoholic father at the edge of poverty. Dear old dad saw Ty as a talented way to make money...not as a son. Ty has a natural talent, charisma, and good looks and he has let his life maintain a fairly shallow level. He has always regretted the events of the morning after his night of passion with Julie and she's always stayed close to the surface of his thoughts. Just like, for Julie, no man has ever compared in her mind to Ty.
I like how this relationship slowly develops esp. for Julie. Ty never has any doubt from the moment that he hears her name that he wants her in his bed again. Julie, on the other hand, still feels the anger and hurt that was left after he took her virginity. But as she begins to know Ty better, she starts to see him in a better light and begins to think that maybe her hormones may not be so out of whack with what her mind and heart need.
There were a few minor issues with this book and the characters in it acting consistently, but honestly, people (esp. when there are emotions involved) don't necessarily act consistently.
Bella Andre writes great, emotional, sexy reads and this one is no exception. It's a really fun book to read. Highly entertaining with just enough heat to find you reaching for your significant other. -
Julie and Ty hooked up for one AMAZING night in high school but the morning after turned into a disaster. Ten years later, Ty is a Super Bowl bad boy hero and Julie is the image consultant hired to set him on a 'good boy' path.
Now, I think Bella Andre is a good writer. I like football and I like smut. So this should have been a perfect match. Unfortunately, Julie, who is supposed to be a professional 28 yo woman but acts like a hormonal immature twit with an extra dose of shrill. And really the reason her 'heart was broken' the morning after is all sorts of lame. So is her being hung up on 'the best night of her sexual life' being her FIRST TIME in HIGH SCHOOL TEN YEARS AGO. I just kept thinking...Sweetie, you ain't doing it right. As for Julie 'growing up' facing her parents and 'finding her own footing in life'...eh, I was mostly WTF?! She's getting a spine now? Did her fairy godmother just show up and give it to her when I wasn't looking? So yeah, I was never able to connect with Julie the Immature Shrill.
That leaves us with the bad boy hero with the heart of gold, Ty, well, he wasn't that great either. I thought he was immature as well. He sounded like a great roll in the hay but not someone to take home to Momma. Yes, he has some endearing qualities but his smart-assery just comes off as assholery.
Why is it so hard to find a solid, entertaining football romance? I want some football with my smex. Is that too much to ask? (I've read the first SEP and yeah, I'm still looking for a good football smut. Let me know if you know of any.)
