Does the patch of stormy sea between the tip of Florida, Puerto Rico and Bermuda hide a dark and frightening secret? For decades, there have been cases of ships and aircraft that seem to vanish in this part of the Atlantic Ocean. Others who have survived flying or sailing through, have reported strange occurrences, such as clocks and navigational instruments failing. Are all of these reports true? Is there a mystery lurking? Using the scientific method and available data, this book attempts to find out!

This title is one of the “Solving Mysteries with Science” series. Beginning with some well-known narratives that describe disappearances and unexplained events in the Bermuda triangle, the text then takes a scientific approach in finding logical and technical explanations for these mysteries. The book has two clear-cut sections: the prose-like introductory pages and the textbook-like second half (“Investigating the Triangle”) that relies heavily on the scientific method, natural phenomena and research to offer valid explanations of the strange occurrences. The format in the second half is engaging and filled with photographs, fact boxes and charts that support debunking the myth of the Bermuda Triangle. Ultimately the author lets the reader draw his own conclusion. Back matter includes a timeline, glossary, bibliography, websites and index. Books about the unexplained are always popular and this one is more definitive than most. Order if needed. The one negative of this title is the surprisingly small font that is used throughout.

As I began reading this book on page 14 well that's when the sentence was started but anyway this book is amazing because in my point of view it was horrifying and mystery. My point of view when it was horrifying because in 1881 a ship called the "Ellen Austin" encounter a ghost ship when they're near the Bermuda Triangle so the captain of the Ellen Austin ordered some of his crew members to look for the crew members in the ghost ship. But soon he gave ordered their ship was hit by a rogue wave even the ghost ship but as soon it was done the ghost ship appeared and none of the captain's men was on board. In one of the pages people are disappearing because of the Bermuda Triangle but few people are using science to do the work and solve the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle disappearances. Therefore without a doubt,I conclude that the Bermuda Triangle is a mystery triangle but who knows that people are disappearing but if science will work to figure why people are disappearing than they solved it but if science isn't working than the Bermuda Triangle is a mystery and horrifying to others.
