The A, B, Cs have never been so sexy.

Beth is the perfect sub: quiet, obedient, and well trained. After years of membership in LA’s most exclusive BDSM club she’s served many of the most demanding masters and mistresses…and she’s bored.

James is a committed Dom who enjoys nothing more than a bratty sub he can “punish” until they’re both satisfied. The last thing he wants is a serious submissive.

Beth is on the verge of leaving the club when she’s paired with Master James as part of the BDSM checklist game. They’re both surprised to find that the hyper-obedient Beth is hiding the true depth of her submission, and James will have to decide if he’s willing to break his own rules to give Beth what she needs.

C is for... (BDSM Checklist, #3) Reviews

Review in progress. Can't right now. is finished! Lazy kitty is was asleep on me, is now growling at a squirrel in the yard.

After being impressed by the first two installments in this series, my expectations for book three were raised. What secrets and surprises would the letter C have in store? It's like naughty Sesame Street, I love it.

C isn't for cookie this time.

So C is for... brings us James and Beth, two more kinksters at Las Palmas. James is struggling with commitment issues - he's a well written character, but not a particularly interesting one.

Then there's Beth, who is 1000% more interesting. She first got into BDSM as a coping mechanism. She understands rules and structure, and hopes by obeying she can find a place to belong, somewhere to understand and be fulfilled. So far that hasn't happened.

Let's see what happens when we throw these two crazy kids together, shall we?

    As in
A is for..., the banter and chemistry between the characters is charming, and a delight to read. There is genuine respect and caring, but also a lot of humor and self awareness.

He stripped the shirt off and held it up so she could slip into it.
Beth looked at the shirt, then at him. “You’re giving me clothes.” She eyed the shirt with trepidation.
Exasperated he said, “You’re not a house elf. It’s not going to free you.”

Book 1 is still available as a
freebie, but so far, all of them have been worth real money! A very fun series indeed.

The letter C was an interesting one,a challenge for the Master and his sub.
Where it is clear, yet again, that communication is key in BDSM.
With an as much of an happy after these two can get.....

Beth is tired of being used as furniture.
She decided she is going to quit the club when her Mistress leaves.
Until she’s selected for the letter C,and gets two surprises.
One,her Mistress is leaving that very day,and uncollars her, leaving her without any real regret.
Two,she is paired with James, the Master she secretly longed to be topped by.

James always thought Beth was a serving sub,one that didn’t need more than that to be satisfied.
But to his surprise, she turns out to be a very sexually frustrated one.
One that comes often and easy, and loving it.
Talking about her needs is difficult though, and he plans to change that, starting right now.

Their time together is well spent, and both open up towards the other.
But is their connection deep enough?
With Beth’s mental condition, and James’ reluctance towards commitment?
A real challenge that played out beautifully, one that i enjoyed, very much!

As usual, this book is hot!!!! James knows his subs. When he finds himself playing the game, he is given a sub that everyone thinks is one way, but he quickly finds out that is not the case.

Beth needs rules. The whole reason she entered the lifestyle was because of its rules. She knows what to expect and what is expected of her. When the club starts the game, she is given C. She already knows what aspects will be coming in the weekend, however, there is a catch..... Of course I am not going to you how or what it is.

Yes James and her are paired. There is more to the story but, read the book to find out what that is. Through the game, Beth learns that rules can change and not written in stone. James learns to open up himself again to a relationship.

I love this series. It is hot and speaks to my inner sub.

Beth is a submissive, who can't find her place. She loves being a submissive, loves the rules, the structure. But what she isn't finding is satisfaction in submitting. She has been put into a role that doesn't fulfill her, and isn't sure she can break out of it. So she finds herself planning to leave it behind. Until the game.

Master James is a "sub whisperer". He knows what they need, even when they don't. When he is given Beth to dominate in the checklist game, he has his work cut out for him. She sees things one way, and he need to open her eyes to the truth.

Beth and James are....interesting. She isn't your everyday submissive, and he is a unique Dom. The chemistry between the two are explosive. This story tells another side of the checklist game, and I enjoyed their journey!

    C is for - 4 Stars!

James and Beth’s story was entrancing. I absolutely loved their chemistry. The BDSM Checklist just keeps getting better, so I cannot wait to see what D brings

This is the third in what I assume will be twenty-six entries in a series set in Las Palmas Oscuras, one of those fantasy BDSM clubs popular in this genre. (I say "assume" because I'm not entirely sure what kinks begin with "Z," but we'll see.) The series' central conceit offers us a dom and sub who participate in kink scenes that begin with the letter they've been assigned ("A," for example, includes "Anal Play"). From what I can tell, each is a stand-alone featuring a single couple (some long-standing, others not) that is long on erotica and short on story. In fact, I would call these "novellas," rather than "novels" since much of the total page space is taken up with ads for Ms. DuBois' other books.

Like the couple in the last book, Beth and James have never played together before and have completely opposite approaches to BDSM: she needs the rules and high protocol; he is much more relaxed and go-with-the-flow. Thus far, they are my favorite couple since their complementary differences mean that the pair turn out to be good for one another, both sexually and emotionally. In addition, because they discuss subjects other than sex, it's easy to imagine them connecting "vanilla-wise," too.

In terms of prose, the kink scenes are inventive, well-described and varied; the characters exhibit some emotional growth; transitions between chapters are sometimes abrupt; the ending is more HFN; and James' backstory made little sense.

4 stars. I appreciated the author's offering us a character with a neurodevelopmental disorder. I do hope that the rest of the series won't feature characters of color solely in secondary roles.

I liked James and Beth, even though at first I thought I wouldn't. Beth seemed too passive and James not Dom enough for me but this book won me over. Another good read with hot and steamy sex scenes, enough emotional content and good characterisation to make this work. My only complaint is that again it ends at 84 % or so and I feel short changes with all the advertising and excerpts at the back of the book. I guess they do it because it works but it is really irritating to me.
However I will be buying the next one in the series.

Book Review: Checklist ABC... A Billionaire Club Box Set
    Author: L DuBois
    FIVE STARS
If this book doesn't make you hot then I don't know what will. The D/s scene is something that is really an area that I am not familiar with but I love reading it. The trust it requires to be able to give yourself over completely to your D.
The whole purpose to this series is this. Las Palmas Oscuras or The Dark Palms is an exclusive and secretive BDSM Club where only the richest of the rich can afford to be members. Now the head Masters and Mistresses of the resort have decided that things have become to lazy and stupid in complacency.
They want things to get back on edge and push everyone to their limits. So they have this list. If the members to not want to play this game they are free to leave and give up their place in the club. The game is simply this. There is a letter and under each letter are the different things that are listed that start with that letter that is part of the BDSM world. A couple or a D/s will be assigned a letter and they are to do everything on that list that they have said they are willing to participate in.
A is for.... We meet Anna and Master Jensen.
B is for..... We meet Mae and Master Xavier.
C is for ..... We meet Beth and Master James
All equally HOT and Sexual. All so worth the read. I will be picking up the rest of these books.

Beth is an obedient, well-behaved sub, and is completely bored to death. James is chosen for her under the C checklist: and although they don't really know each other well, they are given 48 hours to try everything :)

It's a clever little story because James becomes aware that Beth isn't really enjoying herself with what she choses to enjoy - or not. He does eventually explain himself, and in turn, has to recount why he won't 'collar' any one. Nicely done.

    Excellent characters!

This story continues along the path of the previous one, regarding the use of BDSM to uncover things you didn't think existed within yourself. I loved how he quickly understood the huge gap she had in her experience as a submissive. Once he took it upon himself to change her ideas, their connection exploded! It's amazing how quickly people can find chemistry together when they look deeper inside each other. Excellent characters! Great story!

Another well crafted checklist book. I am so glad that James (who seems to be the most understanding Dom we have met so far) was paired with Beth (I really wanted to smack Madame Cat for her treatment of Beth). Granted that once again the scenes are scorching hot, but the story behind the characters is what keeps bringing me back to this series and I can't wait until the next.

I have been searching for a good - and I mean GOOD - BDSM novel ever since I finished reading Cherise Sinclair's Shadowlands series... Finally, I found this gem of a book. Well done Ms Dubois, this book has been incredibly. I can't wait to read the rest of the books in the series, and I really hope that we get to go through all the alphabet 😊

  • Katherine

Ms DuBois manages to take two beautifully broken characters and create an erotic novel that leaves your body mind and soul happily satisfied.

This series not only captures the essence of BDSM, but also the essence of what it is to be true to yourself and understand your own personal kinks. If you haven't read the rest of this wonderful series you really, really need too.

James and Beth's story tugged a lot of emotion in me and I found myself sucked into their world and loving every minute of it.
With every installment in The BDSM Checklist series I get more and more sucked in to each of the stories and their characters.

  • Lieve

    Delightful book .
Crossing things of the BDSM checklist is fun . C is another fantastic letter in the list and though this story's better than the previous ones , I hated the abrupt ending .

  • Elizabeth

I absolutely love this book... so many amazing things fall under the letter C that intrigue me.... well except for chores lol. I did enough of that at home without no fun James behind me 😉

  • Maxine Taylor

I liked this book but the ending was extremely abrupt and felt unresolved/unfinished and as a result it took away from my enjoyment of the story overall.

  • Micki_1989

    Lol

Sorry for laughing but the end of this book actually made me giggle with what he said to her. Very well written I can almost feel the tension leaving her slowly.

  • sam

this was cute but I wanted to see more of their story outside of the club

  • I_ambooked

We all know I started this series with this book instead of book 1 like a normal person.

C is for cages. Disturbing, and definitely not my kink. Thank goodness. I like birds to be free.

  • SpicyBookBabe

Beth was an amazing character and I loved her story! This series is fantastic for anyone that likes to read Bdsm spice with a sprinkling of the feels. The dynamic between the main characters was lovely and, while the story wrapped up in a satisfying way, I would love seeing more!

I discovered the BDSM Checklist series by L Dubois when a friend recommended them. I am so glad that I found this series and this author because they are fantastic. The newest release is C is for . . . and it is just as wonderful as the first two in the series.

Don’t be confused by the title of the series, these books are really stories about intriguing characters going through an emotional journey and their connection just happens to be through BDSM. When the owners of the BDSM club, Las Palmas, believe that the Doms and subs have become too complacent, they devise a game to shake everything up. The game pairs off couples and assigns them a letter. The couple then must work through a checklist of BDSM activities associated with their assigned letter.

The pairing this time is Beth and James. Beth is convinced she knows how to be the perfect sub. She’s quiet, obedient and doesn’t ask for anything from her Dom. However, she is left completely unsatisfied and is considering leaving the club and the lifestyle. James isn’t looking for a serious sub and while he’s seen Beth around the club, he doesn’t believe she’s the right type of sub for him. However, when the two are paired together, James begins to see a different side of Beth and he finds himself intrigued. Maybe these two are a perfect pairing.

I absolutely loved the character of Beth because she was different and unique. Her quirks and foibles were something new and interesting and I applaud Ms. Dubois for creating such a fascinating heroine. James was a bit mysterious which added to his appeal. I admired how he handled Beth and brought her true submissive forward.

Ms. Dubois’ writing is so enjoyable and appealing. Everything flows so easily and naturally that it’s easy to lose yourself in the story. I am so glad that there are many more letters because I am excited to keep reading this series.

"just have to do this the old fashioned way" - loved that line in the book, but then again, I loved the book!

I had completely forgot about James in "B" but when it was mentioned, I remembered how sweet he is and am so happy he got his own story. And poor Beth, she really does fit into the background. So glad someone like James has come along for her, even if he had his ahole moment

Short, sweet, harsh and heartbreaking, but with lots of snuggly time. You can pickup only this story, but they all have their moments, so check out A & B, they all have a bit of a twist, and the twists are truly sweet

    Looking forward to "D"!
