I downloaded this from Story Cartel, in exchange for a review, because the idea of poetry and paintings together intrigued me. I kept putting off reading the poetry - I had already looked at the gorgeous paintings right away - but last night I thought I better uphold my end of the bargain. And wow, was I pleasantly surprised! The poetry is very accessible and invokes powerful imagery. The subject matter is vast. I read quite a few poems last night, but will go back and read each poem as it is meant to be read, by itself, with an open heart to the experience. Magical.
