3/5 "On A Spiritual Plain" by Lou Antonelli
A chaplain on a distant outpost is confronted with the ghost of a serviceman killed in an accident. The planet's peculiar electromagnetism captures the soul or the after image of a soul. The native species of the planet have a pilgrimage to release the souls of the departed and invite the chaplain and ghost to journey with them.
This is a gentle and respectful tale of dealing with the unknown with sensitivity and alien cooperation. -
