May Pang worked for John Lennon and Yoko Ono during the 1970s. She was encouraged by Yoko to travel with Lennon to California while Ono and Lennon separated. She was essentially told by Yoko to become Lennon's mistress. Pang resisted at first but eventually fell in love with Lennon. Pang portrays Lennon as a child-like, anxious, sensitive and dependent man who was manipulated by puppetmaster Yoko. Obviously a subjective work, Pang reinforces the disdainful view most of the public has taken toward Yoko Ono. According to Pang, her affair with Lennon lasted from the early 70s until shortly before December 8, 1980, the day Lennon was murdered. This memoir is a fascinating look inside the private life of a rock legend.
