Man Crafts: 10 Free Patterns to Crochet for Men
This book starts out with other free ebooks and a note from the editors.
Table of contents where each pattern has it's own chapter.
Each pattern starts with a title, designer name and link to site, summary of the item.
Color photo and equipment needed to make the item, yarn weight and measurements and materials and notes. Abbreviations are also noted and instruction.
What I like about his book are the different weights to use for the items to make.
Very useful items: hats, scarves, mittens, afghans, etc.

There are some really neat looking patterns in this book that I might like to try some day.

So mostly I liked the book but a crochet baseball cap seems a bit too much. Plus it basically should read that do everything you do for a woman but in masculine colours. I really hoped this would give me some new and exciting ideas.

Dont get me wrong, these patters aint bad. I am saving my copy to my craft collection but I was hoping for more.

    Serio!usly underwhelmed

I was expecting a bit more from this book, so was a bit let down by there only being one jumper, which I had already made. There are not enough good crochet patterns for men out there.

Very simple but cute little book, and its FREE!

I really liked the afghans and the sweater pattern. They look beautiful, and are honestly very helpful to have in a convenient little kindle book.

    Great idea book

Great idea book to make for the men in your family or friends it hard to make something for a man since a lot of crochet is for women, babies, or stuffed toys. I love this book

  • Elizabeth Benham

    Great patterns

Most of these patterns are great for young ones to make. I recommend this book for others to make for that Guy in their life.

  • Christine Hensley

    Not unuseful

My husband was actually interested in some ideas haha. I think some are silly, though. Overall, a decent selection of ideas.

  • Meghan Fasnacht

    Fun new patterns

Some fun easy patterns I cannot wait to try out for my son and husband. I also really liked that some had picture patterns as well as written patterns.

  • Maria

A good book. Patterns were easy to follow.

    Great book of easy patterns

I got this book to make my sons some gifts.
The patterns are fairly simple and easy to follow.
I can't wait for them to open their presents.!

    Meh

Some of the patterns are SO simple and basic and just done in "masculine" colors, to the point that I feel they shouldn't have been included. Like the little man scarf or the masculine afghan, for example, could've been replaced with a pattern for a sweater vest or a hunting type hat. But mostly, there were not enough pictures. I like having the pictures to compare my progress to the pattern but there were no progress pictures or even pattern diagrams to compare to. I feel this would've made it much easier to read and follow. The other patterns are great and I can't wait to make something for my husband!

As any crafter knows, the majority of crafters share a double X chromosome, and the struggle to find anything that the Y chromosome likes is few and far between. So any help is welcome help!!! Give this mag a whirl...!

    Eh...

Beard beanie is cool, but has probably seen its peak on the fame meter. But a dickey? Really? Was that ever cool?

    Okay for beginners

Super simple patterns that are free on the web already, but it is nice to have them together on my kindle.

  • crystal

I thought it was a great book

It helps to guide you through the process of each project, like what hook you have to use on each project

  • Barbie

    It's ok

This book is just ok. I would recommend this to beginners. The hat and sweater look promising. The stitches are all pretty basic though.

  • Judy Ullmann

    Not awful

Geared for beginner. A couple nice patterns --mittens, sweater...I wanted more complex designs. Not bad for a free book. Not many patterns.
