A sequel to the classic Conan the Barbarian story "Red Nails".
Conan and Valeria are resting on their trek through the Kush jungle, hoping to make it to the coast. Having survived the dragons and the ruins of Xuchotl they are wary of dangers and heed the warnings of giant Ape Men who live in the region of Xupolmec.
Valeria believes the stories to be exaggerated, but Conan has encountered large ape men before and knows full well the damage that can be wrought by these ferocious beasts.
Note: This story is an adaptation of Robert E. Howard's original 1925 story "Spear and Fang", but the story has been changed dramatically.
