  Not for Beginners
  
  I got this book hoping it would teach me how to crochet. Instead I was created with a collection of patterns that while pretty were written in typical crochet pattern language which as a beginner is complete gibberish. I was hoping for step by step pictures guiding me through the process of how to crochet each pattern. Instead it was a collection of granny square patterns written in a way that I cannot understand. It might be a book of beautiful and easy patterns but it is not a how to crochet book.

  Great little book. The directions were accompanied by pictures of the finished squares. I know it's a little strange that I'm going about there being pics, but wait until you grab that book with the interesting front cover and realize that there's no pic. Let's see you laugh then...LOL. But seriously it's kind of a rarity. There are pics of some of the trickier instructions, as well. Which once again I will mention is a blessing. Loved it.

  A great group of patterns by more crocheters I am already familiar with. I've been wanting to expand my granny square knowledge and this is a good fit. The blooming violet is especially beautiful! Some of the images could stand to be bigger.

  All the pattens look amazing however, it was not aa beginner friendly as I hoped. I am a more visual learner and there was not a lot of beginning images.
