For Katie, cooking isn't just about the food. It’s about the whole the atmosphere, the stories that each ingredient tells, and, of course, the people who share the meal. Katie’s vision of a complete entertaining experience continues with Endless Summer Cookbook —where the cooking reflects the distinctive flavors of her home in the Hamptons.
From photography to design to the recipes themselves, Endless Summer Cookbook evokes the delicious flavors of the best season of the cook’s year. Included are salad Niçoise, peach blueberry cobbler, figs wrapped in prosciutto, a pizza thrown onto the grill, steak tacos served with avocado and fresh cilantro, and much, much more. Katie also offers ideas for wine pairing and easy entertaining. Endless Summer Cookbook —with its stunning photography and fresh, easy recipes—brings to mind the ultimate summer fantasy of lazy, luxurious days at the beach.
Endless Summer Cookbook Reviews
-
There are several delicious looking summer recipes in this book-a keeper!
-
A few good recipes. Pretty basic. Katie sure is photogenic. Reminds me of young Ali McGraw from moons again.
-
This is a good cookbook overall! There were some recipes that don't have everything made from scratch and use premade stuff from the grocery store. While the ideas are still good, I wish that it was based more from scratch. I'll definitely be using some of these recipes though!
-
This is a great cookbook if you’re looking for fun summer snacks and meals. There are a few refreshing cocktail recipes as well that I can’t wait to try. I would have given it 5 stars but not every recipe had a photo. Also, these recipes are not groundbreaking but simple and fun.
-
Lots of recipes with box mixes, store bought donuts, package of Naan bread, etc. Other than that, lots of burgers, hot dogs, potatoe salad..typical summer foods. Nothing new or interesting in this book. Glad I only spent $3 on it.

This cookbook screams summer from the delicious, easy, light recipes to the beautiful photos of the ripe fruits and vegetables. I can't wait to go to the Farmer's Market and start cooking!
-
Katie Lee always has great recipes. The recipes are easy as well as delicious. -
How could I NOT like this book? Such fun summer time pics of picnics, fruit, surfing, not enough pics of food, but it's okay. Some of the recipes I'm most excited about are Nectarine and Cream Cheese French Toast Sandwiches, Lobster Reubens, Bourbon Bacon Slaw, Green Goddess Corn on the Cob, and Watermelon-Rum Punch. Yes please!
-
Love her writing style, and, I like her recipes a lot! A great cookbook for summer with the right amount of healthy options and a few great treats.
-
Beautiful pictures, stories, and some yummy recipes, but not as "healthy" as I want to eat.
-
Easy to follow recipes, some unique meal ideas. I also appreciate the pictures as sometimes I’m not sure what the meal I am making is supposed to look like or how to plate it for maximum appeal.
-
I like this cookbook. I think Katie Lee takes the best of what is summertime county and finds really yummy things to do with them. I particularly liked the sides section.
-
I checked this book out of the library - and after realizing I wanted to make at least 13 recipes out of the book - I should just buy the book!
-
More like 3.5. Biggest downfall for me was lack of pictures of recipes. I’m definitely a visual person when it comes to choosing foods I want to try and recreate.

The library had a lot of new cookbooks, I was pretty hungry at the time so I brought a stack home to browse through. This was by far the weakest of the bunch-- grilled doughnuts with melted Nutella anyone? If that's not enough to make your teeth hurt, how about strawberry brownie cake in which 2 boxes of brownie mix is the first ingredient. Of course, there are plenty of healthy recipes too-- chilled beet soup with yogurt and pepitas, hanger steak with jalapeño butter and lemon mint baby Zucchini all sound delish.
I admit that I'm turned off by cookbooks that are full of pictures of the celebrity chef. This one had 13 photos of the lovely Katie Lee before you get to the first recipe on page 22. I've never heard of her, maybe if you're a fan you'll enjoy all the photos. Rather then buying this one, I recommend that you check it out from your library.
I did copy one super easy recipe for those times I have gluten-averse friends over for breakfast:
Blender Pancakes
1 cup(240ml) cottage cheese or greek yogurt
2 large eggs
1 cup (80g) rolled oats
I'll also be adding lemon or orange zest and a dash of salt
Blend together until smooth and pour batter onto buttered (she uses nonstick cooking spray) griddle and cook. Easy-peasy! -
This is a pretty cookbook that highlights all the great food that you would associate with summer. There were definitely a few recipes I'd like to try, but overall it didn't blow me away. The photographs are very pretty, but I could do with less pictures of the author in a bikini.
-
Not enough pictures for me...not much new or exciting either.
-
Not as good as her first cookbook.
-
Notes:
I loved her Comfort Table book but there just wasn't much in this one for me
