George Muller My Journal Reviews
-
A sweet booklet of excerpts from George Muller's diary compiled by HeartCry Missionary Society, and sent by Chapel Library. It was interesting to read of Muller's life before conversion, and his doubts afterward, of waiting on the Lord's provision despite many faithful instances. Recommended
Chapel Library offers free literature up to $20/month (you pay above that) and possesses a wide library of credible materials for Christians.

PS I did not read the kindle edition, I read the hard copy available for free at Chapel Library via postal mail -
What was so amazing about this book was seeing the transformation of George Mueller. Preconversion he was a lover of money, greedy, a thief, a liar. After his conversion George Mueller was fully dependent upon the Lord to provide for his every need, he poured himself out for the orphans that he served, steadfast in prayer and confident that the Lord would answer his prayers.

How amazing to read actual accounts from the journal of George Muller! The book was small but so very informative, as Mr. Muller tells of his own life, from his rebellious youth to his life of greatness as he submitted to God's purposes, which in turn positively and eternally affected many people in his lifetime and even today. Wherever you are in your walk with God (and what could be more important?) the book can show you the way to step out of a dissolute life and instead become a person God can use in great ways. You'll be wanting to read more about his man... and His God!!

Excerpts from George Muller's journal
This was very interesting and an encouragement to pray but to understand about George Muller I think you need to read a longer version. -
An Inspiring Read about a Man of Faith
I’ve always been fascinated by the faith of George Muller, so when I came across this book, I couldn’t wait to dive in. I wasn’t disappointed. What an inspiration to read about Muller’s fervency in prayer and temptations to doubt despite how many times God had come through. It reminds us that even though he was a great man of faith, he was human and subject to lose heart just as we are. His personal words of testimony were such a blessing, and I walked away from this read with a renewed passion for prayer and a greater desire to trust in God for all things. -
An introduction to the work of a great man ...
...though I believe this little bookshelf could be strengthened greatly by including a little more background to who George Muller was. I was already familiar with his work and story, but if I had not been, I would not have benefited very much from reading this. If you do not know about George Muller, you would be better off reading a brief biography, even one found on the Internet, before reading this. Once you know something about him, this book will make much more sense. -
He relied on God totally for himself and his orphans
This short little book was good. It talked a lot about how God provided constantly for George Mueller and his work of serving orphans. My only complaint would be that it follows the same pattern throughout the whole book on what was given. It became a little redundant. -
Actually more like two narratives. The first: a very candid story of Muller's youth and conversion... which was quite surprising to me. The second: remarkable stories of trusting faith and provision during Muller's ministry. I had long heard of Muller; this brief collection from his journal is an easy and worthwhile read.

A precious little book that left me longing for Muller’s steadfast, unwavering, childlike faith. I cannot recommend it highly enough

What a man of faith and prayer!

A very short, yet powerful read about how God answers prayers. George Muller’s faith has sharpened my own through his writings. The Lord provides for his children.

This is a great short piece written by George Muller about his walk of faith in the area of provision. Though I don't agree with all of his beliefs, his life and work with orphans is a great example of faith in a loving God. A very encouraging work. I give it 4 stars. I can recommend for any age.
