my 7 yr old daughter loved this

  • Prabhjot Kaur

Raina is fourteen years old and she has a younger sister, Amara, and a younger brother, Will. Her mum is planning a road trip to Colorado from California with Raina and Raina's siblings. Both Raina and Amara aren't thrilled to be in the car with each other as they constantly fight. They may be sisters but not much is common between them except for their art and drawing.

This was fun and cute. Although the story was quite predictable, I nonetheless loved Raina and Amara's bickering. I loved that they are quite different yet the same. But most of all, I enjoyed Raina Telgemeier's art. It is cheerful, uplifting with subtle colors and displays stunning backdrop scenery from California to Colorado. A good follow-up to Smile.

    That's so not true

Being a younger sister myself I believe this comic was written by an elder sibling. Younger sibling don't always keep crying.

Well one point which was correctly showed was elder sibling not sharing their stuff with younger siblings.

Anyways it was funny. I found it very relatable since I have an elder sister. And the comic was like 'SO WE'.

I have read this book many times and I never get tired of reading it over again. I think I enjoyed this book most because it has a good moral for all Pre-teens. Of course the book is about two sisters and their relationship, this I find entertaining.

I really like this book! I've read it over many times and I read it everyday I can! I love all of Raina's book even Smile! Smile is my favorite!!!

At first I didn’t think I would enjoy this book since I don’t have a sister. But I forgot how amazing this authors books are. You don’t have to have a sister or sibling to enjoy this book. I love it and I can’t wait to read the rest of her books that I have bought.

A very hilarious memoir I've ever read!

This graphic memoir talks about the author (Raina) and her sister's (Amara) relationship which they have very different traits, preferences and interests. The book mainly shows their summer trip to Colorado for a family reunion with their cousins from their home at San Francisco. During the trip, there are more drama when the duo had conflicts and there'll be flashbacks of scenes happened in the past too.

If you have a younger sister/brother, you most probably have the same problem as Raina. But when time goes and you grow up with your younger siblings, you'll start to appreciate their presence and love being with them around.

Great book about relationships between siblings. Read Smile before Sisters. It'll make more sense.

    Beauty in disguise. Great book.

This excerpt shows a beautiful relationship between two cute sisters and their sweet and sour funky relationship. It made me laugh and sigh. This book made me feel so sad that I don't have a sibling. Definitely buying this book no matter how expensive it is.
