  The story turns out to be not so much intelligent as complex. There are so many details it's difficult to keep track of them. And it's a much slower read than I would have preferred, with events that don't flow naturally from one to the next. They make sense, but there is too much focus on ethics and phylosophical mumbo-jumbo.
  
  Marube offers Tachi the chance to find Rika's fiancee. Rika is the woman who is believed to have killed her mother in the clock tower. Her fiancee has a clear picture of Rika that can be used to identify her body - she was found dead after being seen at the clock tower. Tachi must find Rika's fiancee Honjou Shirou in one week to earn 100,000 yen or be fired. Marube's daughter adds more suspense when she advises Tachi to not give Marube the photo. She is interrupted before she can say more, but later he finds that Marube allegedly destroyed evidence from the previous clock tower murder.
  
  While on the Honjou family estate, Tatsu gets attacked by a masked man. Taichi is captured by members of a plot to gain the Honjou family fortune. Tetsuo is joined by a policeman who is secretly following Taichi, the main suspect in Hanazono's murder. A gruesome familily tradition is revealed - in the Honjou family, the death of the head of the family is soon followed by the death of his wife, even if the wife doesn't agree to it. Murder, basically. It turns out that Shirou killed her own husband and the family was protecting her, so off she goes to jail.
  
  Their next lead is prof. Tesla who manages to drug them. He wants some of Tachi's internal organs, but also offers them the option to bring a replacement. They consider a man who killed someone years before, but was never convicted.

  Bagaimana mungkin di abad ke-21, dengan segala kemajuan teknologi dan besarnya pengaruh akulturasi, masih ada saja tradisi yang begitu aneh dan mengerikan? Padahal tradisi yang mirip seperti itu di India sudah dihapuskan saat negara itu masih menjadi koloni Inggris. Nah, tidak semua hal buruk muncul dari penjajahan bangsa asing, bukan?   nicht mehr ganz so gut wie der erste Band, aber der war auch kaum zu toppen. Trotzdem hoffe ich, dass der nächste Band wieder besser wird, obwohl immer noch krank geilo xD
