And the girls are back home! Their adventures around the world ended, so it's time to get back to their normal lives and think about what will they make out of their future. 'Deliver us to Dublin...With Care' is the last installment and definitely one I'd enjoyed the most. It's actually everything I hoped for when I started reading this series.
There's some drama again but also a great closure and I wouldn't change a thing about this part (except making it longer...yes, the length of the novella is still my main problem). Ms Duffy proved to me she can write serious stuff too, and yet the read can stay enjoyable and fun. The e-mail correspondence was definitely a nice touch and made me feel the characters more than in the previous parts. They seem more like 'real friends', who genuinely care for each other, rather than just party pals. It was really hard for me to get these vibes from them in the previous part where all they seemed to be doing was clubbing or party crashing.
Honestly, this novella was such a delightful surprise and it's definitely one I enjoyed most from this series. It had some drama, some humor and fantastic ending. I absolutely loved how things turn out for the girls and Zack and applaud to Ms Duffy for giving the story such a great closure. -
I have truly loved this series, what a perfect summer read although id enjoy it anytime of the year. Its hot, fun, and has all the ingredients to make it one of my favourite chick lits.
Its easy to read and just flows wonderfully, I actually felt a connection to each character which shows the talent of the author.
One tip just download them all because it saves you from searching when your left wanting to know what next...... -
I am seriously gutted to have reached the end of this fantastic series. They have been the perfect tonic over the past few weeks which have been full of rain. I also haven't been on holiday this year yet feel like I've been to LA and Florence by way of Miami, Paris and Greece. If you haven't yet read the previous books, starting with Trouble in Tinseltown then close this page, fire up your Kindle and enjoy... I can't recommended the series enough yet it's almost impossible to discuss this final book without giving plot details away.
Ciara's holiday is over and she is brought back down to Earth with a bang. After the dramatic events of Flirting in Florence she is even more unhappy than she has been in the previous books but is attempting to find a way to muddle through. With the girls being in different parts of the world the format changes slightly and we see correspondence between the three in the form of emails. I found that this worked quite well given that it would be unrealistic to force the three of them together in Dublin given the events of the previous books! I find also that people are a lot more open and willing to talk honestly in the written form rather than face to face and that was definitely the case here.
Elle annoyed me massively in the previous book, in fact throughout the series she's just come across as a spoilt know it all yet she definitely redeemed herself here. The previous books have increased the tension and excitement at getting to Dublin and without giving too much away it wasn't a disappointment. I was 99% sure of how the series would conclude but there's definitely a few shocks and surprises in the book before we reach the end.
To me reading this book was like the final night of a holiday, you wish there was some way to make it longer, you are devastated when it's over but ultimately full of happy memories at the fun you've had. I've absolutely loved this series of shorts and if I had my way they would have went on for longer... Aimée's bio at the end of the book says that when she was younger the one thing she loved about reading was how stories can touch you so deeply and how she wants to do this for her readers. I can say that she definitely has achieved that here, I've lived every moment throughout these books and loved them all. I'm just gutted it's over.
Thanks to Aimée for the review copy. -

Deliver Us to Dublin… With Care is the final instalment in what has been a brilliant summer series by Aimee Duffy. We’ve been brought plenty of laughs, romance and drama and in Dublin, after the fascinating way Flirting in Florence ended, there was a lot to be wrapped up. Having been with Ciara, Elle and Gem on their whole road trip journey, I really feel like I’ll miss the characters but I thought the culmination to the series did their stories justice.
This novella is written in a slightly different format to the previous six, with quite a lot of it being set in emails between the girls. I enjoyed the change in style but would have preferred a little less of the emails and more things actually unfolding in the story. There was a moment where I thought things fell a little flat because we were being told a series of things happening without much chance for a reaction. I did really like how the emails gave us a different insight into the characters emotions though and seeing Aimee still building Ciara, Elle and Gem’s personalities even in the final part of the series was really interesting to read.
The main focus in this book was on Ciara. Back in Dublin, I was intrigued by how things were going to turn out for her and whether she’d get any of the life she hoped for – her friendships and future had been a big talking point throughout the series and of course, I wanted to see if she got her HEA too! It wasn’t the all too typical predictable finish to a series – there were one or two things which took me by surprise and Aimee excels again in her character development and just great writing. I’m sad to see the series end but looking forward to more from this author who definitely has a new fan in me :)

I cannot tell you how much I have been anticipating this final installment in the summer flings series. I couldnt wait to get stuck in and see how it all ends. But at the same time I felt reluctant to read it and finish their journey.
I am not going to say too much about the storyline as I really dont want to ruin it. But, what I did like, was that it didnt just look at what happened next for Ciara and Zack and the whole, will they live happily ever after or not. Us readers get to find out what happens next for all the gang. Not all of it was how I expected at all.
As soon as I read Trouble in Tinseltown I knew I would love this series and I havent been disappointed. I have felt like a broken record as each novella has surpassed the previous one, but for me, it has just got better and better. I havent read any of Aimee's work before and have loved her style of writing. She has developed both the characters, and the storyline brilliantly. Each of the characters are quirky and at times annoying, but as a reader I have felt great warm towards them and would love to hang out and have fun with them.
I am quite sad that the summer is almost over and I will be leaving the characters behind. This installment does bring everything together really well, but I would love a full length book featuring them in the future as I can imagine there may be many more exploits and lots of fun still to be had.
If you havent yet read the summer flings series I would recommend them. A snappy, fast paced series full of sun, fun and sexiness (and some sassiness too). -

I'm going to miss reading one (or maybe two) of these daily. They have been a perfect way to relax in the evening and I'm sad this is the last one.
I was curious about how Aimee would keep all the characters present as the girls have reached the end of their holiday and Ciara is back in Ireland, but I was pleasantly surprised. I thought the emails distributed throughout the book were a nice touch and kept everyone together when they weren't in the same county. The girls' personalities also came across well via the messages.
As well as this, I'm so please I got the HEA I was looking for! Yay for Zack! It was great to read they were following what they wanted and I enjoyed their re-connection. There were also a few twists, which came as a surprise. I'm not totaly sure how to feel about the way it ended altogether: on one hand it was good and on the other I wanted more, but I'm glad it left me with a smile on my face.
Overall this series has been a joy to read and has kept me smiling throughout the evenings, even on a few hard days. I would highly recommend! -
A sweet closure to a wonderful series.
Deliver us to Dublin is an interesting ending to what has been a very clever and unique series. The author wraps up the conflict and resolves issues between Ciara, Zack, Gem and Ellie in a very sweet and different way, which suits the tone of the series perfectly.
I was so engrossed in the relationship between Ciara and Zack, that the significance of the relationship between the friends didn't seem so relevant until I read this final book. Suddenly all the emotion comes to the fore as their strong bond seems shattered. Ciara starts to deal with the issues in her life and slowly tries to repair their relationship in a very moving, if at times humorous, way. What started out as Summer fun for the girls ends up pitching all of their lives in very different directions. Of course we see Ciara pitch in the direction of Zack.
Very moving and a very individual ending. Though this book couldn't be read as a stand alone, I highly recommend this sweet and humorous series, which I hope will one day be available as a box set or paperback. In fact a Christmas Fling would be nice! -
That's the end of this super, fun-filled, interesting series! Series is about love, sex, friendship, fears, travel and family. I devoured each and every one in this series.
This was my favorite of the series. There were a few twist and turns. You should read the series to find out.:) The characters learned about themselves and each other. They grew in many ways. Enjoyed everyone in the series and would love to read more about them in the future. -
Well, that was just lovely.
The Summer Flings series has a finally come to a close in Dublin. Like the best romance stories, all things come together in the end. We know that Ciara is going to sort herself out and she resolves her issues with her friends. And let’s face it, we know she is going to get her man. All the ingredients to make you feel warm and fuzzy inside.
I do think that Aimee Duffy did miss and opportunity with the Summer Slings series by tying everything up with a neat little bow. She could have carried on by focusing on one of the other characters in the cast maybe by telling Elle’s story or indeed how Gem is going to deal with her major life changes.
All in all, the Summer Flings series really was enjoyable to read.

So I have come to the end if the series and I am gutted. Saying that, this final instalment was perfect! I thought it was wrapped up nicely and for me it was the best yet!
Throughout the series I feel I have grown along with Ciara and the girls. I have felt them mature through the books and reach adulthood.
This is by far the best of the seven books I think and what swung it for me was the emails to one another. I am a sucker for emails/ texts/ letters in a book. I embrace the writing style and feel that in today's society bring a bit of realism to stories. I loved reading the emails between the girls.
So in this part, the girls at back home in Dublin and need to grow up and get jobs. Things are still at breaking point between Elle and Ciara, Gem is playing piggy in the middle. Zach is long gone an Ciara can't seem to move on.
Eventually Ciara finds her way and is unsure if she welcomes a distraction ( I don't want to say too much to give it away!)
I thought the storyline concluded brilliantly. Aimee is a talent young writer to look out for in the future. I would love to read not by her and perhaps visit the girls for Christmas one year? I feel their is still so much that Duffy could develop with these characters and I would love to continue on their journey with them.
Although this part of the series is the same length of the others I feel so much was covered in it and it felt a lot longer due to this. To me that was great as I didn't want the series to end.
I recommend everyone to read this series of novellas, it has everything you could possibly want in a series.
I would like to thank Aimee for sending me this copy in exchange for an honest review. -
Well I didn't see that coming. I saw that and that (guaranteed spoiler free review) but the other thing sort of came out of left field. Sooo, okay.
This is where everything gets wrapped up for all three girls but of course it's Ciara's HEA we are all sweating on.
I mean to say, so many questions to answer. Will their friendships survive? Will we see any of the other hotties we met on our world tour? Will Zach forgive Ciara...? Will we find out what happened to her Ma...
Overall this was a good wrap up. As you would hope with a RomCom as we don't want any sad bits. The format of this last episode was a little different and at first it threw me a little. Overall the series is a light fun read and kept me interested right to the end. -
omg I couldn't be more happier about how it ended.
Ciara and Zack are just so cute and I'm so happy that they ended up together finally hehe
this series was so quick, fun and sexy. and a great way to pass the time. would recommend this series defiantly ☺ -
I've really enjoyed this series! Each instalment may be a bite-size, but together they made a very satisfying meal! I can see now that the 'flings' have been packaged together into one book - it should definitely be on your summer holiday reading list :)
-
It got better towards the end.

A lovely way to finish the series! Would definitely recommend these books!
