A SUGGESTION THAT UFO/OCCULT ACTIVITY IS LEADING TO THE ANTICHRIST
Author Timothy J. Dailey wrote in the Introduction to this 1995 book, “I write this book about an alarming spiritual deception abroad in our world. It is an account of demonic subterfuge of a previously unimaginable magnitude waiting to be unleashed on the planet… The plot thickens as we examine what appears to be the increasing intrusion of ‘spirit entities,’ both angelic and demonic, into our world… Behind all these strange phenomena is a subtle attempt by our spiritual adversary to condition our world for the acceptance of a new spiritual reality. When viewed in the light of the Bible, however, the innocuous-sounding New World Order bears an unmistakable resemblance to the final rebellion against God led by the Antichrist… The question… is this: Are we in the throes of that final otherworldly deception NOW?” (Pg. 10-11)
He notes, “Something indeed happened on the Munich-Salzburg autobahn in 1982, but it was not an angel of God that appeared---or disappeared. Could this ‘archangel Gabriel’ have been a demonic manifestation? It is a possibility worth considering, even though some in the Church think it is unspiritual to question reports of miraculous events, let alone suggest that the source might actually be demonic.” (Pg. 31)
He says of Betty Eadie’s Near-Death Experience, “Nor is a word spoken in Betty Eadie’s heaven about the event that makes reconciliation with God possible… In short, ‘Embraced By the Light’ appears to be something other than a visit to heaven. In fact, the word ‘heaven’ itself is never even used by Eadie to describe the place she visited.” (Pg. 41)
He points out, “The average citizen has little conception of the vast distances involved in space travel. According to modern physics, it is impossible for a physical object to exceed the speed of light… Even the speed of light, however, is not fast enough to get around the universe in any meaningful length of time… Suppose, for instance, that an interplanetary spacecraft decided to pay planet earth a social call. Would such a trip entail? In order to arrive in our atmosphere NOW, an interplanetary vehicle would have had to begin its journey literally millions of years ago…” (Pg. 54-55)
He notes, “there exists a startling connection between UFOs and poltergeist activity… Christians consider such activity to be the work of demonic spirits. How curious, then, that many of those involved in UFO close encounters are dogged by paranormal experiences?” (Pg. 66)
He argues, “There is little evidence… to support the idea that UFOs originate from distant planets… there is every reason to believe they are non-physical entities the inhabit another dimension parallel to our own. Furthermore, they give every indication of being hostile toward the human race. And their connection with occultism is unmistakable. In short, they are what the Bible calls the ‘rulers,’ the ‘authorities,’ and ‘the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.’… Whether false angel or UFO alien, the goal is the same: the transformation of consciousness. Men and women are being deceived into accepting a non-Christian worldview. And for what purpose? The way is being prepared for the ultimate appearance of the Antichrist.” (Pg. 78-79)
He suggests, “Significantly, the majority of close encounters with UFOs occur at night when the abductee is either asleep or functioning at a lower level of alertness… It is possible that some abduction experiences, particularly when the subject is awakened from sleep or experiences an OBE, may actually be the equivalent of a vivid dream or vision… Abductees usually insist that their experiences really happened. But their written transcripts and written accounts of abductions often seem disjointed and have an air of unreality… In the dream state our minds tend to have a narrow range of focus, so that on waking we remember certain details without the breadth of awareness we possess while awake.” (Pg. 89-90)
Dailey recounts his own story: “Thus was I compelled to begin my prolonged study of the subject. It led me first … to the reading of classic treatments such as Gary Allen’s ‘None Dare Call It Conspiracy’ and Nesta Webster’s ‘World Conspiracy,’ in which I found the general outlines of world conspiracy theory… A wealth of conspiracy literature was opened up to me, including monthly publications such as ‘American Opinion’ and ‘American Mercury.’ I learned about powerful, secretive organizations like the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission and the Bilderberg Society. They were said to be linked for the purpose of bringing about ‘New World Order.’ Books… [like] the now-discredited ‘Satan Seller’ buy Mike Warnke purported to reveal the devilish aspects of the alleged conspiracy… It was not difficult for me to become a true believer in conspiracy theories. After all, doesn’t the Bible teach that the Antichrist will come, and isn’t it at least possible that we are living in the last days?... What, then, turned sour? In my case, after extensive reading over a period of time, I gradually saw the inner contradictions of the conspiracy theories…” (Pg. 107-109)
He summarizes, “We have every reason … to expect the EXPANSION of the parameters of this deception being perpetuated on the human race. It may well be that one day we will see overt manifestations of UFO activity of a far greater magnitude than we have observed thus far… The belief system that will be challenged is, pure and simple, that of Christianity.” (Pg. 193)
This book may appeal to some Christians looking for alternative explanations of ‘UFO’ phenomena.
