Tessa and Hardin’s love was complicated before. Now it’s more confusing than ever. AFTER WE FELL...Life will never be the same. #HESSA
Just as Tessa makes the biggest decision of her life, everything changes. Revelations about first her family, and then Hardin’s, throw everything they knew before in doubt and makes their hard-won future together more difficult to claim.
Tessa’s life begins to come unglued. Nothing is what she thought it was. Not her friends. Not her family. The one person she should be able to rely on, Hardin, is furious when he discovers the massive secret she’s been keeping. And rather than being understanding, he turns to sabotage.
Tessa knows Hardin loves her and will do anything to protect her, but there’s a difference between loving someone and being able to have them in your life. This cycle of jealousy, unpredictable anger, and forgiveness is exhausting. She’s never felt so intensely for anyone, so exhilarated by someone’s kiss—but is the irrepressible heat between her and Hardin worth all the drama? Love used to be enough to hold them together. But if Tessa follows her heart now, will it be...the end?
After We Fell (After, #3) Reviews
-
This is a flipping adolescent version of Fifty Shades of Grey.
Except it's featuring Harry Styles.
Now that we've covered that, let's get going with this shit review.
So, how about we go through an overview of what the trilogy looked like to me:
Tessa (who has like three different names) is gorgeous, curvy, blonde, funny, innocent, and has all of the charming characteristics every female protagonist on Wattpad has. Oh, and she's also got them nice round titties, too. And, shocker: SHE'S NEVER BEEN HIT ON, DESIRED, HAD ANY SEXUAL EXPERIENCE, NOR FELT SEXUALLY AROUSED. LIKE, EVER. Enter Harry, the abusive, alcoholic, tattoo & piercing-obsessed asshole. He treats everyone like shit and he don't give a damn.
He makes a bet with his buddies on who can get Tessie in bed first, blah, blah, blah, Tess falls in love with him over some nice kid named Zach, blah, blah, blah, Theresa gives him her virginity and that's pretty much the first book. They buy themselves some place so that Tessa wouldn't find out about the bet, but guess what:
Harry feels desperate to make it up to Tessa, she says no. Then she has some passionate sex with him and, voila, everything is forgotten.
Lol bitch no.
"Problems" arise, sex, sex, sex, problems, alcohol, jealousy, sex, all is well, sex, problem, sex.
I swear, this is what I think goes through Tessa's head all day:
"NO HARRY WE ARE NEVER GETTING BACK TOGETHER..OMG DICK!!!"
And now I hear some bullshit about it being made into a movie or some fuckery like that.
shoot me. -
Like the first two books in the series, 'After We Fell' was completely consuming. Although the back and forth drama between Hardin and Tessa gets to be very irritating, I can't seem to turn away from it. It's like I'm stuck in an abusive relationship with this couple. I know it isn't healthy. I know I should remove myself from the situation...but I just can't do it. After all, maybe they'll change.
Picking up where 'After We Collided' left off, Tessa's father has reappeared in her life. Only, her father is not the man that she remembered from her childhood. He is homeless and has some serious addiction issues.
While Tessa wants to give her father a chance, Hardin cautions her against it. Hardin is an ass all of the time, but I really thought that he took it to a whole new level when her father was introduced. I couldn't believe how incredibly insensitive and cruel he was. Even though he was absolutely correct to be concerned, he responded in a manner that showed absolutely no regard for Tessa's feelings. I couldn't believe some of the things he said about her father to her. Of course, like always, Tessa gets over it like it was hardly a blip on her radar.
More than the first two books, Hardin's own issues with addiction were very apparent. Interestingly, the author seemed to avoid addressing this issue head on. I kept waiting for some sort of intervention, but it never really happened. I guess there was already enough drama in this story without tackling Hardin's drinking problem.
This book also features plenty of fighting, breaking up and making up between Hardin and Tessa. If you expected Hardin and Tessa to settle down and start acting like a mature, committed couple, prepare to be disappointed. 'After We Fell' is full of the same angst-filled cycle of jealousy, acting out and game playing that were in previous books. Betrayals are around every corner and there is no shortage of drama.
From disastrous family vacations, to secrets, there is plenty of deceit to go around. Zed is back on scene again, playing a big role in the tension between Hardin and Tessa. Of course, he is only involved because Tessa pulled him in again. Meanwhile, there are more revelations about Tessa's "friends". I swear, they never learn their lessons!
Like the first two books, this book ends with a huge upset. If I ever thought that I would have the strength to quit this dysfunctional couple, the ending sucked me right back in. I absolutely had to see where the next book would lead.
I love to hate, and hate to love, this series! It is like watching a bad train wreck in slow motion. You know it's going to be a disaster, but you just can't turn away.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2! After We Fell, book 3 of 5. The tumultuous against-all-odds romance between tatted rebel Hardin Scott & good girl Tessa Young!
“There is a big difference between not being able to live without someone and loving them.”
Books in The After series should be read in order:
Book 1:
After
Book 2:
After We Collided
Book 3:
After We Fell
Book 4:
After Ever Happy
Book 5:
Before
The After series is the epic love saga between flawed rebel bad boy student and editor Hardin Allen Scott and naïve good girl student and intern editor Theresa Lynn Young, Tessa.
In After, book 1-2, Tessa met her polar opposite in Hardin. An unlikely friendship blossomed into a dysfunctional and co-dependent relationship driven by their intense sexual connection.
After We Fell, book 3 is another chapter of Hardin and Tessa testing and pushing each other. Much stems from immaturity and unresolved issues from their pasts.
Will Tessa be able to stand up for herself and will Hardin learn to temper his volatile and self-sabotaging side? Or will their love succumb to meddling, jealousy, secrets and betrayal?
Nine words to describe Hardin Allen Scott: Unpredictable, moody, flawed, broken, aloof, secretive, demanding, conflicted and possessive.
Nine words to describe Theresa Lynn Young, Tessa: Organized, meek, compulsive, goal-oriented, determined, naïve, trusting, curious and forgiving.
After We Fell, told from dual POVs, is an all-consuming, addicting, at times angsty journey of self-discovery, testing boundaries, pushing limits and surrendering it all for love. It ends leading right to book 4,
After Ever Happy for the conclusion of their journey.
An all-consuming epic roooller-coooaster!

I wanted to write a full review on this book, but I dont think I can. I both loved and hated it. I will say that this is the book where I finally, finally got Hardin. I completely understood his character. Only took 2 and half books and over 2000 pages but I finally got him.
I'll just use direct quotes from our two leads to describe this book:
"You're always fucking sorry! It's always the same shit: you do something, hide something, say something, I cry, you say you're sorry, and bam! All is forgiven."
"I stomp down the stairs and throw myself on the couch like a temperamental child. That's what I am really, a fucking child. She knows it, I know it- hell everyone fucking knows it. I should just print that shit on a goddamn tshirt."
That's truly all you need to know. -
Caution: Rated R: for language and adult things
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This book was slightly better than the last one. I think because Tessa does finally grow a slight backbone. 🤔 Plus Hardin starts to try to do a bit better with his obsessiveness. 😐 This is still some hot garbage though. 🤫 Steamy and dirty and sexy and angsty garbage. 🤭
Just one more book to go and then I can say ‘bye bye bye’! 🤗 -
*3.5 stars*
Well, I wasn’t supposed to write a review on the third book of the series due to my highly negative reviews on the two previous books.
And here I am –again-, writing a review-again-, on the After series by Anna Todd –again. It is a vicious circle, just like Hardin’s and Tess’ relationship. Feel the irony?
I went into this one with very low expectation or to be completely truthful, I expected it to be as horrible as the previous books. And yet, I’ve decided to read it perhaps because I wanted to read something easy and frustrating at the same time, or perhaps, I’m a little bit crazy. Ok, ok, I’m a nut but that is a different story. But most importantly because it was a buddyread with my incredible friend
Maria who knows how to make you enjoy a book with her humor!
I won’t say that the pattern changed dramatically. The relationship between those two is completely dysfunctional and unhealthy. Hardin is still a possessive asshole. He’s completely egocentric, selfish with self-esteem issues. Plus Tessa is still an indecisive and a weak-willed woman who cannot stand for herself and become loyal to herself.
I had internal conversations throughout the story. Again.
Me: Screw Hardin, screw Zed, screw all of them. You are an independent, clever and beautiful woman. So, be that woman!
Todd: Earth calling…
Me: Who am I kidding?
Nevertheless, this book was so much better. It took me by surprise. There were two major plot twists that blew my mind away.
The first one was introduced in the first half of the book. It was completely unexpected, shocking and intimidating. I was screaming and cursing.
Out loud.
At work.
Yeah… that happened.
Even though this introduction had a great impact on my reading process, I was skeptical about the second half of the book due to the past unpleasant experiences. I’m glad to say that in total, it wasn’t a disappointment as I thought I would be. There are a lot of fighting, screaming, secrets and of course hot scenes. Very hot…
And then again, near to the end Todd gave me another one heart-attack with her cliffhanger and sucked me deeper in the story.
Undoubtedly, this woman knows how to keep the readers invested and make them finish her series. And yes, I’m gonna finish the series because I’m just like Tess who can’t keep her promises when it comes to books and shocking plot twists.
A small disclaimer:
I still believe that this kind of relationship is a toxic one. They both behave in unpredictable manners, just like psychopaths. I don’t really know how this could end. They just have to end up together or kill each other. There are only these two options.
What a cliffhanger! Don't you think so? -
This did not need to be this long
The cliff hangers in this series are the only reason I keep reading. The characters are definitely not my favorites and they’re so toxic. The ending of this one came out of nowhere and I was shook. Anyway can’t wait to be done with this series!
I have been reading this series for the first time as part of a YouTube review series I am doing. You can check out the video for this book here:
https://youtu.be/4cn0k6XlaX4 -
Even though this is really bad, I just want to know how it ends. These two should either go their separate ways or just ... I dont know, kill each other. I have never read about a relationship so toxic, disturbing and with no sense whatsoever, and characters so stupid or just plain psychotic.

Lo he dicho en mis reseñas de After y After: En Mil Pedazos.
I don’t know why I like it, but I do.
Anna Todd is the queen of the screaming cliffhanger. I have literally screamed out loud at the end of every book because I need to know the next scene. I don’t even want to wait as long as it will take me to write this review.
The romance between Hardin and Tessa was unbelievably rocky in the first two books, they spent more time fighting and breaking up than they did happy and together. But in this book, their relationship was on a more even keel, despite the fact that they lived in different cities for much of the book.
I can’t stop her; she was always meant to do things greater than me, be with someone better than me. I knew that from the start. I was just hoping that somehow I would be wrong, as always.
Also Hardin is really trying to grow up and get his temper under control. Though every now and then he still “sees red” and basically just doesn’t have control and fights and breaks stuff. So he either goes to the gym or focuses his mind on keeping calm when he knows he is about to blow. Which he warns Tessa not to push because he is about to lose it. She knows he would never hurt her, but is afraid that he will end up in jail for assault or property damage.
This book went deeper into Tessa’s family and Hardin’s background as a bad boy in England as well so that was good, plus the romance between the two was very steamy in this book, though it set up some issues for the future.

I thought this book was never going to end! It has way too many pages. I actually think that book 2 and 3 should merge and become one with half of the pages. There’s a limit for writing the same thing over and over again… The last half of this book was exhausting! It was the same thing over and over again and nothing happens! The scenes in Seattle were so boring! I wish Landon was there to make it better, but no such luck! At least we got that ending. A fucked up ending, but still. So let’s start with my usual complaints (I’m always complaining about this series).
This one is the most important --> Hardin, I already have so many problems with you so don’t add more to the bunch. How can you not like Harry Potter!? You’re a freakin idiot! Just kidding :p But I really hate when people say they don’t like Harry Potter. Just saying... Now, let’s get serious and talk about some specific scenes (some spoilers ahead).
This book starts with Tessa getting reacquainted with her dad, who is still a drunk and is also homeless. Tessa takes her dad to her and Hardin’s apartment to feed him and let him rest but he ends up staying there for some days.
Meanwhile Hardin finds out about Tessa going to Seattle and he doesn’t like it one bit. He says he’s not going with her but doesn’t come up with a valid reason for it. He just says he doesn’t want to go. They fight a bit, but they stop talking about it because Tessa expects Hardin to change his mind and Hardin expects Tessa to change her mind. Eventually Tessa and Hardin go on a small vacation with Landon, Ken (Hardin’s father) and Karen and that’s where the problems start again.
Tessa finds out that Hardin went behind her back and talked to the Seattle real estate agent she contacted, to prevent her from renting an apartment. Tessa is obviously furious because she’s going to Seattle in some days and she doesn’t have an apartment because of Hardin. Going to Seattle while working at a publishing company is her dream since she was a child but Hardin doesn’t care about that. He’s a selfish prick that wants everything to go his way. Thank God, this time, Tessa is so damn furious that she just kicks Hardin out of the room.
Hardin gets out of the cabin to take a walk and ends up meeting a girl named Lillian who is also the daughter of one of his father’s college friends, and he talks to her about his problems with Tessa. At one of their conversations something hilarious happens. When he's talking with Lillian at the coffee shop and she tells him that she doesn't hang out with her friends much because her girlfriend doesn't like them and she doesn't want to pick a fight with her, I was like "where does this sound familiar?". And then Hardin goes and says that he thinks her girlfriend is a bitch! I laughed so much! Look at you Hardin, you do the same freakin thing to Tessa! You're a freakin hypocrite! This is unbelievable! But wait, this gets better!
I don't know why I still am surprised by Hardin's attitude, but the little stunt he pulled off at the restaurant was so low. He used Lillian (who happens to be a lesbian) to make Tessa jealous, to hurt her when he has already hurt her so much with the story about the Seattle apartment. Before this dinner, Tessa told him she didn't want him to come to Seattle with her since he went behind her back and messed up with her living arrangements. He did that because he doesn't want her to go and leave him, and he’s a moron that doesn't want to go with her for no reason whatsoever. So then he pulls this stunt at the restaurant just to hurt her. She's reaching her breaking point and he just keeps hurting her all over again. He thinks he has the right to mess up with Tessa’s dream but he really doesn't.
Obviously, when they get back, Tessa and Hardin fight over all of these things that happened on the trip. Their fight goes to another level this time and they breakup. They say awful things to each other but Tessa still insists with him. She begged him to try again, she begged him to try and change for real this time but he just told her he didn’t want to try anymore. She said that if she left she wouldn’t come back anymore and this time would be for real (I have a hard time believing that, but let’s pretend I believe her). But Hardin just told her to leave and shut the door on her face.
Because Hardin and Tessa have broken up, she goes to her supposed go-away (or something like that) party alone. Oh my God, that party! I knew something was going to happen because, let’s face it, there's always something that happens at those frat parties but I didn’t know it was going to be that bad. I though Steph and Molly were going to humiliate Tessa or something because she was the reason for the group splitting up, but I didn’t expect that. Apparently
Tessa really gets on my nerves sometimes! Here I was thinking she was finally taking the reins of her life and was going to get herself to a better place after her breakup with Hardin, but no… her resolution of being away from Hardin starts crumbling again. She has an awful night, I know, but that’s not reason to change your mind. She ends up deciding that she wants some time apart from Hardin because he needs to work on his anger and she wants some time to herself. So, they change from a definitive breakup to a pause in the relationship. As you can see, her resolution starts crumbling, again. It doesn’t matter the cruel things Hardin did and told her in their last fights, she is already forgiving him. Hardin ends up agreeing with her and gets back home and Tessa is supposed to leave her mother’s house for Seattle the next morning.
But what’s the first thing Tessa does when she gets bored? She calls Hardin! News flash Tessa, if you want some space and don’t want to be so dependent on him you can’t freakin call him all the time! She even asks to call him in the morning! What’s the matter with you, Tessa!? You’re so dependent on Hardin it makes me sick. Do you even remember your last fight with him? What he told you? You’re unbelievable! Can’t you do anything by yourself!? If you want to talk to someone call Landon! He’s your best friend, ffs! Thank God Hardin tells her it’s not a good idea for her to call him in the morning. He actually tells her they shouldn’t call each other while they are apart. Great idea Hardin, I agree with you this time.
But then, I have to remind myself that they never do what they’re supposed to do. Hardin and Tessa notion of space is unbelievable! They agreed to take some time apart but they talk on the phone every freakin day of the week for hours! And they barely make in through the week without seeing each other because Hardin gets on his car and drives to Seattle in her first weekend there! Fantastic notion of space! And just like that Tessa forgets everything about their fight, it’s like it never happened! That’s it Tessa, you win! I give up on you! You’re hopeless! You have no self-respect and self-control around Hardin. You love him and I get that but you can’t let him hurt you and crush you over and over again and stay a day mad at him and then kiss him all over his face and everything is fine! This is just ridiculous! But I have my limits, so I’m going to shut up know because I give up! From now on, if you get hurt, I don’t freakin care!
Poor Zed goes to Seattle to visit Tessa because he just can’t let her go. Zed maddened Tessa while they went to dinner but he was right. He threw at her some truths about her relationship with Hardin and she didn’t like it. Too bad Tessa, deal with it! I like Zed, but this is getting out of hand. Zed, you have to give up and let her go. She’s obsessed with Hardin and she’s never going to love you like she loves him.
Now, Landon. I can’t believe Dakota broke up with him! Why did you do that? He’s perfect! He was going to move to New York because of you! What the hell is he going to do now? He’s so sad it broke my heart. :( I really like Landon and I loved the hug scene where Landon and Tessa are seeing each other again when she’s visiting from Seattle. They really missed each other. I wish they stayed in the same city.
And there’s something going on between Ken and Karen but I don’t know what it is.
Two things about Hardin that I don’t get at all:
1) I really don’t understand how Hardin wanted to move to England when he doesn’t even want Tessa to be there for a weekend. It doesn’t make any sense!
2) And what the hell is his problem with marriage? It won’t change anything. You want to be with Tessa forever, you said so yourself, so what’s the problem? If the problem is the divorce, let me tell you that it’s not because of the marriage that people get a divorce. Actually it is because it’s a legal procedure that only happens if people are married, but people break up when they are married and when they are not married. So, being married does not increase the likelihood of Tessa leaving you. I really don’t understand what your problem is.
Now the ending of the book. Let’s take a trip down memory lane! Trish (Hardin’s mom) is going to get married to Mike but at the morning of her wedding Hardin catches her
But that’s not all! This gets worse! Apparently
I think Hardin is not going to deal with this properly. He trusted He will probably lash out on Tessa. I just know it. I still can’t believe they kept this secret for years! Dear God, Hardin will never forgive them. After this, I want some explanation for this disclosure. Let’s see what happens in the last book… -
congratulations u have joined the highly exclusive club of movies that were better than the book
-
Will I finally be able to get to the last book?
-
oh my goodness.
but also i want to read the last book.
I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW ANYONE CAN READ THIS FOR ENJOYMENT.
WARNING: DO NOT START THIS BOOK. I DO NOT KNOW WHY I AM READING IT BUT MOSTLY JUST BECAUSE I NEED TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENS IN THE END. DO NOT OPEN THIS BOOK. don't do it. -
Audiobook...narrated by Shane East, and Elizabeth Louise.
The narrators were FINE!!!!
Each Audiobook is around 24 hours of listening!!!!
If awards were given for the most ‘eye-rolling’ scrimpy, inconsequential series— these books would win!!!
On that note... I’m still investing my time.
After 3 of these books - ( one more to complete the series)...
Do you want to know my theory as to why I think many of us keep listening to these Audiobooks???..( readers themselves can’t explain the reason fully)...
Books that use up hours of meaningless time???
The intensity between the unreasonable rage, followed by intense primal passionate sex is kinda fascinating.
Who lives like this??
Either the reader has experienced crazy incredible passionate-out of-your-mind-sex - or you haven’t.
We are all adults here -( just sayin)...
Hardin & Tessa...are definitely not dull-boring- or deadbeat lovers. They might have found the formula that keeps their sex feeling electric.....
but the ongoing
on and off again fighting would feel too exhausting & scary for most people.
I’ve experienced make-up sex... it’s ‘different’...much more intense... and hot.
Yet I wouldn’t want the ‘before’ too often in order to experience ‘the after’.
I’d selfishly just want the ‘after’ anger sex ( without the anger)...
Tessa & Hardin are addicted to each other - it’s rare that their type of relationship would last 70+ hours - as these Audiobooks do.
Not many couples could sustain the type of relationship that Tessa and Hardin have. No matter how f#cked up their relationship is - they are both equal partners in keeping their game alive.
They give us insights ( yes insights) ... of what a deeply sexual passionate relationship looks like...
in order to KEEP THE HEAT HOT.. BURNING HOT...over and over again.
....wild & exciting- it’s almost as if this couple is saying...
THEIR LOVE FEELS STRONGER as long as fighting is part of what ‘they do’....
Each time - they survived the fight - the ‘love’ they feel while having make-up sex is more personal and intense!!!
Most of us don’t live with intense lustful - up & down emotions for 1 other person like Tessa and Hardin do.
Soo... ‘perhaps’ maybe that’s what many of us find intriguing about these almost - fruitless books.
But like I said in my first review of Book 1...
Don’t expect me to justify reading them.
Book 4 will complete the series.
Book 3 was better than book 2.
Book 1 was the ‘hook’ that got some of us to continue.
Of course I don’t recommend these books ...
but I’m enjoying my time with them anyway. -
How this fanfic can have so many readers? I honestly don't get it. I can't understand how there's people who read this and actually like it. I give up.
-
HOLY SHIZZBALLS DID NOT SEE THAT COMING WHAT
-
I think I need therapy before I start this one, or a share in wine because this series to date has done my head in. #0800THERAPY
But like the sucker for punishment I am I can't stop reading this #trainwreck of a series!!
This kick starts us off where the previous book left off, nine years since she last saw her father or even had a relationship with him.
New job
New town
New friends
New life
And the old stabby angst with the ever present insecurities still alive simmering in the background.
God each books cliffy gets more brutal!! I need a break before I even attempt to jump onto the next book. These two are too much for my head and my aching heart!!

No. ¿Son buenos? No. Son libros.
i gave this book neutral rating coz i have love/hate relationship with it ,I did like it, it was just missing some kind of element to make it “great”. Two people meet, they form a relationship, and as time passes they decided to either stay together or break-up. but Naaaaaaah not this couple !! Tessa and Hardin hated each other at first but after they got to know one another they became friends , then friends with benefits, then a couple, it was long long lonnnnnnnnng very long journey to get there , their relationship had so many ups and downs, just when you think everythings is going well , someone would do a stupid thing s they brpeak up , After the break-up, on-again/off-again couple get back together and so on i feel like it's so repatitive !! break up and make up repeat , the back and forth is so annoying
“I keep on fallin’ in and out of love with you. Sometimes I love ya, sometimes you make me blue. Sometimes I feel good, at times I feel used. Lovin’ you darlin’ makes me so confused.” – Alicia Keys -
This was trash that I have decided to read. With that being said I enjoyed the first book I understood why the the second book was written but this one annoyed me to the core. Tessa is so whiny and indecisive. With Her saying "I cant take this"or "I cant do this anymore"and then the next moment she is back with Hardin. They were NEVER apart long enough to see how it is to be without each other. This story line was so repetitive 800 page book cut into maybe a 300 pages. I could keep going on and on why I didnt like this book but I'm done.
There is another book after this and I just want to pick it up because I have invested 3 books into this 4 book series. 🤷♀️ maybe I will...maybe I wont. -
“Nobody is a lost cause. They just think they are, so they don't even bother to try sometimes.”
This was a really long book! So many things happened again... I don't even know where to start...
There are some unexpected revelations in this book!
But let's start in the beginning:
1) Tessa's father...He's an alcoholic...no surprise here (I didn't hated him though)
2) Seattle...This is the main issue between Tessa and Hardin, I didn't liked that Hardin didn't wanted to go with Tessa.
3) Steph...I never really liked her before, but in this book I absuletely hated her! Not gonna lie after she was begging for Tessa's forgiveness in After We Collided, I was surprised when I read what she did in this book...
4) Zed...He is tried to be with Tessa again, saying bad things about Hardin again...Fortunately Tessa and Hardin handled the Zed problem smoothly this time. Hessa's problem handling becames much better as the story goes on.
5) Thrish' and Christian's secret...That was the biggest surprise of all, I didn't see that coming... -

This series is so draining but I love it anyways. -
To my surprise i didn't want to pull out my hair reading this one. i liked the way the story progressed. it didn't have the same back and forth fighting like usual, there was more to it and different complications. so it deserves an extra star apart from the others. the ending was perfect, sucks that i already expected it but it was great. ON TO THE LAST BOOK!

After
After We Collided
The After series keeps on getting better and better! After We Fell is by far my favorite of the three!
At the end of After We Collided we were left again on a cliffhanger with a rather unexpected turn of events, Tessa is trying to find a way to break the news of her impending move to Seattle to Hardin when she runs into her estranged father outside a tattoo shop…
I hope you guys are fond of rollercoasters because, this book like its two predecessors, is nothing short of one, so hang on tight!
It’s no surprise when I tell you that as soon as I started I was already frustrated.
Tessa is going ahead with her plans to relocate to Seattle with Vance Publishing, Things are rocky with Hardin though not completely called off.
Hardin is wayyyyyyyy frustrating though, when one thinks that he is starting to understand that a relationship takes compromise and that it's not all about him and what he wants, he turns into the most unreasonable person ever. He doesn’t have a valid reason at all to not want to move with Tessa to Seattle other than his insecurities, but yet even when he knows this he still chooses to be a total idiot about it.
Tessa talks him into coming on a weekend trip with her and his family, in an effort to try and mend things and have some fun together.
The trip will prove to be anything but fun! I felt like jumping into the book and screaming at Hardin I just couldn't even process what he was doing!
Once again the Hardin from the past surfaces and it’s like we took 10 steps backward rather than forward, again he proves he can be overly controlling and inconsiderate. I was seriously pissed with him when I found out the lengths that he went to in order to try and get his way. I couldn’t blame Tessa for being tired of his antics, when over and over he screws things up and then expects her to just forgive and forget.
I was glad though to see that Tessa didn’t give in to Hardin’s wishes, and put herself and her career first. I think Hardin needs to learn that not everything can go his way.
Though while super smart for some things Tessa can be soooo dense for others. She gets invited to a “going away” party at the frat house out of all places. Why would she even consider going there and hanging out with all those people that were nothing but horrible to her? I was screaming at the top of my lungs in frustration, ok fine maybe I was screaming into my Goodreads updates, but seriously Tessa!!
This is the point when things start getting really screwy and my heart was racing out of my chest, I mean we have seen betrayal before and I really didn’t think I would see anything that would have me totally flabbergasted again…! I was crying angry tears for Tessa, I had to put the book down and walk away from it for a bit… I was in total and absolute disbelief…
I don’t want to give you tooo many details but just know that there is drama, frat house drama, Tessa’s dad drama, Tessa’s mother drama oh! and if you didn’t guess it? Yeah, there is plenty of Zed drama!
I mean I get it Zed is hot, he is nice, he shows up at the right time and at the right place but come on Tessa!!!! How much more are you going to push Hardin? Again I found myself wanting to slap some sense into this girl.
In After We Fell, like After We Collided, we have Hardin’s POV which again is crucial to the story because while he still makes you mad you can understand why he is the way he is. I cant deny the growth in him, trying to control his temper, trying not to be impulsive and especially being much more considerate with Tessa, even his relationship with Landon makes you smile in this book. Again you see the wonderful guy he can be if he can learn to love himself.
But, it’s Hessa we are talking about here so drama doesn’t stay at bay for too long and the last part of the book will prove to be jaw dropping totally unexpected drama, and for this I won’t drop even a hint because you really need to experience this for yourself. All I can say is that it was unexpected and devastating, I’m scared for Hardin and his state of mind and him falling into that downward spiral he seems to often flirt with. What he will face will definitely be a very tough pill to swallow.
The last line in this book left me hyperventilating and in disbelief…
and in need of wine.. lots and lots of wine...
It has been a very long time since I've had a book hangover, years even. I finished After We Fell and couldn't stop thinking about it, let alone start another book right away.
The fourth and final installment will be hitting shelves on February 24, yup that's 50 days from today (but who's counting), I can totally wait, because I'm so not dying to know what happens next....
AAAAHHHHH! Who am I kidding!!?
Thanks again to Gallery Books and Simon and Schuster for providing me with review copies, you guys are the best!
Here is something fun I'd like to share, I have been reading these books at the same time as some of my friends (we are all just as addicted to it), so when we all started of course updates were expected often
here is a small sample of our convos as we were reading After We Fell LOL

Has anyone called the Discovery network in order to schedule my episodes of Intervention or My Strange Addiction yet??????
So here we are again . . . .
Luckily after over an additional EIGHT HUNDRED PAGES of drivel I was finally able to stop reading this crap. But now I’m pretty sure . . . .
Let’s just call the time I spent on this series an unfortunate side effect of the pandemic and additional proof that 2020 sucked a big bag of dicks. -
why do i keep doing this to myself?

Nine hundred pages... of utter bullshit. It's still the same thing over and over again. I can't even differeciate the books from each other.
I loved the first book, I tolareted the second but the third just annoys the shit out of me. I'm sorry not sorry for being crude and all but I'm so dissapointed and there are two books left and I honestly fear what will be in them..
