Thinking back, I'm not really sure why/how I ended up reading this, but the long and short of the story is that this was somehow a revenge turned paranormal BDSM menage story.

Yes, you heard me right. Dante and Trax Field (Can't. Stop. Laughing.) are two gents who end up saving the life of a woman whose revenge attempt goes horribly wrong. Liz Wharton wants to kill a man she works for because 20 years ago he raped her mother. Tragic scenario in the backdrop, but the plan was pretty much doomed from the start. She laces the guy's drink with GHB, waits for him to pass out for the longest time so that once he's out, she can shoot him with the gun hidden in her purse.

Only he never does. She makes an escape like nothing's wrong, but then out of the blue, a van comes barreling after her, and she's saved by Trax from the ordeal. She later finds out that the reason the boss (Harvey Couch) never passed out was because he was really a werewolf, as are Trax and his brother Dante. And now Couch wants to kill her. Of course Liz, upon meeting the brothers, falls head over heels in instalust with them, and ends up sleeping with one of them and into a full on BDSM menage with the two of them (don't ask me how or why this happens - it doesn't make sense. Seriously, it just doesn't.) So in the midst of protecting her from Couch's influence, they're also engaging in sexy times with Liz.

The ending to this was a rather cruel cliffhanger to top things off. I can't say that I was upset by it because I didn't have any investment in the story for its implausibilities. In sum, I think the overarching story was disjointed and very threadbare, plus an obvious excuse to have the characters engaging in sexy times - but the scenario was so ridiculously portrayed - it just didn't work.

Suffice to say, this wasn't my cuppa.

    Overall score: 0.5/5

Note: I received this as an ARC from NetGalley, from the publisher.

3.75 stars. I rate on my enjoyment level. So even though a book might be simple and the theme has been done before, if I have enjoyed the book at the time and it's made me want more I will rate how I see fit.
Liz is saved by Trax after she is attacked on her way home from work. It quickly becomes apparent that she is in some trouble and Trax and his brother Dante want to keep her safe, especially because she is their mate. Dante and Trax could not be more different and even though Dante is for all systems go in the claiming of Liz, Trax wants to hold off until the mission is over and Liz is safe.
The uncontrollable lust that overtakes them whenever they are around her soon escalates leading to steamy scenes between the trio.
Training Their Mate, was a werewolf ménage story, I love this sort of story.
No matter how quick they have their instant attraction, no matter how unrealistic it seems, I can't help by be totally into it, especially if the characters are likeable and the sexing is hot.
This book had all of those things, plus the added bonus of it being bdsm loving. I have to say, that sort of shocked me, it came as a little bit of a surprise, but I was totally willing to hang in there because I was enjoying it so much.
The erotic moments in this book were just lovely, but I will warn you that partial shifting was involved, but not to an extreme, but warnings anyway in case that is not your thing.
    Its totally my thing!! hahahahah.
Training Their Mate is the first in the series and it introduced several other characters and at the end led us into who the next story would be about and that just made me want more.
    Can't wait.

I received this book from Netgalley for my honest review.

Terrible characterization, terrible language, terrible world-building.

his heat-seeking missile of a cock was going to find its target

Is it supposed to be a parody? Wait, more sex goodness:
    "I need your sweet honey."
No one had said that to her, ever.

No one's said that to me either, if it can make you feel better.
    - I don't like being kidnapped.
    - I asked you nicely, ma'am.

What's next? I raped you, but if you'd said yes I wouldn't have had to?
The male characters are calling the female protagonist "Liz", "sugar" and "sweetheart" just one hour after meeting her.
If she allowed him to finish washing her, it meant she was basically saying yes to having sex with him.

    Did it?
    Did I mention the typos?
Did I mention the stupid protagonist? She suggests catching a werewolf by lacing a steak with poison. Because werewolves become stupid when they shift or something. The hero's reaction?
She was clever. (...) "I'm thinking he'll see through the ploy. It's not like he's a real wolf."

"There's a jail in the middle of Florida just for shifters."
"Why haven't I heard about it?"
"That would defeat the purpose of hiding the existence of werewolves, don't you think?"

Come on, Trax, that'd be assuming she thinks.
She went upstairs only to have another door slap her in the face.

    Bella Swan, leave that body!
"There's no fucking way I'm taking a girl with me to do a man's job."

    Ok, I'm done here.

    Liz, Trax, Dante

Liz Wharton has gone under cover at the offices Harvey Couch in order to kill him. She read her mothers' diary after her suicide only to find out that Couch had raped her mother twenty years ago and recently started repeatedly raping her again. But the GHB, Liz has given him doesn't seem to be working. Undercover as his new assistant she'd placed it in his coffee. But when he didn't pass out, she leaves the office at the end of the day like nothing's happened. On her way to her car, Liz is attached by two 'dog,' which she witnesses turn into men.

She's saved by Trax Field, who has been tracking Couch an other like him that the call Colter's. Trax and his brother Dante are good werewolves and recognize Liz as their mate. They decide to take her to their house and keep her their until Couch can be caught. The problem is that Trax is fighting his mating instinct as Dante is embracing it and has sex with Liz almost the moment she walks into their home.

Of course there's a lot of sex, Harvey threatens Liz. Liz is ticked off when she realizes her two men are werewolves and they didn't tell her. yadda, yadda yadda.

I didn't hate it, but there were so many contradictions and dumb things in this book. At first, Liz thinks they are dogs that have attached her. But then she speculates about the movies and how there are werewolves, werecats, etc. Then she goes right back to calling them dogs. Before she even has sex with Dante, he talks to her about the fact that both he and Trax want to have sex with her then he brings it up again and says something to the effect of, "Wait until you have both of us together" and she just seems to go with it. I'm thinking WHAT?! Not that its not a nice thought, but come on. She has to be shocked that it would seem so normal to them and even that two brothers would want to share a woman. There's a point when she's changing and needs a hand hooking her bra and she puts her arms through the straps and holds it close to her and asks Trax to hook it up. But then the author writes that Liz lifts her shirt to ask him to button her jeans. Then she tells her friend Chelsea about the werewolves who've attacked her and Chelsea just goes with it. Never questions it. And it's a big fact that humans don't know about them. Also, when Couch shoots at her when she's been handcuffed in the car by Trax, she speculates that he may have blanks in his gun, because they didn't penetrate the window. I'm thinking how stupid that is. My first thought it why isn't she pissed at Trax for leaving her handcuffed and vulnerable in a car bulletproofed windows or not? Then, why would the guy have blanks in his gun, since he didn't know she was going to be there? It was just dumb. Then she stupidly asks Trax about it. It was just a terrible thing for the author to write. Liz isn't supposed to be a bubble head, that I know of. Then there is never an explanation as to why Couch was fixated on Liz's mother and felt the need to rape her once let alone twenty years later.

The only good thing about the book was her connection to Dante. He was fun and I liked his interactions with Liz.

If NetGalley provided the next book in the series, I'm not sure I would read it. I definitely wouldn't buy it.

    3 'Wolfish' Stars

Pretty good. And rates higher because it's not too long. That sounds bad, but I mean it doesn't promise to be more than what it is. A shapeshifter ménage with a suspenseful twist. Oh, and some bondage & spanking thrown in.

Trax is a loner. He goes after bad guys--wolf shifters who turn thug. He's like the law, and he's super controlling and dedicated. He wouldn't have anything to do with women if it wasn't for his Hawaiian shirt and sandals wearing, chill brother, Drake. They share women.as do other members of their pack. It's how they roll.

Along comes, Liz, who has a bone to pick with super thug Couch. The man who raped her mother repeatedly and drove her to commit suicide.

What Liz doesn't know is Couch is a wolf shifter and she just tried to poison him. Now Trax, who has been after Couch for months, must protect her as Couch is after her.

Yep, she's a feisty one and the brothers want her, as in they recognize her as their mate. Maybe it's the wrong time to tell her that. Oh, and they're into control, so they have some training to do.

    My gripes:

--Some of the dialogue was just off. I found myself rewording it in my head to make it flow better. Super distracting.
--Many times this badly flowing dialogue was during smexy scenes and it kinda ruined them.
--The 'play' scenes came off as unnecessarily rough, due to awkward writing.

Still, I'd recommend it. I'd just finished reading Milly Taiden's Twice the Growl and I couldn't help comparing these two stories. They're both rate the same stars, but TtG had a sense of levity that injected some romance, which was missing here.

(All these 3 star ratings for Shifter Romances seem harsh. However, I want these 3 Stars to signify 'Good/Enjoyed' but don't make it to a 4 Star = Very Good or a 5 Star = Excellent rating.)

    This review was posted at
    Tsuki’s Book Blog on August 9, 2013.

I so dislike posting a DNF rating for a book and I usually try my hardest to stick it out and give it at least a one star. Unfortunately by the time I got to 20% I was perilously close to throwing my Kindle across the room. I struggled through every bit of it as I tried to suspend disbelief and accept the characters and the story. It really bums me out when the premise sounds amazing but it doesn't pan out.

Basically there is this girl, Liz, and she's trying to kill some guy because years ago the guy raped her mother repeatedly years ago. Her mother left a diary (really?) detailing the trauma so Liz decides to poison the guy. She fails. When fleeing the guy she gets rescued by a werewolf, Trax, she becomes embroiled in the paranormal world.

I only read up to the point where Trax and Dante (his brother) showed up and were attempting to explain werewolves. By that time, I'd already checked out. There was so much unbelievable action and character reaction I couldn't stomach the remainder of the story. I couldn't connect to any of the characters and while I understood I was only partially into the story, I usually need to care more by that point.

Basically Liz was an idiot. She wasn't misguided or just a bad spy but completely idiotic. She tried to off the guy on her first day at work! Who does that?! Build some trust first and then try to kill him. Also she had almost no life skills. She had no insurance, no sensible footwear, no plan for escape, nothing. She was just a damsel who needed saving by two brothers who like to share.

The brothers were completely interchangeable other than one being a little laid-back and the other being more tight-assed. I had trouble discerning who was talking and who was arguing. I had trouble figuring out which was sitting where or doing what since they were so similar. Their entire intro basically surrounded them being werewolves and liking to share women. Oh and they wanted a mate.

The kicker for me was the moment she went with the strange guy to a hospital. She didn't know the guy and she just watched him shoot somebody. Then she went to the clinic with him and then later allowed him and his brother into her home. Who does that? I couldn't take her seriously after that.

A final note was over the somewhat sloppy opening. The story moved way too quickly in order to introduce all the players very quickly. As a reader I did not get the chance to get to know the heroine, which the story followed, before all the action started. I had no time to start to care about her before others were introduced. She was flat to me and uninteresting when she needed to be fascinating. It was a struggle to remember her name.

I would not recommend this book to anyone. Some may love the triad romance and the paranormal aspect but there are better options out there. I'm sorry to say I could not recommend this in good conscience to my followers.

Do You Like "Dirty-Talking" Characters? TRAINING THEIR MATE by Vella Day

    Original Post:
    http://fangswandsandfairydust.blogspo...

There are some good things I want to say about this book but first I want to tell I asked the title question because the language used between Trax, Drake and Liz is crude, as is their behavior in introducing her to BDSM. That introduction seemed simplistic. The language and behavior become less rough in the final third of the book, but by then I was possibly inured to it.

I actually cringed as I read some of the sex scenes, not blushed, cringed. It wasn't erotic it was pornographic. I don't find it exciting but that's just my preference. Different strokes make the world an interesting place.

I'm not a language snob but the constant use of certain words turns me off. What about you; do you like characters who "talk dirty?" And, it is not the norm for me to outright say a book is not recommended but I must here. I recognize that my opinion is just that: mine. It is not the be-all-end-all authority on a book being good or bad. But I figure that's what you're here for.

I appreciated the quality of the physical action sequences and some of the twists were inventive. The story is okay - not terribly believable or original but not boring: Good Werewolves versus bad werewolves. We never find out what Harry told her about her mother, although it is mentioned that she shared it with Trax and Drake. It was good that the Good Guy wolves weren't always on top of things.

The character development is weak and depends on using typical characters and our acceptance of the characters as those "types." Liz is determined but naive sexually (and then not so naive) and to the supernatural. Trax is the stern and strong controlling type, and Drake is a little more happy go lucky.

But it is the language in this book that turned me off, the same words over and over and not interspersed with other terms that would be used in a loving intimate relationship. The introduction; the training of their mate, assumes she is a natural submissive, and that she knows something about the lifestyle. It is clear she does not. No Recommendation.

If you do want a look I recommend checking out the sample first.

This is one of the 1st books I have read by Vella Day and I have to say I was not disappointed. Best way to disciple this book is a BDSM ménage werewolf book. It was awesome. Better then 50 Shades of Grey. I will definitely be reading one of her books again.
Liz Whartons is seeking to kill the man by the name of Harvey Couch who repeatedly raped her mother, which caused her mother’s suicide. Not knowing that Harvey was a werewolf and hard to kill she felled miserable. Harvey sent his goons aka werewolves to kill Liz. She was lucky that that Trax was there to save her.
Trax and Dante Fields were these Alpha Dom werewolves who were a member of “The Pack”. They had been trying to catch the scumbag Harvey Couch and put him in werewolf jail. To their surprise they did not know that the woman that Harvey was trying to kill was their future mate. Dante who was will to except who she was and was eager to claim her and make her theirs. Trax on the other hand was not so eager to have her.
Both werewolves took her down a sexual road that she was unaware she craved. Would she give into their dominate ways? Could she accept them as werewolves once she finds out? Can she be the submissive they so crave? Will Trax come around and take her as their mate. Will Harvey be captured or succeed on killing Liz? All good questions and you will have to read the book to find out

New to me author. Premise/storyline sounded promising and I got this free so it was a win/win for me.

As to the story itself. At a superficial level this was a good read. Action/suspense/erotic action all worked. Has potential for the future.

My issues were more from the fact that I've read so many books/series of this kind that I really didn't feel this author carved a nitch that made it unique or noteworthy. Again, it's a good read and for anyone looking for a menage book with the alpha personality guys who meet and basically abduct their mate (strongly encourage her to come with them would be more appropriate I guess) and subsequently claim her this is a book you'll like. There's adventure/intrigue/characters with issues and all that but.

Also, I had problems relating to the core problems with the characters in this relationship. That probably is my main gripe. My thought is that paranormal beings who find their mate MUST protect, cherish, love, claim them at whatever cost. As to the BDSM. Not quite sure I could go along with this either. Just sayin.

  • Cherryreads

Training Their Mate is an ok read. I loved the concept and the sex scenes were hot, but their seemed to be a little something off that I can’t really put into words. I am a paranormal romance geek, and I love a good werewolf tale, so I had high hopes for this story. The author tries to start with action and drama from the start (I‘m big a fan of that too), but I feel as though there needed to be a little more character development. Another issue with this book is that it is difficult to tell which character is talking at times and that left me a little confused. The dialogue was cheesy in places. Also the book seems to be a little rushed at the end. I know that this is all fiction, but it seems unbelievable that Liz would go from being scared to death to happy go lucky in the span of a few minutes. I really wanted this book to be better than it was, but it is an ok somewhat short read.

  • Blackrose87235

I'm not sure what I expected prior to going into this, but after reading just the first page I was like, are you serious?! Already mad at the stupidity of the main character trying to take matters into her own hands when she has some form of evidence, I continued reading on.
Romance scenes were lame. Character's weren't even really developed. And I just honestly did not care when I was reading this. But somehow I finished it which is why I'm giving it 2 stars.

DNF not for me only read 50%

  • Rubixcube

I'll confess I only considered reading this book because of two reasons. Firstly it was like 180 or 190 pages (so I know I could demolish this). Secondly, I wanted to overtake a certain someone in the reading challenge.

If it wasn’t for the book challenge, I would have struggled to continue reading after page 35.

Let me begin to review what I have just read.

So let's begin: I stumbled upon the werewolf version of 50 shades of grey. Except, dare I say even written worse than E. L James (That's quite a feat)

Dante and Travis Field are two werewolves and brothers who both find their mate simultaneously and shock horror it's the same girl. A girl named Liz who is out for revenge on a werewolf who harmed her mother (Sounds like a good premise for some action). No, instead all we got was a weak storyline with lots and lots of hokey. Travis is a controlling, OCD freak who (wait for it) has a playroom. He is a dominant, into BDSM and seeks to teach Liz all about her venture into the submissive role (Sounding familiar). I severely disliked 50 shades of grey, but this book makes 50 shades seem like a well-written masterpiece. At least it had character development before they got down to the ass spanking business. The protagonist supposedly gets kidnap, so what does she do has sex with one of them that night.

    description

The sex scenes were a train wreck, where it was so bad you couldn’t look away. I'm surprised Liz wasn’t a virgin, from the number of times she referred to no guy ever doing this to me before.
Exhibit A: “She never before allowed anyone to do these things to her before (butt plugs and anal if your wondering) Why? “Because she’s never trusted anyone like Trax and Dante (I know cue the eye roll, sweety you literally were kidnapped by them a day ago.
    description

It fathoms me how this book even got published, I’ve written grocery lists more in-depth than this book. I guess I can’t complain it was free on bookbub, now I know why it was free (don’t fall for the trap).

Erotica werwolves and a good plot.

I love me some werewolf fiction, and this one didn't disappoint.
It actually has a really good back plot to it, as well.

Liz needs to get the dirt on her new boss. She even went so far as to bribe her way into his employ.
He is the reason her mother killed herself, and page one opens up with how she's trying to kill him.

Little does she know, he's a tough s-o-b to kill, because he has a secret. Unfortunately, he knows hers.

Thank the creator for Trax and Dante, for coming to her rescue, when her boss, Couch, wants her dead.

She not only learns that they mean to keep her safe, but they also both want her, and are dying to introduce her to their playroom.

The story itself was pretty basic to the point where all I was thinking about was the ending. I get the instant attraction and all that with the shifter stories but the whole Couch stuff was boring. Even with Liz going after him in the beginning was off, especially for her to turn around and play the damsel when the van is after her. The dumb blonde thing was annoying. Trax seemed like he didn’t have a clue with what he was doing and Dante seemed to only want sex. No real relationship bond was formed and the whole Chelsea wanting her own fantasy was enough to really turn me off the next one.

3.5* Nothing like a good instalove ménage with two hot werewolves! Liz, Trax and Dante steam up the sheets (and the playroom) whole trying to capture the bad guy who wants to kill Liz. Storyline had the potential to be different than the normal shapeshifter book with the pack hunting the coulters but it didn't esplore that enough in my opinion.

Training Their Mate (Pack Wars Book 1)

    Vella Day

Liz Wharton has suffered a lot in her young life because of one man Harvey Couch. He is responsible for raping her mother, her parent’s divorce and then her mother’s suicide. Liz wants to kill him. She tries but does not succeed. Seems evil Mr. Couch is a werewolf and not a very nice one at that. Now the evil werewolf wants revenge. He wants to kill her.

She manages to attract the attention of brother Trax and Dante Field after an attempt on her life. These are the good guys. They spend their life hunting down the evil rogue werewolves and killing them. One look and Liz though and their lives take a dramatic and life altering turn. She is the ONE; she is to be their mate.

They convince her to come home with them, to keep her safe, to get to know her a little bit better. Dante is sweet and loving. Trax is more thought provoking, more serious and definitely a neat freak. Separately they set out to win her. Dante showing her sweet loving and Trax introducing her to their play room tying her up, spanking her using nipple clamps and butt plugs. She is in so much lust, she is on top of the world but surely she can’t stay here forever.

There is bound to be more conflict, Couch is still out there. There is a tiny little detail that has not been addressed yet. She does not realize that they too are werewolves. They have been keeping this very vital bit of information from them.

I thought this story was smoking hot. I love werewolf stories and with two werewolves in this on it was double loving for me. I thought the sex scenes were perfect. I liked how the brothers were complete opposite and spent time with her individually before taking her together. The love that they had for her was evident as their primary goal was strictly to see to her pleasure, to make her experience the best it could be.

I enjoyed meeting the rest of the team and seeing the interaction and instant attraction to her friend Chelsea. The cliffhanging ending was certainly jaw dropping. I would give this story a 5/5 and definitely looking forward to the next one.

FIRST IN A WEREWOLF ROMANCE SERIES

Having recently lost her her mother, Liz Wharton has read her mother's journals and discovered that her mother had been repeatedly raped by a man called Harvey Couch. Liz is hell bent on revenge, she bribes his secretary to leave so that she can take her place. But after she has drugged his coffee with the intent to shoot him. But the drug has seemingly no affect on the man. She leaves for home disappointed that her plan has failed.
What Liz doesn't know is that Harvy is a werewolf and unaffected by the drug she put in his coffee, annoyed he sends his men to kill her. Bruised and battered and trapped in an alleyway, she's suddenly saved by a stranger. Trax Field had been monitoring Harvey's phone and had heard his orders for his men to kill Liz.

Trax and his brother Dante are werewolves that belong to the pack, they have been after Harvey and the Colters for some time. Trax recognises that Liz is his and Dante's mate. But after her experience they are afraid to tell her the truth about themselves, but their need to protect her is their overriding concern.

First book in the series, and the first read for me by this author. This is a quick read that is well written. The author certainly manages to pack a lot in this. I liked that there's a real story running alongside the romance between the three leads. The sex scenes are very hot. With a ménage relationship, elements of BDSM and the added fact that Dante and Trax are werewolves was seamlessly written by the author. I also liked the contrast in the two brothers characters, with Trax the control freak, while Dante is much more easygoing.

There are more books to follow featuring more of the pack. I really enjoyed this and will certainly be checking out more by this author.

This book is short, really short. I would consider it a novella. My main problem with this book is that it requires suspension of belief, and I am not talking about werewolves. The first is that after being attacked and injured she goes off with a strange man. Instead of dialing 911. Then after she is checked out at the hospital her rescuer and his brother kidnap her but she never tries to escape. Instead she has sex with brother 1, and does not freak out when he says he can’t wait for brother 2 to have sex with her. Brother 2 has a BDSM play room, which she eagerly enters, and takes all “master” brother 2 doles out like a pro, even though she has never done anything like that before. She never freaks out, or even takes pause, over the fact that she is having sex with two brother’s. And her best friend never says anything about the fact that she is having threesomes with pair of brother’s, and the friend also never question’s the whole werewolf thing. Even though in this universe the supernatural is a myth.

This book is packed with sex, but to me it is not erotic. The author seems to be a victim of 50 Shades Syndrome. Almost all of the sex scenes are Liz being completely dominated, having “toys” used on her that cause extreme pain, yet for some reason even though it hurts like hell she get’s off. Not to mention she seems to exclusively take a pounding from her lovers, which gives her a sore vagina. She has no magical regenerative powers, yet she continues to have aggressive sex with two men with huge members and not once does she say “ouch”. I know this is fantasy, but it seems more like a tale of Stockholm Syndrome and bad rough sex than a erotic love story. I won’t be continuing with this series.

I love shifter/menage books but this one... *sigh* I hate saying it but it was kinda boring for me. The sex scenes were too long (not a huge fan of stretched out, delayed gratification sex), the mystery just wasn't that interesting & the characters were a little flat too. Add in the fact that it ended on a cliffhanger... Ugh. Probably won't be continuing on with this series.

This is one of those books that based on the plot description I really wanted to like. Maybe it's a result of deep seated psychological issues, but I like werewolf menage stories, especially if there's a bit of D/S thrown. Ultimately, however, this book falls really flat and despite my best efforts it was a DNF for me.

I like the concept behind the series. The heroes are members of The Pack a kind of werewolf commando group that hunts down rogue werewolves. Presumably later books in the Pack Wars series will involve other member of The Pack some of who are mentioned in the first installment. I find the fact that these rogues are called "Colters" to be distracting for some reason, but the author does have a reason behind this label.

The biggest problems with what I read of this book was with the characters and the writing style. The two heroes were completely undifferentiated. Their physical descriptions are quite opposites (that's how you know one's uptight and the other is laid back!), but that's really the only difference between the two. I had to constantly remind myself which one was which. Beyond that the writing style is kind of jerky and definitely flat. At the end of the day, the book was just another
    fifty shades fail.

There's the potential for an interesting series here if the author strengthens her writing muscles, but for now I'll give any future installments of this series a pass.

Note: I received a review copy of this book through Netgalley.

This is one of the 1st books I have read by Vella Day and I have to say I was not disappointed. Best way to disciple this book is a BDSM ménage werewolf book. It was awesome. So much better then 50 Shades of Grey.

OK! We all know I like a good menage story but I love a good menage brother story. Throw in a female bent on revenge and her spunky, I-can-take-care-of-myself attitude, add in some action and adventure, toss in some steamy and take-charge sex scenes and I am loving it. Maybe not!

This book had everything I usually love in a story. I was thrilled to get the chance to read and review it. But as much as I wanted to like it, I could not get into the story. I felt no real connection the the characters. At times, I really did not even like them. The book had no real flow to it. It was a little hard to feel any interest in the story or the characters. It seemed rushed and jumbled at times. It just fell flat to me and I was a little disappointed in the whole book.
Even the sex scenes in the book missed the mark. It was just sex with no real connection or heat. Emotions seemed to missing from the whole book.

For me I need to feel a connection or a spark for the story and characters but it was just not there for me.

Sorry to say this book was one of the few that I did not like and I had to force myself to finish the book.

Loved this story. Liz is the main character. She is upset that her mom killed her self. When she finds a diary that states she couldn't handle life angling do to someone who kept coming back to hurt her, Liz freaks. She goes after the guy and tries to poison him. But he didn't die. She left the job and was heading home when a white van was chasing her down. Two wolfs jump out of the van and head for her, but a stranger steps in and saves her. Trex sees she needs a doc, so he takes her to the doctors. His brother Dante shows up with her purse since she left it in the alley where the van was chasing her. They notice that she is their mate and try to keep her safe. But she falls in love with them and then finds out they are wolfs too and she runs. She misses them and is ready to go back when mr couch (her moms bad guy/ her temp boss who she tries to kill) breaks into her apartment to kill her. The boys show up and they all fight. Not telling you the rest. Going to go buy book 2. Loved it.

I can honestly say that I didn't like this book.

Although there was a good idea for a story there, it wasn't plotted well and the writing? OMG where do I start? I guess the easiest thing to say that the writing was atrocious and hard to follow.

The sex scenes were laughable and you didn't feel any of the emotions were true and it was hard to relate to any of the characters.

At times I actually rolled my eyes the book was that bad. I mean, how often can one creme oneself, have another orgasm... and would you really , after you have just been attacked go off with a strange man?

I honestly would not recommend this book to anyone, but if you really want to try it, get it from the library, this is not a book to buy.
