  While I mostly enjoyed them -- it was a decent, interesting story line -- I found myself skimming a lot of it. There was a LOT of sex, and -- at least for me -- they weren't the greatest, sexiest scenes, despite what was happening. Maybe because it started as a one night stand? I'm really big on emotions, and while I knew they sort of desperately needed each other, I didn't "feel" it like I do with some fictional couples. I'm probably not going to read #3, but I think book 4 is about another couple and it looked interesting (why I read the trilogy in the first place) so maybe I'll give it a go.

  Here's the thing, I started this book back when I was into the "billionaire romance" trope, but put it down. It has sat on my Calibre library as "unfinished" since June 2014. I have always had it on my Kindle as an unfinished book that I figured I would get back to. However, I have long since moved on and have now given up the ghost.
  
  I wish I could say that I might get around to finishing it, but I can't.
  
  As far as a review on what I read? It is a pretty standard new-adult contemporary erotic romance.
  Wealthy (not billionaire) attorney meets bartender by day (night), underground card sharp trying to get out of a debt at night. They meet, bang, move on...until he decided that he wanted more than once. She hides her "dark secret" that she's forced to keep playing and winning games by some Asian mafia. He makes it clear in all his conversations that lying is grounds for immediate dismissal. He gets her to fly to New York where he lives, she gets there (after taking panties off in the limo), he screws her on his balcony.....she decides not to tell him her "big secret"...and that's where it stopped for me....
  
  Might be better later, but is't pretty much meh for me. Nothing wrong with the book, I have just moved past the genre unless I have an itch for a NA/CER but I am not getting into something I started and put down two years ago.

  💞 FIRST NIGHT
  This is a prequel novella in the seductive nights series. I read it back in December when it was part of First a Night and Ever Afters. Lauren decided to write a series about Clay and Julia so she did some rewrites.
  
  Julia Bell is a bartender in San Francisco and a Clay Nichols is a lawyer from New York City. She is McKenna's sister (Trophy Husband) and he is friends with Davis Milo (playing with Her Heart). McKenna knew that Clay would be traveling to San Francisco for business so she told him to visit her sister Julia at the bar she works at. The moment he entered that bar and ordered a drink, they both knew it would be an exciting night. And that it was, full of flirting, passion and bondage. The plan was to have this be a no strings attached type of night....Is that possible after the night they experienced?
  
  Clay and Julia are amazingly hot! The chemistry is amazing and their shared passion for bondage adds to that. They also have the same type of humor...and I need that in a book!

  💞 NIGHT AFTER NIGHT
  I have read all of Lauren's books and have loved all of them. On that note...one thing I love is finding connections in her books, big or small. That is all, moving on. My weakness is a hot man in a suit and Clay is that Man. He is so much more than that though, he may look sexy in cufflinks but also knows how to use handcuffs whenever and wherever he wants. Lauren has stepped up the heat in Night After Night and it is smokin' hot!
  
  Clay and Julia had one very sexy night in San Francisco in First Night. In this novel they continue their no strings attached relationship after Clay invites Julia to New York for a steamy weekend. The passion and connection they have in the bedroom or anywhere the mood strikes is oh so sexy!! They are on the same exact page when it comes to those sexy times...bondage plays a part once again and I Loved it!
  
  It is not just all about sex with these two. They enjoy getting to know each-other better in and out of the bedroom. But they is still 3000 miles between them and issues that can get in the way. This book has the perfect mix of passion, humor and suspense!
  
  I highly recommend reading this book! Clay Nichols has is going to be finding a place in my Top 10 Book Boyfriends. I can't wait to read After This Night.

  💞 AFTER THIS NIGHT
  I love this Series!!! I have read all of Lauren Blakely's books and yes they are hot but this series is beyond steaming hot! It's edgy, sexy with a twist of sweetness.
  
  Clay and Julia could not stop thinking about the way they left things the morning in San Francisco. Clay wanted to trust Julia with all his heart and Julia wanted him to feel that he could but she wouldn't either. They were in deep after such a small about of time...they had it bad for each other and that is what happens when you connect in such an amazing way.
  
  When they see one another again the chemistry is explosive but can their minds catch up with their bodies? It's all about risks in the game of love....when you share passion and preferences is that all you need to move forward and the rest will come along. Trust. You need it and don't want to be played. That is what they both wanted to believe that they have found that in each other.
  
  After this Night has everything I love in a novel. The chemistry is amazing and anyone around them can see what they have, crazy passion for one another. An independent woman that doesn't just take the easy way out. A man that adores his woman. It has excitement outside of the bedroom....I cried, I laughed and I swooned all the way through.
  
  I highly recommend reading this series! Lauren is an amazing writer and how she entwines her characters together from other books is awesome! I love catching up with the other Blakely Boys and their lovely ladies.

  I tried to get into this series, I really did, but I just couldn't do it.
  I'm not sure why I didn't like it, the characters were alright and the sex was steamy but I was not nearly as excited to read this as other Blakely books (Big Rock, Mister O, Well Hung, etc).
  I think it may have been because it lacked the witty banter and fun that I adore in her other books. too much drama.
  So far, the only book by her I didn't really like.

  OMG...Lauren Blakely does it again!
  In First Night we get reacquainted with Clay (Davis Milo's Best Friend and Lawyer) and Julia (McKenna's sister and Bartender). If you thought Davis Milo had a dirty mouth/mind, wait until you meet Clay!! This short story was so hot it has all of us LB super fans begging for more of Clay and Julia.
  Night After Night:
  Where do I even begin with this review? Do I tell you how much I love Clay, because I do, I really do. Maybe I tell you how much I like Julia because she is secure in who she is and what she wants. I guess I could tell you how great the plot is. Perhaps I post a screenshot of my late night/early morning PM's to Lauren. Those are actually pretty funny. How we brought the conversation around to Jordan Catalano is beyond me, but that's a topic for another time.
  Let's start with the plot. Sure you have the awesome love story, the amazing sex and the revisits to characters from Lauren's other books, but beyond that Lauren has added suspense to this one. I won't get into describing it all, you'll have to read the book. What I can tell you is that I'm a huge poker fan and I love reading that aspect of the book. Then when the pieces of Julia's predicament start to fall into place, I couldn't help but wonder how she would get herself out of the situation and if she would ever be able to let Clay in
  while she was going through it. Will she even be able to make it through it?
  Julia is a strong, sexually confident woman who knows what she likes and isn't afraid to ask for it, nor is she ashamed about liking it. She likes sexy lingerie and she makes the best drinks on the West Coast. She's quite fabulous.
  
  "Let me get this straight. I'm being invited to the Big Apple for dinner, a movie and a little bondage?"
  "Then the answer is pick me up at the airport in a town car, handsome, because I'm going to be ready for all of that and then some as soon as I step of the plane."
  
  That warning you see about having spare panties...take it to heart.
  Clay's dirty mouth had me squirming in my seat!! In addition to the dirty talking from him, I wasn't expecting the emotions from him that were clearly present. At first, I was going to say he was a good blend of sweet & alpha but sweet is not an accurate description because he definitely doesn't come off as sweet. Genuine, that's the word I'm looking for. He is who he is and you can take it or leave it. He isn't an a-hole like a lot of the alpha's I tend to read about. He's protective and he's bold in the bedroom but he never showed any form of disrespect or pressure towards Julia. Lauren did a great job of making Clay's dirty talk come off as natural and not creepy. It never seemed force or contrived for the purpose of shocking me as a reader.
  
  "I love it when you use your hands like that. All over me. I want you all over me, your hands, your tongue. And your lips are so f***ing beautiful wrapped around my d**k."
  "F**k, Julia, you're going to make me come so hard in your mouth right now."
  
  Julia and Clay are a perfect match because their kinks come from a place of pure pleasure instead of from some sort of broken past. Together they are scorching hot!
  It's not just hot sex you get from their story though. Be prepared for suspense and intrigue. When you finish you'll be left with a craving for the next book to be released. Thankfully Lauren isn't making us wait for too long. (May 12th!!!)

  After This Night:
  How do I put into words the love I feel for this book? I can't even begin to tell you all of the ways in which I love Clay and Julia and how sad I am that their story is finished. Is it possible to get you to understand how much I Flove Lauren Blakely? This is where I brag that I got to beta read on this one, right? Because I totally did and I'm so grateful to Lauren for trusting me with that honor. Of course there wasn't much for me to do because the book was basically perfection right from the get go.
  Clay continued to melt my panties with his alpha-ness but this time around you really get to see him wear his heart on his sleeve. His protective and loving side really shined here. He is so kick ass when defending Julia's honor and well-being.
  Much like in the the first book and the prequel, Julia impressed me with her maturity and confidence. Julia is the epitome of a sexually assured, strong woman and I wish that I could read more women just like her in other romances.
  I love that Julia and Clay handled their problems in such a mature and thoughtful manner. There is no tantrums, fits or over-reacting with these two. It's why they work so well together. I wish that we could read about them forever and ever. Like I've said before, I'm sure we will get glimpses of them in future Blakely works so I can take comfort in that.
  This book was a perfect blend of romance, angst, sex and suspense, sending my emotions into overdrive. I highly recommend this to everyone that loves a well-written romance with a healthy dose of hot, hot lovin'.

  Lauren Blakely’s Seductive Nights series had a crashing effect on me. The mind blowing, scintillating, over bearing cosmic love affair between Clay Nichols and Julia Bell had my blood pumping directly to all the right places. The intensity between these two started from the get go and never ever let up. I savored each and every page.
  
  Julia is not only enthralling in Clay’s eyes but mine as well; her character was fierce. Never once letting up on her troubles, facing it head on with her chin held high. This amazed me as she hypothetically took the bull by its horns and owned that rodeo. Not only did I love that she chose not to become a victim throughout the entire series, but I was kissing the very ground she walked on because this woman had a sexual prowess made to elicit pleasure that was nothing less than what she knew she craved and deserved.
  
  Now enter Clay Nichols. Oh sweet baby Jesus… here comes Clay Nichols. This man made me feel things I haven’t felt since the likes of Brayden Carmichael from On Dublin Street, Christian Grey from FSoG, Travis Maddox from the Beautiful Disaster series, and Jesse “the Lord” Ward from the This Man series… So what I’m trying to say here is that Clay Nichols has become part of my most favorite Alpha Males in all book history. I was clearly taken aback by this… Not at all expecting that coming out of reading this series, I’d find to be adding on this very elite list. Lauren Blakely perfected his character—the right balance both in the literary world and real life. He was protective and domineering without the scary, stalker persona. How the author was able to portray that is extraordinary because quite frankly not many could ever in their wildest dreams pull off such a thing… Even some of those book boyfriends listed above didn’t have the semblance of the perfect balance. I was head over heels for him. I swooned over how much he truly loved Julia and his natural instinct to protect her without drowning out her own independent nature. The delicious things that not only came out of his mouth but also the many titillating things he’s able to do with the same mouth was sensational… The best dirty talker EVER… EVER! There were many loud gulps taken, many panty melting moments happening, and I ate all of it up. Like a starved person dropped smack dab in the middle of the best Vegas buffets around. I ate and I ate and I ate.
  
  The beauty of this series lay mostly in the profound chemistry between the two characters but what I also want to point out was how brilliant Lauren Blakely was able to mix romance and suspense together. The whole romantic suspense worried me when I read through the blurb but she completely shot down any worry I had as the plot continued to develop. She had just the right amount of mobster to keep the knots in my stomach going without it turning cheesy. Another aspect that I usually dislike in books is the 3rd person narration because many times I find it to be so robotic and boring, however this series once again trumped any of that worry. The pace was perfectly executed and the dialogue completely free flowing.
  
  A solid 5-star read for every one of the books in this series, truly I cannot say enough about them. My biggest regret in all of this is not reading this sooner. I highly, highly recommend this series and promise you all a sexy, exciting, and swoon worthy ride.

  I was hooked from the very first page. I really like having both main characters points of view. I loved all the details. I really like the chemistry between Julia and Clay. I loved that both Clay and Julia are very confident and dominate people.
  Absolutely loved the humor. This is a really great prequel to Night After Night. It was a very fast read but I loved it and I would highly recommend this novella.

  I like that the author didn’t change her writing style or the characters. They are still very blunt and honest with each other. Well they have their secrets but when it comes to the feelings they have for each other they are honest.
  
  I like that the issues that the characters have are different than any I have read. I like how this book seems real and believable.

And they'll learn just how much more there is to the intense sexual chemistry they share, and whether love can carry them well past the danger of her past and into a new future, after this night...
  
  It is very well written. The writing style has stayed consistent and that’s great. The characters are style honest and sure of their feelings for each other.
  
  The characters are blunt and I love that. You get more of the characters in this then you do in the others. I love that the Clay and Julia get even more passionate. I still like that they are both dominate lovers.
  
  I like that this story hasn’t made a drastic change. The story is still believable and it feels real.. I can feel the heat coming off the pages. I think that there is more details in this book then the other two, I'm loving this series and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

That's exactly what he did and boy did hot sparks and mad chemistry fly! Julia and Clay both have trust issues from their past and are down for just one night, but will that be possible?
  
  Night After Night: All I can say is Clay is one hot man! The chemistry between Julia, a sexy bartender, and Clay, a smoking hot lawyer, can't be denied! This book is terrific! Lauren has me wanting more, more, more! Read for May!
  
  After This Night: Could this book be any hotter? The answer is no! I could not put this book down. After This Night continues with Clay and Julia's story. The heat in this book will set you on fire! Clay is a good man among boys! This quote says it all. "Every woman should be jealous of you because of how I feel for you.   Writing review I had left on Amazon when I had finished..... I love this series! Clay is not a man trying to impress Julia with money. He's not messed up with a dark secret. Clay Nichols is an amazing character who you instantly fall for! He's perfect!
  I love that Julia is actually the one with a secret and it's not the man like in most books, but these give you something different. Usually it's the man or both, but Clay has nothing to hide he's honest, hot, sounds amazing in bed, and talks so dirty omg I love it! I have read almost every trilogy & I will say I think Clay tops the dirty talking category and the kinky things he does WOW!!! He's so damn hot & absolutely sweet too, a perfect combination of both at the right times! Julia is strong, independent, sexy, and actually gave me some ideas in the bedroom w/ my man lol I love it!
  I love this authors writing! I love this trilogy, couldn't put the book down I woke up every morning w/ the book laying on my chest.
  This is definitely on my top series list!
  I am now going to continue with the One More Night book & I know it's going to be just as amazing as the first three and I can't wait!

  I absolutely loved this series about Clay and Julia! They meet in Julia's bar where she is a bartender and owner. Clay is an entertainment lawyer and in California on business from New York. Sparks fly and one night of carnal bliss ensues. Both are surprised by their feelings as neither wants to be away from the other. They decide to attempt a long distance love affair. But there are secrets. Ones that can harm and destroy. How does our couple maneuver through these obstacles?
  This series just flew through my fingers as I didn't want to put it down! I loved the story and it had plenty of steamy scenes! Clay is just sex on a stick personified. If you enjoy a good love story with strong characters and great sex, then you will love this series too!You will be glad you did!

  4-star loved it. julia and clay meet in her bar in san fran and fall deeply in lust. he lives in ny. they have an all-nighter and weekend together and realize they have this insane sexual chemistry and definitely want to be together, but julia has a past that challenges her thoughts of being in a relationship with anyone. the story weaves her past and their hopeful future together quite nicely and kept me interested throughout. her life takes a positive turn when she decides to confide in clay. the story includes romance, hot sex, sticky situations, guns, bewilderment, and a hot man wanting to do anything for a woman he finds himself madly in love/lust with. i enjoyed the emails. they made me fall head over heels in love with clay.

  I love Lauren Blakely's writing! I admit it... I am a die hard fan! Everything I have read by her I have enjoyed and smiled all the way through. She comes up with the most unique plot twists and continues to surprise with every book. This book in particular plots a story you will not soon forget. Amongst spectacular fountains of water, Frank Sinatra crooning, gambling chips lose all over, and plenty of jewelry and bad guys, our couple has an unbelievable weekend in Las Vegas!

  Hot sex, hot lawyer, and a surprise twist from most books I have read lately as the woman is the one with the secret. I really enjoyed this plot and development of its storyline. It was thrilling and so unexpected. And I loved reading about such a strong female character. Julia is sexy, immensely fierce , feisty, determined and an overall badass but she's still vulnerable and fragile. Clay is sexually driven, masculine,loyal workaholic , sharp and has a heart of gold . A great combination together. Am also really happy there a continuation of their story!

  I have read a few other Lauren Blakely books and saw a lot about One More Night coming out July 8, so I had to get the trilogy to learn all about Clay and Julia. I loved this trilogy. Julia is a very strong independent woman who has had a tough past and some deep secrets and trust is a big issue for her. Clay being an entertainment lawyer has trust issues as well doesn't like liars. They have a lot of passion and heat and romance. Excellent series. Ready for One More Night now.

  I had high hopes for this series. I read no regrets and loved it. So I checked out this series by the same author and it had great reviews. I was so disappointed! I fell like she packed to book with hotness but shorted the storyline and character grow. The books move incredible slow. I would not recommend this series.

  I loved the chemistry between Clay and Julia. They were perfect for each other. Her ex Dillion really did a number on her and it was awful that she had to suffer the consequences of the relationship with a looser. She was strong and determined to get through it without asking for help. But then she met Clay and she realized it was ok to trust again and have someone on her side.
