My end-of-summer-break reading has taken a turn to the sexy... and this anthology was unexpectedly good. Variety of stories with femme dominants, several with butch bottoms - which isn't a common dynamic.
I like to put bookmarks on "favorite" stories/sections, and I got to the end of this one and realized I'd pinned more than half of them. Great odds, good collection. -
I'm only about a third of the way through, but I wanted to slow down my reading to savor this anthology because it's like nothing else I have on my shelves: complete, cover-to-cover femme dominance. Some of the stories work for me better than others, where the setting or dynamic or the right words from a domme just click and I'm in my happy space; in others the sex seems too cartoonish or the characterization is absent in favor of paint-by-numbers hookups (well, as paint-by-numbers as butch/femme femme dominant BDSM erotica can be). But the winners outnumber the duds, and are memorable enough to make this absolutely worthwhile to readers interested in f/f, BDSM, and/or femdom.
