Frank Dunster, as Helmsman of the Hayling Island Lifeboat, was decorated by the RNLI for bravery on several occasions. These days, he is the owner of Hayling Rescue, a well known professional Rescue Rib based in Chichester Harbour. His musings and reflections on his life as a Waterman and Rescue Patrol, are sometimes referred to as his 'Confessions', and have become required reading for his many Facebook friends. In these pages you will find a multitude of tips on how to stay safe on the water, tales of disaster and heroism, and of course the answers to many of life's mysteries such who is The Bishop? What is Jacques Cousteau up to these days? And what exactly is a Voodoophone? The first two years of Frank's musings are reproduced here, along with other replies and notes of thanks from some of the many grateful folk he has aided, advised, and on occasion rescued from the waves. With a map, and many photographs, this is a unique record of life on the waters around Hayling Island, as recorded by one of it's great characters.
