Fluttershy is my favorite character on my little pony. I have the whole collection plus rainbow rocks and threw the mirror equestria girls. Fluttershy and her bunny want to go to a pet fair but no one believes. It was not very long.

So freaking cute. I love my little ponies and these chapter books are great. Perfect for kids and hard core fans. :D futtershy is a total sweetie! This, like the others, would've made a really fun episode. And I think they were spot on with fluttershy's voice. I wonder if well see more of these or if they'll end now that each of the mane six have a story.
Its just a nice quick little read with a sweet plot and a lesson.
Fluttershys journal entry: "today I learned that when competing, the most important thing is to have fun. And not to worry so much about what I look like or others ponies may think. You just have to try your best."

A refreshing and encouraging read filled with a beautiful message to be who you want to be and to try new things.
Fluttershy’s name speaks for itself. She’s a shy pony but friendly to a fault which can cause some to take advantage of her. Talking a walk with Angel, her bunny one day leads them in front of a tent of performing bunnies. Unfortunately Angel’s hope to join are cut short but in an attempt to redeem himself, he tries instead to herd sheep’s like Applejack and Winona. They are an odd pair and with the help of their friends are able to learn the skill of herding.
Everypony is different and so are their needs and circumstances. Although it may seem like Fluttershy cheated in the competition, I would disagree. It makes sense to start small with what one is comfortable with. The effort, dedication and enjoyment is what makes one an accomplished winner in my opinion, and I felt Fluttershy displayed these qualities perfectly in this story.
The mane six are the best and I wish it were possibly to find such friends in real life. They are supportive, caring and always going one step ahead to help make things work. I was especially surprised by Rainbow Dash in this book. Although Rainbow Dash is the opposite of Fluttershy to a certain degree, she was the one encouraging Fluttershy the most.
I enjoyed this book for its display of emotions and strong message. Compared to the other books in this series, the message was clear and relevant to the pony so the connection was instant. Definitely recommended to anypony who needs a bit of encouragement and inspiration!

Wow. Okay, so I praise every single other book in this series for being an original story not in the show, and this book follows in that tradition. The authenticity of each pony's voice and the story really made me imagine this as a real episode of MLP playing out in my head. I love the adorable illustrations, Angel's attitude, the Mane Six's care for Fluttershy, and the morals that you can do anything as long as it makes you happy, whether you're as shy as Fluttershy, or people think you won't like they did with Angel Bunny. G.M. Berrow is such an amazing writer, I can't believe it.

Really cute story. We are really into my little pony in my house and so I found all the pony books for story time! Mommy can you please log out soon so we can read our book?! Such a great thing to hear him say! Love that he is soooo excited about these books!

So far the best book from these series (I read Trixie and Bon Bon ones). It was sweet, heart warming story and it wasn't much straight lined, so I genuinely had no idea where the story will lead. Nice.

3.5 stars. Another read-on-a-whim. I was curious how well-written these media tie-ins for the juvenile market are, and this one was better than I expected. The cartoon is very popular, and seems to translate well to books. I don't think this was adapted from an episode, I think it's an original story. The book had a bit of character depth--not a huge amount, but more than expected. The plot was cute and not entirely predictable--shy, animal-loving Fluttershy tries to boost her pet bunny's confidence. After being rejected by a traveling bunny circus, he decides he wants to enter a sheep-herding competition, and she doesn't know how to tell him bunnies can't herd sheep without hurting his self esteem. I thought the moral was going to be about finding what you're true gifts are that are unique to you. But it turned out to be perseverance, and how to overcome a lack of self-confidence.
Chapter headers have simple line drawings of Fluttershy, but I think it would have been better with color illustrations or as an episode, as there were good visuals but the descriptions weren't strong enough for me to picture things. For a fan of the series, I think this is worth reading, and it's a strong enough story to be worth a young reader's time. -

The moral is when you are worried about a competition, that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun.

My least favourite entry to the series. Angel decided that he wants to be a sheepdog so Fluttershy complied and entered herding contest with him. Basically they cheated, Yup, cheating. There's nothing to show kindness from Fluttershy at all.

Read with my ten year old daughter. These books are perfect for the tween age group. The vocabulary is a little challenging so it helps with comprehension and learning new words
