Brian Hatcher wants it all - control of the motorcycle club his father runs, the murderer of his best friend David six feet under, and, more than anything, David's sister Lisa.
He wants Lisa on the back of his bike, in his home, in his bed, and under the spell of his cold burn.
But, with Lisa unsure of the role the Iron Tornadoes played in her brother's death and her long-held goal of becoming a criminal prosecutor, what Brian wants may be nothing like what Brian gets.

Cold Burn (Iron Tornadoes MC #2) Reviews

  • Dawn Pressel

I despise this cliff hanger trap that more and more authors are doing...the buy the next book just to find another cliff hanger is just not for me. Sadly I like the books but not enough to continue the series at this time

If you haven't read Stone Cold, I would suggest you do before reading this book. You will have more of a background for the characters and will help with the story. I was gifted a copy of this book for an honest review.

Cold Burn starts about a year after Stone Cold ended. The story starts with Brian "Ice", and boy do you get a few surprises in the first couple of chapters. They were great surprises and I did not see them coming at all. (I hate posting spoilers, so sorry I'm being vague about what the surprises are, you'll just have to read the book).

The MC's protection company has him off to protect a rock star. He has no clue that Lisa knows the rocker and his brother, until she shows up at the concert. She is all beaten up and has an arm in a sling. Brian figures out why she was "mugged". But who can he trust to help him put all the pieces together. Is David really alive?

I really enjoyed reading this book. I did go back and reread Stone Cold first, because it's been awhile and after reading the first chapter of Cold Burn, I thought maybe I missed something in Stone Cold. But all the pieces and questions start to come together while reading Cold Burn. Great story, and I will keep reading books by Olivia.

Unfortunately, Cold Burn took the same route as Cold Stone and rushed us to another conclusion that left me scratching my head and wondering how we so quickly got to this spot. Granted, the book is under 150 pages, so the author needs to move the story along. But, again, I felt rushed to an ending of the story that left so many unanswered questions that I wondered how I got there. A bombshell was dropped about Lisa's brother and we get "she laughed" and then we moved onto something else.

  • Maddison Hoy

Was an interesting twist with David not really being dead.
Definitely interested to see how this series will be wrapped up.

Very very very hard to follow. Jumps a lot and just so jumbled. Is it mc or bdsm or police...just too much going on with no flow. I wanted to like it :(

  • Jennifer Mackechney

    Tease not worth 2.99

While I am enjoying the book its much to short to charge 2.99 for the what you get there's to much unanswered leaving me unwilling to buy the next one

These books are definitely written for readers who have always complained about an author who uses too many words and should just get to the point. Olivia has heard your cries and writes just for you guys. She doesn't set-up a plot, she just gives us a plot. She doesn't set-up the slow burn of a romance, the romance is just there. She doesn't conduct an investigation into the death of a cop, she just resolves....very neatly.
The audible books are quick and easy reads for those who are taking a quick trip down the road and want something entertaining to read. These are also good for those who are close to a reading goal but don't have enough time to read a 300 page book.
For me though.....when I can get the books for free, I will continue reading this series. Y

    Cold Burn

Have to say this series hooked me I like the characters and the storyline I'm looking forward to the third book. The Iron Tornadoes are not your normal run the mill bikers.

  • Debra (Dragon Nanny) Phiri

Loved it! Book 2 in the series just as great a read as the first! I love Brian and Lisa’s story!

What a great series to be reading and loving! The characters are so much fun to get to know! I am ready for more by Olivia!

    Enticing read

These stories are short and sweet but you are captured from page 1. Brian aka Ice is a complex character bad boy in public but with a sweet side to those he cares about. Lisa is fiesty and stubborn the 2 make a perfect combination.

  • Nicki

The saga continues for Brian and Lisa but this time it may be the MC involvement in her brother's death that ends them just as they reunite. Questions go unanswered and the plot thickens with every turn of the page. There is more to this story than at first glance. I cannot wait for more.

  • Annuccia Palmeri

  • Jamie Speck

These are very quick reads. I am enjoying the characters and the intrigue. Can’t wait for the next one

I know it's a good book when it isn't free on Kindle Unlimited. I read Iron Tornadoes MC #1 and then bought this one to finish this part of the story.

    ❤️.

Loved the rest Lisa and Brian “Ice’s” story. This book still leaves you wanting more and wanting the much needed answers to questions. I like that In a series.

  • Cassandra

    Awesome but short

I wish it was a little longer but it was a good story. I knew there was going to be twist. The twist wasn't what I expected.

I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

After I read Stone Cold (book one in the Iron Tornados MC series) I had made up my mind on what was to come in book two. I was certain I knew who was guilty, who was being truthful and who was lying. Well if that was you too I suggest you throw every one of those ideas out the window because Olivia Rigal managed to set my ideas to ashes.

When we left off in book one Brian and Lisa had finally gotten together (kind of). Brian was determined to get all the things he wanted in life. But three goals were the most important. He wanted to be president of his MC, he wanted to make the SOB's who killed his best friend pay, but most of all he wanted the love of his life (Lisa) by his side forever.

Throughout this book everything is questioned. Lisa is also determined to find out who killed her brother. Problem is she believes it was the Iron Tornadoes MC. Lies are revealed that can shatter or make the relationship that is blooming between Brian and Lisa.

Can he prove to her that he is the only man for her? Are they strong enough to battle what is coming?

This is a quick read and the storyline is pretty fast paced. We see some characters from another of Olivia's series as well.

Cold Burn is the second book in the Iron Tornadoes MC series. I would highly recommend reading this series in order as the main storyline runs through each book.

Cold Burn picks up the story line from Stone Cold although this one is told from Brian/Ice's POV.
As with Stone Cold, Cold Burn is again a nice quick read that is again full of intrigue and mystery to keep you guessing.

There were a few things that I had issues with. We got to meet Everest in book 1 (a love interest of Lisa), however, now he turns up and appears to be Brian's half brother. This just seemed to be brushed right through a little too quickly for me. I would again liked to have seen more from Lisa and Brian together, I felt that their relationship was a little skimmed over given it's their story. I would also say that we often get glimpses of Brian being into BDSM but again, it's just skimmed over. I feel this either needs to be explored and the sex scenes need to be a little steamier of we shouldn't really go into it.

That being said, I did enjoy Cold Burn and will continue with the story to see how it all plays out.

I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

    A sexy MC adventure!

Another action packed addition to the Iron Tornadoes MC series. Olivia Rigal writing is exceptional and just keeps blowing me out of the water with each reading experience!

Lisa and Brian face new challenges, more information about David's murder come to light, and the secondary character development is amazing as usual. This is one series I've become completely addicted to!

We learn more about how Brian got his nickname Ice and it's a scorcher! Lisa's character continues to develop and I love how she becomes more confident as the series progresses.

The ending didn't leave me hanging but there is SO much more coming that I am excited for!

This is one motorcycle series that's more than muscle, bikes and sexy women; it's got a fast paced storyline that packs a punch!

A copy of Cold Burn was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Learning new facets of the MC and the characters.
Second book of series and was as enjoyable to read as the first. If you haven’t read Stone Cold first this may be a little confusing at some points about some of the characters. But at the same time it’s not until this book does some of the connections come to light. If you have read Stone Cold first this is a great addition to the series. The story was well written and character interplay was good. This story had some new facets to the MC showing them in a new light. I like where the author seems to be taking them. I also like the development between Lisa and Brian. This book was entertaining and very enjoyable to read. I received an eBook copy from the author for purpose of an honest review and was not compensated.

Whereas in book 1 we were given a view of the story from Lisa's perspective, in this book we are now presented from Brian's. However the timelines are different. At this point, both Lisa and Brian are still seeking answers about her brothers death. The story revolves around trying to uncover what happened. The storyline again is fast paced and we got more insight into the main characters and why they 'do what they do'.

While there is no 'cliffhanger' type ending, there are still many loose ends and questions left unanswered. So again, be prepared. However, book 3 is what will wrap up the series.

Note: I was gifted a copy of the book by the author in exchange for an honest review.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Damn hot book. I could picture Brian clearly in my mind with Oliva's description of him. The chemistry between him and Lisa was fire hot. The dynamic of the MC intertwined with the local police force was well done also. I enjoyed seeing the dynamics of the MC interacting with the local community as well, taking some of the fear out of the MC's mystique. Not all MC's are bad to the core, some of them can do some amazing good for their communities. This club is one of them. The book flowed well and I couldn't put it down. It was a great read and I cannot wait to read more of Oliva's work. Great job!
