New York Times bestselling author Julia Kent continues her Shopping for a Billionaire series as mystery shopper Shannon and (near) billionaire Declan explore a relationship (and each other).
The pair deal with a jealous ex-boyfriend, a new perk at work that makes Shannon rethink her job, and a cat that offers up quite a present when Declan takes Shannon out for their first non-business date.

Not sure why these are all separate books, as they are so short this would usually piss me off. nI have to forgive it though cause I LOVE THIS STORY!!! I was meant to do so much today but found myself going back to the book every chance I got. I love the characters and all the crazy stuff that keeps happening.

Cannot be read as a standalone.
Haha! Shannon is a ball of craziness I can't get enough of. Her quirky friends and loud family are equally addicting.

Shopping for a Billionaire 2 (Shopping for a Billionaire, #2)
Review
Since the first installment was fairly well written, I thought I will continue the series and be amused by this rom-com. I was so wrong.
Some of the things I really adored
The cover is fun. That's all.
The problem:
Where do I begin?
1. The professional angle is minimum. The assignment Shannon gets this time is quite yucky.
2. Like the first one, the 'head-talk' has gone beyond the level of tolerance.
3. Shannon has a really annoying family, herself included.
4. Far too many references - of people, celebrities, writers, books, movies... Some identified, others I didn't. It was the weakest point.
5. This is not another book in the series. It is just like another episode - from first kiss to next in one book. How this book qualified for best-seller is beyond me.
Verdict
1.78🌟. Good bye Julia Kent. I ain't reading any of your books, not any time in near future. -
Julia Kent is my favorite author hands down she represents us curvy girls so freaking well basically saying just because your curvy doesn't mean your not sexy you are sexy and you could get attention from amazing hot men not just skinny chicks. Well this curvy girl in the book Shannon is my kind of girl she speaks her mind and she is hilarious and her family is even funnier reminds me of my family. They speaks there mind on any topic even sex my mom is just like Shannon's mother loves sex and talks about it like we are her girlfriends instead of her kids. But the thing with Shannon she got broken up by her ex Steve because she didn't fit what he wanted his women to be but once he sees her with Declan he will not stop calling her and her family. He wants her back because if she's good enough for a billionaire then she good enough for him. He's a disgusting piece of crap he talked so down to her and took some of her confidence with him when he broke up with her so when Declan wants to see her and wants her she doubts it because of what Steve did to her.
Julia Kent is an amazing writer and her books never disappoints me and this book didn't disappoint me either I can't wait for the next installment of this series. This book is funny as hell, sexy, and represents for us curvy women. -
My Opinion:
I totally enjoyed this second in the series. Julia picks up where we left off with Shannan and Declan and their hysterical romance. Between her mother and sisters, you will be holding your sides with laughter. We get to see more of Shannon's family in this book and more of her coworkers. When you get to the part about the cars, wear a diaper. You will need it! It's just that funny. I totally enjoy this series and I am so glad that I started reading them. I have the third in the series and have listened to it as well. Shannon's ex is up to no good and she has such witty comebacks and the jerk doesn't even realize it. Shannon and Declan are delicious and I can't wait to eat more up of them!
Have fun with this series and enjoy it. It is just a fun and entertaining read. I totally enjoy the narrator and can't wait to read more!
I give this book 5 of 5 Stars! -

I liked how much chemmistry they had. I enjoyed it! Sometimes it felt a bit fast and to good to be true, but then the perk of the job came and that was when I cringed. I don't know what I would do if my boss would suggest that.. Maybe I would..
Even though I did enjoy these 2 parts that I've read I'm not continuing this series, because for me it was finished.. I know it didn't actually finish, but for me it was enough. I wasn't that into the story to really buy all 13 or 15 parts (that I've read at the end.) That would be dragging it on for to long..
Don't hold it against me. I have lots of other books I want to read and I want to read and enjoy my books. I don't want them to feel like an obligation. -
This next part of the story had some really good pop culture quotes and references. For example, loved the Glee references, Caddyshack, and even Ivan Denisovitch bit. That last one is a book the students at my school read every year for their summer reading, so it was funny to hear a book I’d never even heard about until I got here be referenced like that. Not to mention there was a hilarious tampon joke in the story as well. Once again, I’d wished it was longer!

Yep, this one was just as good as the first. I enjoyed the escapism and easy reading. Again, this one ends with the promise of more, however although the first two were good to read, I don't want to know what happens next so much that I'll pay for the next 13 in the series!! :) these were free on my kindle, and I'm glad I downloaded them, but that's as far as I'll go.
A good book to pass the time, have a laugh out loud and generally enjoy a quick read. Definitely recommended.

Pure enjoyment. My only complaint was not much Declan and I needed some Declan/Shannon time alone so bad. Loved the scene where Shannon's company got these weird cars, it was hilarious.
"It's 2:13 in the afternoon and all I can think about is getting home so I can veg out and cyber-stalk Declan. I've only made it to page twenty-three of my Google search.
Shannon is so weird, but I love her <3333 -
Still cute. Still quirky. Someday I will have money to buy the rest of the series. * dramatic sigh *
-
Completely unbelievable in places, but still kinda cute. It’s mostly the mother I take issue with. The rest is over the top but still funny.

In this installment of the romance between our heroine and hero, the couple take some time to fall in love. They learn more about each other and flesh out as more interesting characters. We also get more time with the side characters and get set up for their stories.
Great story!! -
Why is this a separate book?

Shopping for a Billionaire - Part 2
3.5 Stars
Series note: The 2nd installment in the serial.
Shannon Jacoby's hilariously funny adventures in mystery shopping and dating a billionaire continues.
Shannon's family is a laugh riot, and it is worth listening to the book simply for them. The romance with the gorgeous Declan McCormack is an added bonus.
My one small caveat is Shannon's continued angst over her ex-boyfriend whose actions come across as creepy and stalkerish. She really needs to cut him loose ASAP.
Looking forward to seeing what happens in the next installment. -

4/5 stars
I've noticed that the main problem with this series isn't a problem that only appears in these books, but in most ebooks I read. It seem as though as soon as the book starts, it's over.
I thought the whole gimmick thing with Shannon and her coworkers getting the gag company cars was funny and original. And the chemistry between her and Declan is on point.
She could stand to chill out just a little and not become a complete horny schoolgirl whenever he so much as looks at her, but other than that they're cute.
And her getting ready for her date with the family and him being there was just one hilarious hot mess. Hopefully the next one will start with a bang and pick up right at the start of their date so I'm excited. -
I love Julia Kent's books so much I can't bring myself to give her anything lower than 3 stars but after this book I'm truly tempted. I read part one of course and that also felt unfinished but I figured since it was in a box set it was just a teaser. This series is so overly descriptive with one liners and other characters butting in that it takes away from the progression of the relationship between Shannon and Declan.
If I wasn't such a fan of the author I would have given this 1 star. Truthfully I will get the next installment because I'm already two books in and this series has to get better and move faster. -
This book is hilarious. Half dead mice, a mother with no filter, a turd car, and "period Jammie's"... I laughed the whole time. Julia is known for her quirky characters, but it's always the secondary characters that really have me coming back. The mom is nuts and over the top, but so caring. I love the book and can't wait for the next.

Read all four novellas in one sitting. There’s a huge fan club on a B & N thread who love this author and find her hilarious. It wasn’t really my cup of tea. The mother was wildly inappropriate with her boundaries and rather than find her endearing, I found her obnoxious. Either in the third or fourth book, when Declan does an aboutface, I was thoroughly confused. As the story went along, the editing got sloppier and the whole caper became very Jerry Lewis slapsticky in a way that didn’t appeal.

Ohmyfreakinggog!!!!! Julia Kent is brilliant!!! I can’t stop reading this series!! I’m dying 😂😂
-
This is a quick, fun read that continues the interesting relationship growing between Shannon and Declan.

Too much inner monologue

idk these aren’t good but I’m so invested now

This just keeps getting better and funnier! Shopping for a Billionaire 2 follows where we left off with Shannon and Declan: in a hot as hell make out session in a restaurant hallway. Did I say it was hot? Because it really, really was.
The following morning things are not so hot for Shannon though. With a hangover and an incredibly clingy ex who suddenly seems to want her back, she needs to navigate her crazy mother, get over her hangover and go to work. And things keep getting more absurd from then on.
Shannon is as funny as ever, and Declan just as charming. What totally won me over was the fact that he is completely smitten by Shannon’s quirkiness despite her we’ll-make-everything-as-awkward-for-you-as-we-can-but-we-love-you family and friends. Shannon’s insecurities as to why someone like Declan would be with someone like her still bugged me, but we begin to see some changes in her confidence and attitude towards certain things. Mainly the obnoxiously clingy turd of an ex.
With lots of hot kisses, general tom-foolery, the meanest cat ever and more hilariousness than one book should be permitted to carry, I absolutely adored Shopping for a Billionaire 2. I’ve still haven’t gotten my Declan PoV but I’m having too much fun to really complain. Now onto the next part… I can’t wait to see what happens in their upcoming outdoors date. There’s just too much potential for ridiculousness.
This is part 2 of a 4 part story. There’s a collection now with the 4 books together.
