Half-Moon Ranch
Somewhere in the lush grasslands of the Texas hill country was a place where the sun had once shone on love and prosperity, while the night hid murder and mistrust. There, three brothers and a sister fought to hold their family together, struggled to keep their ranch solvent, while they awaited the return of the one person who could shed light on the secrets of the past. Brent
With his father about to come home after ten years in prison, the last thing Brent Hunter needed was woman trouble. And beautiful Crystal Stewart was trouble with a capital T. What else could you call a hellion who had to be rescued from one scrape after another, even carried out of a rowdy saloon? But an incredible night of wild loving convinced the man who always did right that sometimes a little wrongdoing added a whole lot of spice to life.

    Wow!

Bobbi Smith was one of the first historical romance authors I read. Hunter’s Moon reminded me of why I loved her books. It is a wonderful story with action and romance. It’s not as racy as modern books. This is actual romance! I highly recommend this book.

With beautiful classic characters and an engaging plot line, readers won’t be able to put down this wonderful happily ever after love story set in the old west.

Oh dear. I think if I would have read this book 25 years ago when I first started reading HR in my late teens, I would have loved it. But after all of the newer authors (Tessa Dare, Julia London, Lisa Kleypas, etc) with their style and twists to the more recent HR, it was hard to not find this book as corny, corny, and corny. I repeated that a few times, as in fashion of how this story was written. In one paragraph, a thought was repeated several times. At first, I found it a very juvenile, dumb-down style of reading... but then I got to thinking maybe the author did so as page fillers. You know, to make sure that she had a good 4-5 sentences to make a proper paragraph. Anyway, I lost interest in the story after stopping so often to tell myself, 'how corny'.

I LOVED Brent's & Crystal's story (Hunter's Moon) and Abby's and Jonah's story (Moon Racer) the best from the four books. I love the whole series (1. Hunter's Moon (Brent & Crystal), 2.Renegade Moon (Quince & Glory) 3. Moon Racer (Abby & Jonah) 4. Dark of the Moon (Matt & Juliana). But theirs were my absolute favorites in the saga.

I love this series, but it will take a few different authors to get them all. It does sort mess up my library list sometimes. I put them all together instead of with the alphabetical author way. But they are good!

  • Danielle Long

It's the first of 4 books based on a family of four siblings: 3 brothers and their baby sister. I thought it was well written for a romance novel.

I like this book. People should read this book. I am thinking of getting the next book to now what going to happen to this people. So I want people to read it if they hadn't read this book ok.
