Kendra is a young reality tv producer who approached Sully with an offer to be the bachelor on her reality show. Sully though , has zero interest in being on the show. Sully,instead focuses all of his interest on Kendra. As an alternative Sully is offered a position as the head coach for an all women’s hockey team.There is catch ,he will have to be on a reality show documenting his new coaching position as well his dating life. The kicker in all this …Kendra’s the producer, who can’t mix business with pleasure. Can Sully work professionally with his perfect 10?
Sloane knocked this one out with excellent banter, loads of tension, and hot AF spice. This would wouldn’t be a Sloane St.James book without some new kinks. She has become the queen of unlocking new kinks . The girls on the hockey team are all amazing characters. I’m hoping to see more from them in this series. Especially Joey…she reminds me of Mickey.

I’m so excited to finally get Sully’s story. It was so good, I couldn’t put it down. Kendra and Sully has crazy chemistry right from the beginning, and I was rooting for them throughout the whole book. Sully is literally the sweetest book boyfriend ever. I can’t wait for more books from this series!

Everything about Sully had me falling in love with him even more! Sloane, this was literally everything I could have hoped for in his book!! The minute this ARC dropped into my email, I knew I’d be reading it in one sitting! Sully & Kendra’s storyline is so good and the tension, the spice, the f**king daddy kink - sheeesshhhh it was HOT 🥵. Sully has a filthy mouth and is so deliciously perfect! But all the sweet little gestures he does for Kendra had me swooning even harder! They are so perfect together!
I’m so excited to see where this new series takes us with the women’s hockey team, The Rogues!

The accidental pregnancy trope is one of my least favorites to read, but when it's done right it can be fantastic. Sloane has done it right and I could not put this book down. I haven't read a book from Sloane that I haven't loved. Coach Sully is the first book of the Rogues Hockey series. I have been looking forward to Sully's book since the beginning and this was everything, I hoped it would be.
Sully is a retired NHL player that is tired of the dating scene. He has watched all of his friends fall in love and find their "person" and he wanted that more than anything. Kendra approached him about being on her reality dating show, but he adamantly refused. He was looking for real love and he doesn't like having his personal life in the spotlight. Once the show was off the table, he found himself drawn to Kendra and they'd hit it off. She was the first woman to capture his attention in a long time. He felt something special with her and did not want to let her go. One night was never going to be enough for him and nothing would stand in his way.
Kendra is a young producer for a media company, and she's been trying to make a name for herself. After Sully refused the reality dating show, her boss came up with another show idea and made Sully an offer he could not refuse. The new contract made their relationship totally off limits and made Sully the new coach of a professional womans hockey team. Kendra tried to keep things professional, but Sully was determined in his pursuit of her. Their secret affair led to Kendra's pregnancy & a lot of complications arose. Sully only has eyes for Kendra, and he will do anything to protect her and their baby.
I loved Sully's persistent pursuit of Kendra. He was honest with her and showed his affection for her openly and often. I didn't love the secrecy from Kendra because Sully had been so kind and open with her, but I could see why she feared telling him the truth. I really enjoyed the dynamic between Kendra and Sully, and I loved that we got to see characters from the Lakes Hockey series!

From that first interaction both Kendra and Sully had me eating out of the palm of their hand. Spice at 8%? Thank you Sloane, thank you 🙏🏼 phenomenal as always.
You don’t like a certain trope/micro trope? I can 100% guarantee Sloane will get you to change your tune.
These characters were just everything and more! Kendra is so driven and smart and just brilliant! Sully is passionate, caring, giving and so dirty delicious 🤤 he only has eyes for Kendra which makes the filming of the reality show about him a struggle because he needs her more than air, but the show is putting a barrier between them.
And once they find out their worlds are going to be changing and he goes into protective dad mode.. argh I can’t fault him. The hair washing scene will have you swooning!
He puts Kendra and their baby above all regardless of what the consequences may be!
I loved we got a good amount of Barrett and Raleigh, they are my favourites from the Lakes Hockey series!
There are so many good characters introduced in this book which makes the build up to the rest of the series so freaking exciting! I can’t wait for what’s next! -

Holy H.E.🏒🏒 this book was FIRE! I don't even know where to start with this one! First of all, the writing is fracking fantastic. I've been following Sloane St. James since her first book; she started off great, but her writing is really next-level at this point. Great storyline - it starts off with a bang and just doesn't let up for the entirety of the book. The banter is top-notch and had me literally laughing out loud on multiple occasions. But really, it's the characters that hook you and keep you there; you just get so invested in their outcomes. I've wanted a "Daddy" Sully book since he was first introduced, and Sloane certainly delivered everything I was hoping for and then some. He is a protector and a nurturer and was all-in from the beginning. I LOVED Kendra for him. She brightened his life, was driven, and full of sass and snark. The chemistry between them was off the chain from the first glance, and their smexy times should come with a warning. Absolute fire. I am so excited for this new series and the introduction of the girls on the team made me that much more excited for what's to come. This book is definitely going in my Best of 2024 pile - HIGHLY recommend!

And what a little treat from Sloane to have this start at 9% in!
This story follows Kendra Ames (a film producer) and Lee ‘Sully’ Sullivan (retired Lakes Ice Hockey captain). They meet because Kendra needs a new star for her dating show and Lee just happens to be a hot. single. absolute stud of a man.
Of course, in true Sloane fashion… we get treated to a hot, steamy, one night stand. Here comes “Yes, Daddy” and “Harder, Daddy” 🫦
“Almost, baby. Give your daddy one more …” 🥵
However, with Kendra’s job’s strict “non-fraternising” policy. It was supposed to end there…

Sully has been a favorite since Barrett’s book - their friendship was always just so amazing to me. Never in a million years did I think that Sully would be on a dating reality show! The idea was one I had never read and now I will be searching out more books with a similar story line. Kendra being a hard working driven career woman was so refreshing - she knew what she wanted to accomplish and how to get there.
Her pregnancy ups and downs were so real and relatable and you couldn’t help but love her 🩷 Sloane way to bust out another 5⭐️ book can’t wait for the next one (please tell me I get to read about Whit 😉) -
Sully has been such a highly anticipated character for me and I was so excited to have the privilege of working with Sloane again on his book! I was so obsessed with these two, SO invested in them individually and together and I just loved them so much.
I’ve loved Sully since ‘Before we came’ and he just blew me away. He’s like a cross between Barrett and Banksy, the ultimate “Daddy” turned “Daddy”. He fell so hard and fast for Kendra, I loved his protective, caretaking nature as well as his filthy mouth! Also so obsessed with Kendra, she’s one of my favourite Sloane FMCs. She was so driven and sassy. I loved this about her. Her and Sully had insane chemistry, they tried so hard to play by the rules. They were incredibly supportive of each other, and I loved how their happy ending played out.
There were so many special moments in this book and I know the blood, sweat and tears that went into this book. I’m so excited to see where Sloane takes these Rogue girls, and hopefully catch more glimpses of Sully and Kendra!

If the goal of this book was to make me fall completely in love with Sully, then mission accomplished. We all asked for Sully's story, and it absolutely did not disappoint. I am a sucker for sports romance stories, but add in an age gap and a filthy-talking MMC...I'll cancel all of my plans to read it. I devoured this story and could not get enough of Sully and Kendra.
We met Lee “Sully” Sullivan in the Lakes Hockey series. He is now living a retired (and lonely) life. Enter Kendra Ames. She is a reality dating show producer and is looking for a new bachelor. When they meet, sparks fly, and they spend an amazing night together. Does Sully want to be on a reality dating show where he has to spend time with other women? Nope. He would rather spend his time with Kendra. When Sully is told an opportunity to be the coach of a new women's hockey team is tied to his participation in the show, he decides to go with it. His plan? Once the show is over, he's going back to Kendra.
Sloane SLAYED! This story is so good! Sully and Kendra's chemistry was palpable, and I loved them together. From their first meeting, I was LOCKED IN. Kendra is strong, independent, driven, smart, young, and trying to make a name for herself in a tough industry. I love that Kendra is an old soul. Sully is absolute perfection. He is passionate, caring, observant, and sweet. The mouth on this man! Whew! He fell hard for Kendra, and I ate it up. The way he took care of her made me melt. I loved how he didn't run away when their lives changed. He stepped up and was ready to take on the new responsibilities. He made his family a priority. I didn't know I would love Sully so much, but I am now obsessed. Daddy Sully, indeed. I loved the dynamic between Sully and Kendra and rooted so hard for them.
This book is a great start to the new Rogues Hockey series. It has diverse characters and a great balance of tension and romance. I look forward to reading more about this new women's hockey team and getting to know the characters in this series.

I have been highly anticipating Sully’s story since the beginning and Sloane did not let me down. I read this in one sitting and could not put this down. I am obsessed with these two. They had crazy chemistry since the beginning. Every interaction they had I was grinning so big. I just love them! I will say that if you have read the Lakes series this one is a lot different than that series, but still has all the same great writing and story-telling that I have come to expect from Sloane.
This story follows Sully and Kendra. Sully is recently retired from the NHL and Kendra is trying to get her big break as a TV producer. She has a dating show she is pitching but after the main guy drops out she tries to get Sully to fill the role. After some sly contract work that does not involve Kendra, Sully is the star of his own reality TV show.
AHH!! Where do I even begin with Sully. He falls fast and hard for Kendra and I love how he immediate turned into a golden retriever for her. He was soo swoony he had me giggling and kicking my feet. Not to mention the panty melting words that would come out of his mouth! PHEW!!! He is such a DADDY and it was delicious.
Him and Kendra had insane chemistry. He was so supportive of her and what she wanted and supported her in every way!
Loved seeing Sully transition from player to coach. Loved seeing the Rogues women’s hockey team. It makes me so excited for all of their stories.

Let’s start with the need to know, shall we? Lee Sullivan is a god. This man is absolute perfection. Are you looking for an MC who is kind, caring, sweet, filthy, dirty, gritty, passionate, and just all round hilarious and delicious? He was made for you. Made for us.
We know Sully from the Lakes Hockey Series, he’s since retired from hockey, and is living his lonely retired life when he’s asked (forced) to do a reality show of his new adventure coaching the newly formed women’s hockey team, the Minnesota Rogues.
The problem is, he only has eyes for one woman, Kendra Ames, and he doesn’t want to even pretend to date anyone else, because once all this is over? He’s coming back for her.
Kendra is brilliant. She’s young, but she’s smart, driven, and I really loved seeing her take care of business. She knows what she wants, and he goes after it! Even after finding out her world (and Sully’s) is about to change forever. Does she give up her career, or does she keep this secret for as long as possible to save them both the heartache of having to choose?
Back to Sully.. I will never stop talking about this man. He LEARNS HOW TO WASH HER HAIR FOR HER. HE WATCHES A YOUTUBE VIDEO SO HE CAN DO IT RIGHT. Seriously 🤯🥹 sweetheart. And yes, he’s “Daddy” but he’s also the best Dad. I swoon so hard for a man who loves his family with everything he is and puts them above all.
Sloane, she changed the Accidental Pregnancy Trope for me with this one. If they were all like this? Well, sign me up! Because this book was everything I could have asked for. I had no idea I would end up loving them as much as I did.

I wish I could have recorded the audio of my squeal when I got this ARC email - after absolutely devouring Stand and Defend in less than 24 hours I was desperate for my next Sloane St James fix! Our NICU’s Summer of Smut book club went a little feral over the entire Lakes Hockey Series so I couldn’t open this book fast enough.
This was so much fun - the spice is fantastic, there is an age-gap, a forbidden romance and accidental pregnancy tropes - with a little reality TV twist. There are little glimpses of former Lakes Hockey characters and I also really loved the female hockey team and getting to know those players a little bit. Kendra was such a badass main character and I loved her insistence that a woman can be a mother AND also have a successful career. Sully was was more than I could have imagined - falling first and falling HARD and I couldn’t get enough of the possessiveness 🥵
I CANNOT wait for the rest of this series and really hope we see more of the Rogues hockey team - hoping for some more of Joey, Delta (IYKYK) & Cori! -
I literally devoured this book within hours. Sloane’s books get better and better. The story and the chemistry between Sully and Kendra was off the charts. Also the spice was realllly spicing in this book! She notches it right up with every book she writes. It was also a great introduction to professional women’s hockey and I enjoyed that aspect of the book and the insights into it. I’m looking forward to the upcoming books in this series! Another masterpiece, Sloane! 👏🏻👏🏻

I’m seriously convinced that Sloane never misses. This book was unreal and full of spice, humor, and angst. It had me wanting more the second I started reading. 👏🏼
Kendra was such a lovable FMC. She is a certified badass, driven, professional woman who knows what she wants.
Lee Sullivan aka Sully aka Coach aka “Daddy”🥵 is dreamy. I loved his character so much and literally ran to add him to my list of top book boyfriends 😅 couldn’t help it. He is swoony and so obsessed with Kendra. After going on endless bad/ lame dates Sully is about ready to give up on finding someone that actually is the full package until he meets Kendra. The only problem is he meets her under different circumstances than a normal date, it’s a business meeting. A business meeting that changes everything. 😍👏🏼🫠
The spice is spicing right from the get go. The banter between the two is top tier. I loved getting to know the characters and loved how the characters from the Lakes Hockey Series were sprinkled throughout the book as well. Sloane killed it with this book, not like I’m surprised. Immediately add to your TBR and then thank me later 😘

We finally get Sully's story 👏👏👏
Sully has decided to take a break from dating when he is approached to take a meeting for a new dating show. There, he meets Kendra, the young, driven, beautiful producer. They instantly feel a spark, and when he declines the show, they decide to act on their intense chemistry. Things get really messy when his new head coaching gig has a big twist in the contract.
The way Sully takes care of Kendra from the start had me swooning. Kendra was a breath of fresh air with her old soul and protective tendencies.
To be honest, I am not a fan of the daddy kink or accidental pregnancy. I was worried I was going to absolutely hate this book. Leave it to Sloane to write these tropes in a spellbinding way.

One thing for sure is, if Sloane writes it, I’m going to read it.
I really enjoyed the story of Sully and Kendra, they had me hooked from the start with their connection. I honestly do not mind an accidental pregnancy trope and Sloane certainly did it well! I was sad when the book ended but excited for the rest of the series, you get a small glimpse at some potential future storylines!
Sully was all man let me tell you. One minute you’re swooning from his sweet ass gestures with Kendra and then the next minute you’re left mouth open gasping from his diiirrrty talk 🫣 Always the quiet ones right?! And Kendra, career boss of a FMC. Girl knew what she wanted and handled everything so well. You forgot how young she was with her maturity.

Sully felt so different compared to previous characters from Sloane St James and reading him felt so serene
He was a very laidback, lax, and levelheaded MMC.
Kendra was a breath of fresh air and absolutely wonderful. I love that she had an old soul and it was shown through her love of music and the comfort in her home.
Their love felt so easygoing and tranquil very early on. It was a change of pace but in the best way.
Ofc, there is still that hot as hell Sloane St James spice & LOTS OF DADDY.
We got glimpses of some of the lakes hockey players from her previous Lakes Hockey series and glimpses of what’s to come later in the Rogues series…

Phew, y’all! This one has been one of my most anticipated reads of the year, & COACH SULLY DID NOT DISAPPOINT😮💨🥵 Sloane St James delivered, as she always does! She’s a one click, doesn’t need a title or blurb, nada, & I’m buying it author for me💯
This one has a strong story, a fierce female lead, & a sweet but filthy mouthed man! GAH BLESS IT, Sully is THAT MAN🥵
Kendra is one of my favorite female characters from Sloane, she is so driven, interesting, & she knows what she wants from her career, even if she doesn’t love the steps to get there.
Sully (aka DADDY) is delicious! He & Kendra had that insane chemistry from the jump, & he could be so sweet with her but then also turn on that feral & filthy side which was HOTTTTT! Melt my kindle hot! 🥵
It was so fun getting that transition from him playing to retired to new opportunities, & not gonna lie, the dating experiences cracked me up! Hawaii & Alaska😂😂 (IYKYK). His interactions with his team were great too, I cannot wait for those women’s books!!
And I don’t care what anyone says, I love a surprise pregnancy trope! Throw in a man who is feral for his woman, & it’s SO GOOD! I couldn’t get enough of Sully wanting Kendra at all times!

I knew I was going to love Sully but WOW did Sloane deliver with his FMC! Kendra, like most of Sloane’s female leads, is a badass and I absolutely adored her! She’s young, determined and so damn smart. It’s no wonder Sully fell head first for her. Sully + Kendra had such chemistry that I could practically feel it radiating out of my kindle while I read.
Sully gives everything we could have wanted and more. I knew he was going to impress me but 🥵🥵🥵 Let me just say this—the man knows how to f*ck. He likes it rough and likes keeping his girl on the edge of her seat (emphasis on the edge).
I cannot wait for the rest of this series. You are going to LOVE these new characters! I’m praying that we get Delta and Whit’s story because I need answers!!😂

Ever since Lee “Sully” Sullivan was first mentioned in the Lakes Hockey series I needed his story and I am SO happy we got it. This was such a fun, beautiful and steamy read! Kendra is such a strong, beautiful character. She’s independent and career focused and I admired the way she handled herself throughout this story and the situations that emerged. Then there’s Sully who’s caring, protective, loyal and deliciously dirty. He’s not afraid of his feelings for Kendra and is so steadfast in them. His love language was acts of service and the things he did for her, even small, had me melting for him constantly. Then when he went into full protective dad mode? Prepare yourself to swoon.
I adored the dynamic between them right from their first meeting. Sloane writes some of the best banter and it was here again between these two. I was smiling like a loon throughout. I loved how their relationship developed throughout the story and the way they became a team. Then the chemistry? WELP! If you’ve read Sloane’s books you know she writes some incredibly filthy hot spice and she’s delivered again here.
We get cameos from previous characters, particularly Barrett and Raleigh which I really enjoyed. The friendship and dynamic between them was amazing, especially the friendship Kendra developed with Raleigh.
This book marks the start of a new series and introduces us to the Rogues Hockey team, coached by Sully, setting us up for another amazing series. There are some really fun characters here and I’m looking forward to see where it goes! -
All the Lakes Hockey girlies have been patiently waiting for Sully's story, and Sloane DELIVERED.
This story was DELICIOUS and I ATE.IT.UP. It also sets the tone perfectly for the rest of the Rogues Hockey series where we get to know our PWHL players for the Rogue. And let me tell you, I can already feel that it's going to be a wild ride just based off of some of the characters we met (*cough, Joey Breck, cough*). I cannot WAIT to hear each of the women's stories as the series continues. Nothing like showcasing some boss ass hockey player girls - we love professional women's sports, don't we?
Now back to Sully - my man. It's always the quiet, professional, reserved guys that will shock you. And that's exactly what Sully did - WHEW the MOUTH on that man. Couple that with his nurturing side towards Kendra and I was SOLD. Their chemistry was explosive from the moment Sloane introduced them.
Not only did Sloane give us the Norwegian hockey god that is Coach Sully, she also gave us Kendra - the badass producer with a take no shit attitude. I'd love to be friends with Kendra in real life. Girl seems so freaking cool, and not only that, but she's hardworking, accomplished, driven, courageous, and brilliant, all at the young age of 23. We need more Kendras in the world, please and thank you.
This story really had it all. I was nervous it would be a little "bachelor-esque" but it wasn't. Like AT ALL. It showcased Sully as the new head coach for the Rogues women's hockey team, it introduced us to a lot of the characters I have a feeling we'll get to know more intimately as the series progresses (I'm looking at you, Whit and Delta), and last but not least, it brought the HEAT. It's no secret Sloane is one of the queens of hockey romance and spice, and she absolutely crushed it with the tension and heat between Sully and Kendra.

Wow where do I even start? This book was draw dropping deliciousness 💕 Another amazing book from the very talented Sloane St James. After reading the lakes series I was dying for more about our boy Sully and man did Sloane deliver! Lee, "Sully", Sullivan is a retired NHL captain from the Minnesota Lakes 🔥. Sully is the smoke show, laid back, protective MMC who is looking for his future person and a new career path after retiring from the NHL. Kendra, baby girl, Ames is the sweetest, loveable, creative and beyond intelligent FMC 🌹. Kendra is looking to make big moves in her career as a producer, and she has her eyes set on Sully to help make that happen. Little does she know, Sully only has eyes for Kendra 😍.
Kendra and Sully's story is nothing short of wholesome and downright spicy from the start. I loved the instant attraction these two had with eachother. The pride, joy and respect their relationship had was so heart filled, I couldn't get enough. When the story goes from "yes, Daddy" to "You're going to be a daddy" was the icing on the cake 😉.
We got some moments with previous characters from the Lakes series and also introductions to new ones, who were absolutely awesome, for the future Rogues series 🤘🏼🏒! As a female who grew up playing high levels of hockey, I am beyond excited to see where the Rogues series will take us! Thank you so much Sloane for the ARC, being on your street team has been the best 🫶🏼 And shout out to your PA's for all the amazing work they've done through this process! 💞

SLOANE IS BACK!! We have been waiting for this since the end of The Lakes series and it did not disappoint! Sully was developed in The Lakes series and we were feral for him. I was hoping he would live up to the hype and ooooo boy did he ever! Man is H-O-T HOT! And Kendra matches his energy perfectly! She is spunky and fierce and knows what she wants. But when these two come together, we get some really sweet, tender moments that show us a different side of them which I loved. But then in Sloane fashion, she cranks that heat back up to 110° and brings us right back to smutville! This is the spiciest book I’ve read in a while! And i absolutely loved every second. Who’s next?!

Hello Daddy Sully!!! This book is soooo hot and spicy. Sloane St. James is soooo incredible at giving you such an amazing heartfelt story, but also melting your entire soul. I was fanning myself throughout this entire book. Sully as a man, Sully as a coach and Sully as a partner is EVERYTHING!

Thank you to Sloane for giving us Sully. The moment I met him in her other books I was crossing my fingers and toes he would get a book and here we are and it is a GREAT one!!! Sully is retired and looking for more. When an opportunity arises to coach the women’s professional hockey team he is psyched and so up for the challenge. But this comes with one stipulation, he needs to be the star of his own bachelor type dating show. Nothing something Sully would ever want! The Producer, Kendra tries to convince him how amazing this will be, and yet, the only thing sounding amazing about all of this to Sully is working more with Kendra.
Sparks fly, I mean there were fireworks pouring out of this book! I did not, nor could I put this down. We get humor, swooning, great banter and again spice times a million, daddy kink anyone?!!! I am not big into the secret baby trope, however, this secret didn’t last very long and the inner monologue was soooo relatable of what the characters were feeling/going through, I loved it! This book not only is extra spicy, the characters are dealt with some life altering challenges that were so heartfelt and relatable to read. I loveddddd this! Also, side note, I am sooo in love with this women’s hockey team. I hope we get more stories from them, that had me cracking up! -
Sloane cant miss. First book in a brand new series and the level of excitement I have for the rest of the series based off this book is HIGHHH. I had so much fun with Kendra and Sully.
This book was high high heat and delicious chemistry. The connection is intense right from the start and there’s a little forbidden aspect to it, plus a big age gap that serves perfect tension. The k!nks were so good (DADDY SULLY) and a little unexpected (hello lactation k!nk!!). Sully in ‘Coach’ mode with the Rogues was hot too. The TV show plot was not my favorite but I adored every character and where its going.
Sully was down bad from the get-go for Kendra (baby girl) and I loved it. She was so strong and so sweet, seeing her with the Lakes women was so fun too. All the little acts of service had me kicking my feet and giggling, mixed with Sullys protectiveness and I was done.
I loved the womens professional hockey team and how Sloane set the series up for them! They were so funny and you get a little taste of so many personalities. Im really excited to continue with them!
