Bottled Hell Reviews

Bottled Hell is a short story by Kyūsaku Yumeno, but oh boy, what a twisted, wicked, mind-fucking, hellish short story it is! It's impossible to mention the plot without revealing the plot twist, so I can only say that much.

what a wicked and mind-blowing story! bravo i would die for Yumeno Kyusaku
jul. 5: read this yet again and adored it! -
[ebook] A bit disappointing. Much shorter than I thought it would be and from the way other people have talked about it, I was expecting something horrifying.
It may be that this is a poor translation, or simply that it was controversial and avant-garde for its time. Or perhaps I’ve personally just read too many grotesque works to have found this one as harrowing - also a possibility.
Not sure. Hopefully the graphic comic version of it will be better. -
