I really like Ray Campbell Smith’s painting style.

Ray Campbell Smith provides an inspirational and practical guide to painting watercolour pictures. Starting with simple skills, these are developed using a series of demonstrations which are easy to follow, and clearly illustrate how to capture the freshness and beauty of this wonderful medium.

The practical demonstrations take you through several step-by-step guides to painting lively skies, water and reflections, trees and foliage, buildings, and how to paint people.

I highly recommend this book, it was an inspiration to me, it helped me to produce some really nice looking paintings very quickly, and without too much difficulty.

I ordered this book from Half.com because I have an interest in learning to paint landscapes in watercolors. This 48-page book includes materials lists and instructions for four paintings. I am a beginner. This book assumes a technical level I don't yet have. I keep the book for reference and practice.
