She took the place of his intended…
He never wanted a bride…
But God’s plans and an abandoned baby deliver more than they bargained for…

Hazel, a widow, flees her abusive father-in-law with her son, swapping identities with a mail-order bride on the train. But the weight of her deception threatens to crush her resolve. How can she deceive this ruggedly handsome man standing in front of her?

In Colorado Springs, John, a mountain man haunted by betrayal and heartbreak, never planned to open his heart again. And then this woman entered his life uninvited. But with a baby left on his doorstep, he’s forced to let her in. He hates change, but why is this one so hard to resist?

Just as they start to find solace in each other's company, danger closes in, and time runs out… They must unite their community before it's too late.

In God's embrace, the Colorado mountains stand,
A testament to His mighty hand,
Where hearts entwine in love's pure glow,
Amidst the Rockies' timeless flow.

A Miracle Family for the Mountain Man: A Christian Historical Romance Book Reviews

    Great Story

This is a really good story. I really enjoyed reading this story. When Hazel took her son Leo and fled from her abusive father in law she didn't know what she was getting into but she knew she couldn't stay there any longer. When she meets a prospective mail order bride that doesn't want to be one, she agrees to go to Colorado in her spot. On the first day in Colorado not only does she marry her husband but a baby is found on the doorstep by his aunt who lives with him. This really is a very good story.

Very well written story that really tugged at your heart at times. The h was a definite survivor and her faith gave her purpose and guidance. The H was a good man who needed her more than he realized even though he had to have a man sized toddler tantrum a couple of times until the truth became evident: they needed each other. Others provided excellent reviews of the story. Suffice it to say this author can write an emotional story that captures your attention and holds it until the end.

    So Much Adventure

This is an entertaining story with much adventure to keep the reader engaged. The characters are all multi dimensional. The only problem I have with book is the fact there's no real ending.

  • Cassidy

The ending felt a little rushed after so much build up with the plot. Was shocked to turn a page and discover the next chapter was the epilogue. The plot was overall good, wished there had been a few more moments between Hazel and John though.

    unexpected child and bride

What the heck, a child and bride on the same day, OMG what were they thinking. Who knows what will happen , read this wonderful book and tell me what you think. I never read and tell.
