Logan Morrison always fought for everything he had, but it never was much. Growing up truly alone did that to you. One day, when taking on an extra tutoring gig to help out a cute chick with a quirky name, she ends up bringing him back to her place. Cool, right?
Well, the next morning, Logan wakes up in chains and comes to learn that Cherry Cola is one beautiful and unhinged monster girl member out of three in a small Fresco City witch coven. Their plans for him? Servitude.
But Logan lands a much better deal for himself, and next thing he knows, these cuties are serving him as much as he helps them. Thanks to his deepening bond with the witchy beauties, he even begins to develop strange powers, including but not limited to the ability shapeshift into giant monsters matching their rare magical affinities.
With these new powers, it isn't long before the coven and Logan start making their own play for power—and it isn't long before the coven ladies start falling for him, either. How will Logan manage the demanding and persistent needs of his occult cuties? Will they be able to keep the larger covens out of their business? Will the danger they get themselves into be worth the rewards they reap together? And will Logan's harem—er—coven grow?

This book was interesting, but it had some classic pitfalls new authors fall into.
The MC is a guy working hard trying to make enough money to afford his night classes, when he stumbles upon a note asking for math help in the college library. Lo and behold, the math help request is from an extremely unsubtle witch looking to recruit him to be her coven's Greater Familiar by sexing him up and then handcuffing him to the bed while he sleeps. Waking up and catching wind of the plot and their desire to use him as a sex toy, he decides to not escape, but negotiate for more authority.
The MC is pretty good. He's an orphan, so has no idea of his background, but he's apparently catnip to witches wanting a familiar. And for reasons never explained, nobody knows why he wasn't detectable until 2 days prior to the start of the book.
The harem is very large for a book 1, even if it is 641 pages. By the end of the book, he's got 5 harem members. Also, the coven agreement means he knows that next morning that he's got the first 3 in the harem bag, as it were. He's already had sex with one of them in the first 25 pages, and he's slept with 3 of them before 50% of the book is done. The last 2 enter late, but that's still a lot of women in one book. and their relationships do feel surface level. They are all quirky, and their not-so-playful bickering in the early parts was a real drag on the book. Later it gets more playful, but it still gets old at times.
There weren't may typos/spelling/grammar issues in the book. I'll read the next one, but I'm hoping there is growth by the new author Edgar Riggs, since he wrote 80% of the book per the afterword. -
It should have been me!
Very refreshing read that kept me on edge until I was able to finish it. Also, Logan is one of the luckiest SOB's out there.
The girls are absolutely fabulous from the bundle of joy that is Halo, the tough acting Alpha, and the adorable Cherry, I don't know who to pick. Arachne is also fabulous, and hope to see more of her in the next book. I can't wait to see more of the workings of the inner circle and the development of their relationship.
Logan is also a relatable MC who develops alongside the other characters as the story unfolds, and I'm sure most of us could not resist the allure of his entrapment.
I for one can't wait until the next book wanting to see more of the story, the world that will unfold, and the development of their relationships. Also wish we will get more one on one moments, which were some of the most adorable parts of the novel. -
It's lighthearted, fun, and it doesn't take itself too seriously. The characters each have fun quirks and personalities, and there's a variety of spice that will probably satisfy most. I was pleasantly surprised by the kinks they explored. Edgar and Virgil are clearly an excellent duo that knows what they're doing. Looking forward to the next one (which apparently is already in the editing phase).

This is a must read
I am so glad I took a chance on this new author and can’t wait for his next solo project. it helps that Virgil Knightley was a co-author which gave me confidence at the style and quality of the book. I really like the pacing of this book and look eagerly forward to book 2. Can’t wait for the audiobook. -
Vamp, Angel, Foxy-Girl and more!
There was a generous amount of Spice in this book. At first it seemed too much and maybe it was compared to actual story plot, but I ain’t even mad. I instantly liked this story and genuinely liked how the relationships deepened and grew. Can’t wait for more!!! I need MOAR! -
awesome new series
Already a fan of Virgil’s so was an easy choice to check out this new series and am glad that I did. Great plot and pacing of the story and a well written MC with great strong female characters that aren’t card board cutouts. Can’t wait for book 2 -
