Great Technical Training Book
Has real specific and proven methodologies. A modern sprinting bible that has the latest and most modern references and techniques -
Yet another interesting read! :) I've found a lot of good info in this one. I'm not a coach, so I can't really say whether it offers something that would be of interest to professionals, but the author seems to have a pretty sensible and down to earth approach to training.
I've learned something about the specifics of training for 400m races, but most of the material applies to any kind of sprinting. Steve Bennett also includes many practical ideas, and a discussion of the programmes of some great runners, such as Olympic Champions Cathy Freeman & Michael Johnson, as well as many more.
For a published work, however, the book has far too many grammatical errors. I did my best to not let that affect my view of the book as a whole, although for a language nerd that was quite a feat. On account of this, three stars; otherwise, it would have been a solid four.
Altogether, a good job!
