Civil PE Sample Examination Reviews
-
I completely forgot my brilliant plan to stage an enactment of the exam on the weekend before, using this book. I would've gathered all my references, cloistered myself into a corner, set the alarm clock for 8 hours with lunch break, and tested. This poor little book is still in pristine condition, sad and unopened.
Judging from the other book of questions by this author/scam machine, I don't think it would've been very representative of the actual test. -
Questions way too in depth. Why can't anyone create a sample exam on the same level as the exam? This one will really bring you down and that isn't a good thing. I disagree with the author's motives. Much like his reference manual for the PE test, the title just isn't that truthful. If it is written for the PE exam, then that should be the level in my opinion.

This book says it is about ten percent harder than the real exam, I would say that is closer to 50 % harder. When I took this I got a ~60%, taking the NCEES practice exam, I got a ~95%. The actual exam was much closer to the NCEES than this book. Doesn't hurt to overpreoare, I guess.

If you can pass the exam in this book, you can pass the real PE. If you can't do these problems, you might could still pass the real PE. I think their idea is for you to over-prepare.
