Memories is the heart wrenching story of a family facing the realization that their most beloved family member is suffering from Alzheimer's disease. A disease that robs each person of their health, their dignity, and their memories. This fictional story is derived from my thoughts on how this terrible disease slowly creeps up on an unsuspecting family and the perils they face while confronting it head on. My hope is that this fictional story can shred some light on how this disease works and how it can easily destroy a family.

I did not understand why this author chose to write a book about this subject. They didn't know anything about it beforehand, and it felt like they learned as little as possible to make this book happen. I did not care for any of the family members by the end of the story as we didn't learn much about them. It was almost like a very generic outline of what could happen when a family member gets Alzheimer's, but no "meat and potatoes" to fill in said outline. I was disappointed in this book, and hope that people who are really looking for information or experiences in this serious subject matter, would look elsewhere.

    Wasn't what I expected

When you write a story about something you only know through the internet it loses something. This book at times was like reading a manual and had no story line. A lot of times I was confused because the reference to the dog was he and had to re-read to make sure I actually hadn't missed a page.
