action packed by ridiculous
It would've made more sense and better overall book if the author stuck to the paranormal portion. Instead, she bounced from premonitions to wild shootouts and bombs. Also, it felt like parts were moving too fast, almost like i skipped parts -
I’m not even gonna rate this book because it’s that bad…. This is my second read by this author and I thought that maybe the first one was just a bad read for me and decided to read this one and it wasn’t any better. Like some of this stuff is too wild even for fiction and I’m lowkey side eye this fr. A kid making bombs? Blowing up ppl and only getting a whooping? Umm ok… this was a DNF for me I wanted to keep reading but it just wasn’t enjoyable for me. The author seems that she’s trying to say wild stuff and it’s so wild it’s more cringing than enjoyable.

If drama is what you are looking for this, this is the book. I enjoyed this book a lot I had to finish it in one sitting. Stacy trash! Lucien garbage disposal! A must read. -

Oh mind what a family secret, how this girl Thought she could pass A baby off on the Nephew. And now the war is really going to heat up. I hope Barbie didn't sleep with that monster, since she is now with the son. -

This is my first book by the author, and I read it in one sitting. I love the family dynamic and the nod to New Orleans rich culture. The characters were all interesting for the most part. Some of the drama was a bit over the top, but it made for good reading and I am eagerly looking forward to part two. -
Moving too fast
I have mixed feelings about this book. On the one hand, I like Jatoria’s writing; however, I felt like the pace of this book moved too fast. Things were happening so quickly that it was hard for me to connect to the romances because it felt like they had no true development. Amant and Barbie literally had no conversations, but we are supposed to believe he loves her enough to die about her. Leo and Willow have one night, and all of a sudden she’s willing to go against her father and is in love with him. And I understand the supernatural element of the dreams, but it just felt underdeveloped and made it hard for me to believe it. But I love the crazy personalities of all the guys and the lengths they were willing to go through for the woman. I will read book two because I have to know how it ends. -
Five Star Read!!!
This book was so good I could not put it down! I love these characters!!!! Even though it's hard to choose I think Leo my favorite. He just says anything that pops up into his brain. They all crazy though but I think Amant got Leo and Luca beat because what sane person will strap a bomb vest to themselves. I like the girls in their lives also. I hope Storm gets her daughter. I'm glad she help get Barbie back. I understand why Willow mad but she should have stayed just a bit longer. What took me out was the paternity of Leo jr, well I guess they gotta change his name. Can't wait until part two.❤❤ -
Wow! What a cliffhanger!! Lucien seems to have his hand in everything! I can’t believe he’s Amant’s dad!! What a monster he is and I’m glad they found Barbie in time to save her! Amant is a wiz with his bomb making my! Leo has a good sense of humor! Luca is somewhat laid back and lethal as they come! I know they will get their revenge on Lucien! Please hurry with next installment!

Whew this book was so juicy especially that cliffhanger. I wasn’t expecting that. I can’t wait to read part two I’m sure Willow will be happy to know he isn’t the father. Hopefully nothing happens to her being that she left the room -
it definitely had potential to be good. it didnt really talk about Barbie and Amant even though they were supposed to be the main characters. it was also some stuff that was irrelevant and caused me to skim through the book alot

I can't wait for more of this drama filled story. The storyline has so much going on, from drama to secrets, to pure evil. This author is definitely delivered the beginning of a five star series that has some well developed, likeable characters. -
Very Fast Paced
This book was good but I really wish it was longer so things could flush out a little better. The fast pace of the book almost makes everything seem unbelievable.
But overall, I do love Amant, Leo, and Luca and I am excited to read what happens next. -
