In the ancient city of Petra, what they find is not what they expected.

After a miraculous escape, the two must unravel a series of nearly impossible clues to uncover the truth about the lost scroll, and to prevent their mutinous betrayer from exacting his will on the civilized world.
The Inventor's Tomb is book 23 in Ernest Dempsey's USA Today best selling Sean Wyatt series, and takes readers on a wild thrill ride full of twists, turns, and adventure. Along the way, the colorful characters on both sides of the aisle are tested to their utmost capacity, and must discover truths about themselves they never understood before.

Sean and Tommy are back in their best adventure yet!
Eureka, while I didn’t run naked through the streets of San Diego, was the word I uttered as I finished The Inventor’s Tomb. It’s hard to believe I’ve been on this journey lurking in the shadows watching Sean & Tommy for nearly 10 years as they experience their adventures. I have to say these adventures never cease to amaze, mesmerize, and entertain me. After 23 books you would think you would know everything about Sean and Tommy, but it seems with each new story each one discloses a bit more of their life as well as reveals the toll their various adventures have had on them. I love how each of these stories is a perfect stand-alone adventure, as well as an excellent introduction to the whole Sean Wyatt series/world. If you enjoy history, action-packed adventure, snarky comments, a bit of lighthearted humor and a few twists and turns to leave you wondering how you never saw it coming, grab The Inventor’s Tomb or any Sean Wyatt archeological thriller and settle in for some Grade A entertainment. -
The Inventor's Tomb can and does rival any Indiana Jones movie our there.
If you want an action-adventure book then look no further.
Sean and Tommy have been asked by archaeologists Craig Freeman to help him find the fabled scroll of Archimedes, a scroll that could lead them to one of the most powerful weapons ever to be made. Even Queen Cleopatra was searching for the same relic to help against Egypt's enemies.
But betrayal is on the cards and Sean and Tommy find themselves in yet another tricky situation.
As the search continues they uncover clue after clue and several puzzles that needs to be solved in order for them to succeed.
The story has some of the best twists, turns, thrills and adventure that I've read in a long time.
Hold on to your pants ladies and gentlemen for you are in for one heck of a archaeological thriller of a ride! -
Great adventure
This time I did worry some about the ending. The old and als
the semi new characters made it all so real and possible.
I feel and see by everything Sean and tommy do and my heart races as they get mixed up with friends who have their own agenda. But...Tony and Sean figure out what will benefit mankind and not necessarily themselves but all . I just love these good guys .
I can't wait until the next book comes out. I'm sorry you have so much research and writing and editing to to and then I go and stay up all night reading it.. Thank you for having such a great adventuretious imagination and for sharing them some freely ( not free but humainly possibly ) my hours absorbed in the book is well I am heartely
greatfully. thank you so much. -
The Inventor's Tomb - a review by Rosemary Kenny.
A sensational Sean Wyatt Archaeological Thriller by Ernest Dempsey, The Inventor's Tomb will have you reading this unputdownable epic from cover to cover...even if it takes all night.
The impetuous Sean and his somewhat more sedate partner Tommy Schultz, venture deep into an ancient mystery, that reaches across continents in a plot worthy of Indiana Jones.
Along the way they're betrayed more than once by a greedy, unscrupulous former friend and his mercenary side-kick - who of course have a hidden agenda - as they make shattering, history-changing discoveries.
There's skulduggery afoot and plenty of thrills for sure, in an adventure with with more twists and turns than an anaconda in a tumbledrier.
Read The Inventor's Tomb and gasp with amazement, shriek at the danger, weep, (sometimes with laughter) and as our intrepid heroes risk all once again, enjoy the greatest archaeological thriller you'll read this year! -
Archimedes
Sean Wyatt and Tom Schultz find archeological treasures, along with a newly corrupt colleague, and plenty of danger. Tommy finds an old colleague who got angry with him twenty years prior, and finds himself responsible for the trouble brought onto them all.
Ernest Dempsey does it again, creating a great story with a fantastic historical perspective. -
Really Enjoyed Reading This Book!!!
A book written by Ernest Dempsey never fails ...I really enjoyed reading about the latest adventure that Tommy and Sean found themselves a part of. I learn so much about history with each book, as well as being entertained by the suspense, intrigue, and excitement of a good storyline. -
Back in action
The boys are at it again! Getting themselves in and out of deadly situations. Always with some humorous jabs thrown in. Perfect situations for our favorite duo. Excellent read. -
The inventors tomb
I love each and everyone of these stories! I have a granddaughter who actually wants to be an archaeologist. And I am so excited for her. Sure there is dull hard work but if you love what you’re doing it isn’t so please continue writing. Books.
