The Ghosts of Chislehurst Caves (The Ghosts of: Book 1) Reviews

'The Ghosts of Chislehurst Caves' had some interesting stories about the caves and seemingly spiritual activities. Indeed, the author seemed to have interviewed a lot of people, sharing their stories along with his own experiences there. That being said, it was difficult at times to get past the writing. It didn't appear that the author proof read the story, nor did he have anyone else read it; many, many typos.

I have been to the caves and it is an eerie place, though we didn't have any experiences to speak of, I wouldn't want to spend the night in there, by myself or even with others.

So, if one is looking for ghost stories from/in a non-fictional setting, this might be a good read for them.

    Good stories.....but just that!!

The stories involved in this book are based on "events" in the history of the caves. Some of the events like the concerts and challenges are indeed true however there is so much that is not able to be proven true that we can only mark them up to good story telling. This is why I give the book a two star. There is a definite desire by the author to have the reader believe the stories even though to be fair he has tried in part to let you make up your own mind. Having been to the caves I felt nothing however people are different and will experience situations in different ways. A popcorn book for me.

I really enjoyed this. The author has clearly done his research and provides lots of fascinating stories about the ancient Chislehurst Caves which still to this day remain as mysterious as Stonehenge.
