Man, I want more of them! I liked the professor / student trope, with a mix of enemies to lovers in this short story. Whew Professor Singleton turned Charnell out and I was here for it! I thought it was a good idea for them to have had a past because it made the tension and chemistry enticing. I enjoyed this one! -
This book had potential but largely it was a miss for me. Mostly because I didn't like Charnell for most of the book, which is saying something because it's only 95 pages. I found her to be immature and defensive for no reason. She said Micah was an asshole when really it was her. Secondly, the fact that she wasn't described til page 80. Why are we going most of the book without knowing what the FMC looks like?? Lastly, I just found the story to be lackluster. Something was missing and it showed in how the story flowed.
