On his first solo mission with Brotherhood Protectors International, former British SAS operative, Fearghas Gordon is attacked and left for dead, floating in a canal in Bruges, Belgium. He’s fished out by the Russian spy he's determined to bring back, dead or alive.

In search of the truth about the murder of her family, Catya Rominov follows a trail of lies, deceit and cover-ups exposing the corruption of the government to which she’d sworn allegiance. The path of deception has led her to a picturesque town on the coast of Belgium and the man she reluctantly betrayed.

When she pulls Fearghas out of the water, she promises to nurse him back to health in exchange for his promise to help capture a former MI6 agent gone rogue. She’s certain he might be the key to discovering who was behind her family’s extermination and why.

Together, Fearghas and Catya navigate a hostile trajectory on trains across Europe and a passion that threatens to crash through the barriers of their hardened hearts.

Belgian Betrayal (Brotherhood Protectors International Book 2) Reviews

Oh my goodness. Having read the prequel in the short stories I new Fearghas and Catya’s story was going to be good! Unknown to me its more than good it‘s epic!
I love this European branch! Its different but still similar to the US branch’s. This team coming from different European Special Forces Team brings a uniqueness to their stories.
This second book brings new problems and enemies to the team and their connections and Brotherhood has to bring out all their secret weapons and strength.
Fantastic read and the epilogue is fantastic.

I can’t even begin to describe how much the setting of this story energized me!!! Bring on the intrigue, action, and fast paced adventure!!!

Loved these fierce characters so much!! They added just the perfect touch to an outstanding read!!!!

A must read!!! Five stars and beyond!

Wow, what an amazing read!!! I loved a small taste of Fearghus and Catya we got in the anthology ElleJames was part of, but I never imagined that the rest of their story would be so action packed and on-the-edge-of-your-seat exciting.

This has to be my favourite book so far in the Brotherhood Protectors International series. Elle James has truly outdone herself.

The action gabs you from the very beginning, straps n you in and taking you on one heck of a rollercoaster ride you won’t ever want to get off.

The whole story is informative, packed full of depth and emotion, and leaves you breathless with the adrenaline that pours from the pages.

Fearghus and Catya could not have been more well matched. They are truly two halves of one heart. Fearghus is a strong alpha protector. It’s so heartwarming to see how his first and only instinct is to do what he can to protect Catya. But it’s all the more heartwarming that Catya is just as willing to do the same for him.

This spellbinding read will undoubtedly hold you enthralled with all the twists and turns as Fearghus and Catya work together with his team to search out the evil chasing them and bring them
    to justice.

A very memorable read. Highly recommend. So many more than 5 stars is needed to do this story justice.

Fast paced, gripping, espionage that brings in the International Brotherhood Protectors unit. I guess I should not have been surprised to see some of the originals appear.

I loved the fact that Catya was a skilled assassin. But, I enjoy a good read where the FMC is at the top of her game. Strong, independent, highly skilled, but not so arrogant as to acknowledge she may need assistance to accomplish her goal.

I did like the way Fearghas dropped everything to support Catya. They had good chemistry. I appreciated the way Fearghas was able to call on Ace, Hank, and the other members of the team for backup.

A nice amount of action, danger, and suspense. I also liked that a lot of the movement in this book took place via train. The book seemed to end far too soon. Of course, I am always here for an epilogue! 4.5 stars.

I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

I do love a homegrown MMC and Fearghas did not disappoint. How can you go wrong with a Scottish SAS veteran turned bodyguard?!?!?! Catya was a great counterpart for him. He's seen as more a blunt weapon and she is the stealthy, silent assassin!

These two needed the heads bashed together sometimes. Catya thought leaving Fearghas was the safer option for him, but she still managed to get him in the crosshairs of the bad guys! Fearghas was slow to tell Catya how important she was to him and he was left behind in Athens with a broken heart.

There was hearbreak and espionage, mingled with reunited lovers and a race across Europe. There was great support from the cast of secondary characters, including the new hacker Lucie. There are even some cameos from the bog boss himself!

Fast paced, quick read and plenty of action. The chemistry is hawt and these two have a smexy time getting to know each other once more!

Belgian Betrayal is book 2 in the Brotherhood Protectors International series by Elle James and oh my what a riveting read!

Up next is Fearghas and Catya’s story … bringing them back together only to put them in danger. When Catya is sent to take out the daughter of an arms dealer, she believe all might not be what it seems…only to discover she has been set up..she reaches out to Fearghas for help. What happens next is a well written, action packed, suspenseful read with more twists, turns, edge of your seat, emotional, betrayal, rollercoaster ride and help from the BHP on both sides of the pond!

I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy (ARC) of this book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

  • Leanne ~ Tales From The Heart

A fabulous team is forming in the International branch of the Brotherhood Protectors.
Catya is an assassin, only one with morals, she investigates her targets and cannot see a reason to take out her latest target. It would seem lies and deceit is coming from high up in the food chain.
Her loved ones are being taken out and she reaches out to a past love for assistance. Fearghas, former SAS is part of the Brotherhood.
It's one action packed story as they get to the bottom of this mystery while trying to stay alive.
Great storyline and interesting characters throughout, I highly recommend this series.

Fearghas’s first mission with the Brotherhood Protectors will bring him face to face with the woman he has never forgotten. He is determined to protect her as she searches for answers on who wants her and everyone she loves eliminated.

Catya knows that there is more to her mission than she has been told. She believes that letting Fearghas know that he might be in danger and then keeping her distance is the right thing to do however he and the Brotherhood Protectors don’t agree.

Intrigue, action and a love that was always meant to be despite as Fearghas and Catya learn to trust each other under the direst of circumstances.

  • Suzette

This is a second chance love story packed with all the tension and action of a Brotherhood Protectors story. The European setting is divine and provides an exotic backdrop for the characters to kick butt. Catya is a killer on a mission and trying hard not to fall in love. Fearghas is a protector in every sense of the word and would give his life for the woman he loves. Readers will love diving back into this world that the author continues to wonderfully expand. The new characters are great and they are fantastic with the old ones they meet. This will make a great addition to the growing collection of this series.

    Catya and Fearghas

Another brilliant story from Elle James. This one featured Fearghas, former SAS and now working for the Brotherhood Protectors international Branch and his 'former' love Catya, an assassin working as a double agent. She and a M16 agent Atkins are given a joint task to assassinate someone, but she's not sure that it's right. Unfortunately someone beats them to it and then a chase across Europe and England ensues.
There's a lot of suspense and drama and Catya and Fearghus reconnecting amongst it all. Hank and Sadie also get involvec.
    It's brilliant

  • Julia David

I love how Fearghas quietly goes to Catya's rescue. He would do anything for her. Catya doesn't want him involved in her problems and she can handle herself, but it is good to see Fearghas and it is good to have someone at her back. Catya is used to working alone and when her handler insisted that she have a partner, she is not happy. When the mission fails spectacularly, Catya doesn't know who she can trust. Did the man they sent to help her betray her? How high up in MI6 is the corruption? Catya has lost her parents because of this, and she doesn't want to lose Fearghas too.

Arc review For a honest review in my own words. Catya romaov is a assassin who finds herself being tagged after a hit gone wrong ,trying to protect the only other person she has left and loves , she ask for Brotherhood Protectors International, former British SAS operative, Fearghas Gordon to hide only he's not going to leave her fend for herself .I loved how these two characters go on to find out what happened and went wrong . you are going to find yourself wrapped into this story. Fantastic

Once again we get thrown into a world of espionage, bullets, murder & the good over evil. Elle does this well with the Scotsman we love & an Assassin with morals. I enjoyed the fast pace on the run while trying to rescue & get answers. Love the drop ins from our brotherhood protectors which only adds the excitement. Read & enjoy! Honest Review.

  • Shelley

The book is another winner for Elle James. The relationship between the two main characters was a fairly new relationship for me it was much better. Old characters were brought in and new characters were introduced who I expect to see in a future book to come. Don’t miss this one it’s an entertaining story.

    Belgian Betrayal

Action packed beginning to the very end. What a group that had become pulled together to solve a mystery that continues to grow. It all started with two assassins being sent to kill one woman who is an innocent killed by another. Enter The Brotherhood Protectors and mixed group of characters to ferret out the bad guys.

  • Delaine Mclafferty

This book is about betrayal, revenge, strength and falling in love. Brotherhood Protectors International is just as good as the ones in the US and will keep you turning pages as it keeps you trying to figure out what’s going to happen next. I recommend this book.
