Due to a merger, the company Noah works for is making cuts and reducing redundancy, as they claim it. Noah decides to be angry and impulsive, breaking into the CEO's office and wanting to make a mess. While in the process of his act, Adrian walks into his office and interrupts. Noah is reeling at being caught and trying to find a way to get out of legal punishment. Adrian gives Noah a proposition to become his sugar baby since he meets most of Adrian's needs as far as he can tell. Noah is very uncertain because he's never liked men in a sexual way and he's heard rumors of what Adrian likes in that department. Seeing that Noah is thinking about it but unsure, Adrian proposes that they do a trial run right now and then Noah can have some time to think about the offer afterwards. Noah has an awakening that he never expected during this trial run and he tries to deny his pleasure in it all, but failing. The short story ends on Noah being left alone to make his decision. I'm not sure if this will be a continuing story line or if this is how these two ends for this part of a short story series by the author. I could easily read a whole book about these two if it was written.

Usually I avoid BDSM books with Dom and Sub in them, but since it was light, the blurb intrigues me, and it was a short story, why didn't I give it a try?
Their Dom and Sub dynamics were light since it was the beginning of their arrangement, but when Adrian asked Noah to lick his leather couch in his office, I found it was gross, and I didn't like that scene.

After being unexpectedly laid off revenge on the boss seems sweet, getting caught in the boss's office literally with your pants down, not so much. And so begins a slow sexy form of torture, giving us a rather angsty but oh so sexy read. The frustrating part is the ending which isn't an ending.

This was a really different and interesting read. This was a book that was interesting enough I finished it, but I probably wouldn't read it again.
