I was sent a copy of this little novella/short story in exchange for an honest review.

I’ll be straightforward, I normally don’t read short stories. I find that I quite often don’t get closure from them, or “enough,” I’m usually left wanting more. So I’ll be honest in saying that this being a short story does affect my rating.

IF YOU LIKE short stories - definitely give this one a go! This was so unique and surprisingly dark in the end. I had no issues understanding the characters, the plot was great and tbh… I actually found myself enjoying it!

I did figure out quite early on who was responsible, but the reasoning behind it was not what I expected at all!

A quick read, I’m glad the author reached out to me for this one and I’d like to thank the author for the opportunity.

I received this short story in exchange for an honest review and I want to firstly thank the author for that.
This story was very unique and interesting. The concepts were well executed and it has definitely made me interested to read the other short stories by this author. I definitely recommend checking it out.

The twist is one I should have seen coming in this novel and yet when I read it I found my jaw dropping as I realized just where the author was going with this one. I found the premise for this novella to be interesting in its approach to magic and the capabilities of the FMC. I wish it had been longer in order to expand upon those ideas as well as what happens next. It was a bit exposition heavy up front and it isn’t always clear on the world building but it’s a fun read that picks up pace just as it’s about to end leaving room for so much more.
