    wow…

Talk about being truly brutal that it was like an art form. There was a line in the series “The Fall” where one of the MC said something to the effect of “Once you free yourself of the trappings of morals and humanity; then man-made laws, norms, social mores no longer hold you and you no longer fear them, you’re free. You’re free to do whatever you want to do. There is no more conscience. Just choices to just be and do as you see fit.” He was a serial killer of women. When you witness Ela…well, it’s a similar frame of thought. I never seen any resemblance of her being conscientious. I kept hoping for it, but never witnessed it.

The worse thing about Ela is that just when you think you’re friends, you find yourself on the other side of living… She stayed true to her character. The longer she had time as a vampire, Coleen was right. Even though she continually held out hope that as her maker; she’s choose another path. We’re all still waiting.

Sad part is that part of me feels something for Ela. She’s interesting but dangerous and deadly. No one is safe around her. I guess it’s the old frog and snake analogy. Expectations of goodness can get you killed.

    Wow

I liked how we got the back story of Eli in this one. It sad that she died in the first book. This was another one that had me hook from the beginning. I love the storyline from when Ela was a child to when she got older. I like how we were introduced to all the different characters in Ela's story. I would definitely recommend this book. Off to read book 3 Becoming Forever.
