Mastering the Art of Plant-Based Cooking: Vegan Recipes, Tips, and Techniques Reviews
-
If you can have just one vegan cookbook, this is it. Mastering the Art of Plant-Based Cooking is a veritable bible of vegan cooking. At just under five hundred pages, it contains an extensive selection of recipes with so many additional options for variation that I honestly think it would take me years to cook them all. The book is broken down into thirteen different sections and covers everything from breakfast to dinner with snacks, sides, and desserts; as well as, seasonings, sauces, condiments, and nut cheeses. The majority of the recipes are on a single page, are accessible to all, and don't contain hard-to-find ingredients. There are very few photos in this book; however, I didn't really find that to be a problem. Everything is so straightforward that I don't think they are needed. Some dishes that I tried and loved are a butternut squash and potato bake, eggplant with a black bean sauce, and a zucchini guacamole. This is a perfect book for anyone interested in plant-based meals. Ten Speed Press provided me with a free copy of this book; the opinions are my own.

This is for people who are really motivated and have time for extended food prep. Finding ingredients may be difficult in areas without many diverse store options. That said, there are several recipes I will be using.

Interesting recipes but the book is too big to make it useful to use in a small kitchen.
