The Forest: A new Saskia van Essen crime mystery thriller (Saskia van Essen mysteries) Reviews

I am fond of detective work and thrillers packed around their work. When I picked up this book, I thought it would be a normal one with some thrills woven in a forest, but this was more than that.
It was a thrill for a detective and her family, who are her suspects.
Saskia, known for solving many crimes, with her extraordinary skills of attention to details and emotional intelligence, gets into a different scenario.
A different and dreaded situation opens for her as she investigates a new crime and meets the Rowland family in a timber mill. Her life takes a different turn.
As she gets closer to the suspect, her life gets more in danger, and the situation gets worse with each unfolding of the truth.
I was caught and impressed by the intricately woven plot, which can easily make you part of the story. Although sometimes the subplots seem a little bit long, the end justifies it. You would not keep this book down until and unless the suspect is caught, as this keeps you spell-bound.
