When Gabe Western decided to come out to his parents after his fifteenth birthday, he had no idea it would lead to the end of his contented family life. An unexpected invite gives him the opportunity to see he is not alone, but meeting with other gay teens increases the homophoic abuse he endures at home. Supported by his close friend, Gabe reaches a decision that will change his life.
Contrasting the hateful prejudice of his home life with the acceptance he receives from his friends, Gabe's story is one of a teenager's survival against oppression, a story of continued hope, and with past secrets being revealed.
This story begins a few weeks after the ending of the previous novel, "Being Jackson Nash", and it contains several characters from that story so we can see how they have developed and how their lives are so different to Gabe's life.

Another wonderful book by Stephen Williams! Gabe is easy to love as the MC, although like most of us, he doesn't always see what's right in front of his eyes. Some wonderful twists in this story to boot!
