Amazons Attack (2023-) #1 Reviews
-
Boring in comparison to its already underwhelming mainline Wonder Woman series, there’s too much blandly portrayed politics and not enough entertainment. Additionally, the characters have yet to show chemistry and need to prove that they will be able to carry this story on their shoulders. It’s early doors, but there needs to be a big step up for this to genuinely impress.

This was fun! I like seeing the implications for the Amazons, and it's helped fill in some pieces of the puzzle Tom King dropped in our laps with WW #1.
Artwork is looking good and story is already moving at a cracking pace so looking forward to the next issue.
Also very happy to see another familiar face helping out! -
Decent. Nice to see Yara's badass sexy self back in the picture. This basically is a companion piece to the current Wonder Woman run by Tom King. No one is liking Amazons right now and hunting them.

FUCK YEAH

Okay, you had a Bana-Mighdall representative talk about the fact their branch of the Amazons are mostly human. They're the result of centuries of interbreeding between Theymisciran Amazons and human men. (She didn't mention anything about the endless slaughter of boy babies.)
Now, where the fuck did these Esquecida Amazons come from? I really need an explanation. -
anxious to give any big review statement because it’s clearly a set-up issue, but i like the action and i’m interested to see where it goes! it’s an interesting idea to have the Amazons ostracized by the world, it’s a neat reversal

I'm not usually into Wonder Woman comics but I truly find this story line SO interesting. I'm looking forward to the other issues of this and the Wonder Women comic.

Amazon's Attack Insomnia... no, not the villain from the Knight Terrors series. This was super boring. I thought once Mary showed up, it would get better.... it didn't.
