All sugar, no spice needed
A wholesome, cute Christmas story. Two college students find themselves alone on Christmas day, not realizing that it was orchestrated by God to bring them together. It was short and sweet and I appreciated that sweet epilogue. -
Kami x Jordan
This was just a bundle of sweetness and cuteness. Two college students left alone on Christmas day made their own Christmas Magic. It was filled with Christmas and a nice dose of Jesus…swoon 🥰 -
A very sweet and clean novella about how two college students fell in love.
-
This was a cute Black romance that takes place during the holiday season. My only issue that it was a bit too religious for me, but that’s just a personal preference.
-
This was only 37 pages, but it was so cute! I loved reading Kami and Jordan's love story and I loved the fact that they both loved Jesus.
-
This was a cute short story. Coffee and dinner with your forever.
-
Super cute holiday read.

Christmas Quickie
Quick little Christmas read on being at the right place at the right time and Christmas blessings from God. Enjoyed it. -
short, sweet, & to the point. good Christmas read about how God places you just where you’re supposed to be.
Kami & Jordan meet an freshman orientation at college and have a mutual attraction to one another. Due to their circumstances, they are united on Christmas and their love story begins.
I didn’t like how the epilogue did that time jump though, it went a little fast but overall still a good cozy book. Reminds me of a hallmark or lifetime Christmas movie. -
The prayers in this book were precious.
Such a cute & wholesome novella! -
Reading this book on Christmas Eve gave me all of the Christmas feelings. Even though this book was short, I enjoyed the characters. Jordan and Kami were so cute. I loved that they both had Christian values. The ending was really cute.

HBCU, LOVE, & COFFEE
Absolutely beautiful story. I smiled the entire time I read it. I was hooked at the word STARBUCKS, but the incorporation of black love and the idea of a HBCU sold me. Excellent read. -
Kami is a freshman at Amani University, an HBCU in Washington. She meets Jordan at freshmen orientation and is immediately attracted to him. Little does she know Jordan likes her too but neither of them have the courage to admit their feelings. When cancelled Christmas plans cause them both to stay on campus for the holidays, they end up running into each other at Starbucks and having a conversation that changes their lives forever.
This was a short and sweet read about college love. I loved the inclusion of HBCU culture. The interaction between Kami and Jordan at Starbucks was adorable. Everything aligned perfectly for them to meet and finally admit how they felt. The time jump in the epilogue was shocking initially but it ended up being a super sweet conclusion to a warm holiday romance. ♥️☕️🎄 -
You know when someone says “the book was like a warm hug”…. Well this was the epitome of exactly that. There were Christian elements to the story but they weren’t shoved down your throat…so even non religious people can enjoy the story. This was just a cute story of soulmates bonding over Christmas break…and I ate it up!!!!!!!!!!
Mariah Carey already said it’s tiiiiiiiiime! So go pick this up… it’s literally the season! -
Sweet
It was a bit repetitive in the beginning. I think more time with the mains and less time with them on the phone with the mommas would have been nice. But the interactions at the dinner were so cute. -
Sweet short story
Quick and straight to the point, very sweet love story that made me smile. A very pleasant read about the miracle of love at Christmas. -
This is one of the most captivating and remarkable romantic narratives I have ever read. I'm glad I did.
-
This was cutttttte!!!🥰🥰 I loved all the references of the real REASON FOR THE SEASON!!! This was literally a perfect novelette.
-
Cute Christmas romance. 🎄 ❤️ I really enjoyed this one.
-
It was a quick feel good story! Now I want to go and sit and read in Starbucks. The Starbucks Christmas Atmosphere is always so lovely!
-
If you're into clean romance check out Christmas at Starbucks. It's like reading a Hallmark movie. Set at a fictional HBCU, two college students find themselves at Starbucks on Christmas and the rest is holiday magic. All the feels 🎅🏿❤️

Quick little cute read

Book Review: “Christmas at Starbucks” by Brittany Green
As the holiday season approaches, there’s nothing quite like a heartwarming story set against the backdrop of festive cheer and serendipitous romance. Brittany Green’s “Christmas at Starbucks” offers just that—a charming tale of young love blossoming in the most unexpected of places.
Set in the unique surroundings of Amani University, the only HBCU on the West Coast, the story introduces us to Kami and Jordan, two freshmen whose initial spark during orientation fizzled out, only to be reignited in a chance Christmas Day encounter at Starbucks. Green weaves their story with the deftness of a seasoned storyteller, capturing the essence of a Hallmark movie, where fate and faith conspire to bring two hearts together.
What sets this novel apart is its brisk pacing. At 37 pages, it’s a sharp, concise read, perfect for a cozy evening. Green’s narrative is straightforward, eschewing unnecessary complexities, which allows the reader to be fully immersed in the developing relationship between Kami and Jordan. The brevity of the book, while refreshing, left me yearning for more—a deeper dive into the characters’ journey from their serendipitous reconnection to becoming a family and establishing their own holiday traditions.
As a new reader of Brittany Green’s work, “Christmas at Starbucks” was a delightful introduction. It’s a testament to her skill that even within a short span, she crafts a narrative that is both engaging and emotionally resonant. While I would have relished additional chapters exploring the characters’ evolution over time, this novel remains a sweet, succinct portrayal of young love and the magic of the holiday season.
In summary, “Christmas at Starbucks” is a heartwarming, quick read, ideal for those seeking a touch of romance infused with the spirit of Christmas. Green’s ability to capture the essence of young love and holiday traditions in such a concise format is commendable, making this book a recommended read for anyone looking to indulge in a brief, yet fulfilling, holiday story. -
Just one cup of coffee!
This is my first read by this author and it was a cute short story. This author is getting me in the holiday reading mood. I love this time of year with all the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's stories are released. It makes loving love even more heightened. When it seemed like Kami and Jordan's Christmas was ruined it was really the start of a forever love. Kami's mother's intuition was on point because she prepared a meal for two. Jordan got to enjoy the fruit of her labor as well. A home-cooked meal over a special cup of coffee made for one of the best Christmases ever for Kami and Jordan. If you are looking for a quick read to get you into the holiday spirit this short story is it. -

Aww
This gave me all the Christmas feels and is probably my favorite so far of the holiday season! It is true, Jesus will place you at the right time and with the right people! Merry Christmas everyone! 😍⛄ -
Cute Christmas love story. Quick read. Loved the prayer Kami prayed when she remembered the reason for the season LOL.
