Executive Functioning Skills for Adult ADHD: Proven Tools and Strategies to Strengthen Executive Functioning, Build Healthy Habits, and Overcome ADHD Challenges (Women with ADHD Book 5) Reviews

This book offers a decent introduction to managing ADHD as an adult, providing practical tips and relatable case studies. I appreciated the author's straightforward explanations of executive functioning and their emphasis on embracing ADHD rather than fighting it. However, I found some sections a bit repetitive and felt that more depth on certain strategies would have been beneficial. Overall, it's a decent resource that provides solid advice but may leave you wanting more comprehensive guidance in some aspects.

The authors choose to identify highlight ADHD as a difference rather than a disorder and for this I am grateful. The prevailing literature harps on about it as though an it is illness that can’t be overcome. The writers focus on how to overcome the barriers to success and present a balanced view with evidence on ADHD and habits. The suggest ways to build positive habit. They suggest through a series of questioning and grids ways f addressing personal challenges and break them down into manageable chunks so the reader can see how they can make progress. They also talk about setbacks and ways in which healthy habits can be added, affirmations and. Exercises. They then recap towards the end.
